I’m so sorry anon, but I personally find it really funny when people hear the songs where taylor is working through her feelings of being betrayed by Scott B and attribute them to karlie instead.

It’s like finding a man holding a gun standing over a dead body and saying, hang on a minute… what if the real murderer is the victim’s gf… because two of her friends liked a gossipy tweet written by a known shit-stirrer!

that is to say, we know for a fact that taylor felt deeply betrayed by scott b, seeing as he’s verifiably the actual person who sold her masters to scooter, after treating taylor like family since she was very young. it’s pretty self-evident he deserves the level of vitriol in the smallest man who ever lived (besides the other descriptive details that link him to tsmwel, mtr etc).

as for taylor and karlie suddenly never being seen together again (seemingly drifting apart a whole year before the heist even happened, remember?), well she hasn’t spoken on that, so naturally we read between the lines in the songs to find out. some people have taken the masters heist songs to be about karlie, and ran with that. but others see karlie and taylor’s retreat into privacy reflected in songs under the ‘love blackout’ theme (especially around here, you’re on a longtime kaylor blog 🙈)

love blackout = the hints taylor has put out again and again that she intentionally distanced her public image from karlie’s because it was too dangerous to carry on as openly as they had at first. 2016 election sadness themes, secret love themes, all consistent over the years. all while writing new love songs that use callbacks to the rep muse, to yail even 🥺. as if taylor’s been using all the confusion and her masterful quill of misdirection to achieve her priority of protecting karlie. not protecting karlie’s public image and clout with swifties, which she doesn’t need to maintain her success because she was always successful in her own right! no, it’s all for Karlie The Person in their secret bubble of reality. all this showmanship, you know. the great war, hello!!!! too many songs to name where the kaylor chandelier is safely out of sight, but you can still see flickers through the boarded up windows ❣️

so forgive me for having a chuckle. to any anons who sincerely🛸want to believe, I’m just throwing it out there that there are plenty of us that never found the karlie-betrayer theory convincing at all. if you take a closer look at everything, the timeline of events and all the songs since, does it really make sense? (especially when there are so many shitty men in the mix who are more obviously to blame lol)

i think a lot of people are predisposed to blaming karlie and so everything becomes a sort of confirmation bias.. which partially, i would argue, was by design.. so in a sense i do not fault gaylors or others for falling into this hole. but i do sometimes feel like faulting them a tiny bit for those who never climb out of it. there’s plenty of information and clues needed to figure it out and climb out of it.

one thing i don’t like about the whole “let’s not talk about muses” discourse is while the spirit of it is supposed to be “let’s study why these songs sound gay instead of commenting taylor lyrics on these people’s instagram pages,” in practice the phrasing almost is like giving yourself permission to pass judgement on the people in taylor’s story and then never reevaluate them. people often say ~lets not talk muses that’s invasive and gross~ and conveniently refuse to adjust their perception of karlie (for example) based on what taylor is putting out there, while making convenient exceptions for any interpretation they find that works to reinforce their already negative perception of her. and then after bitching about her they’ll cover their timeline in lisa frank dolphins because apparently that’s what paradise is. i dunno. it all feels dystopian to me atp 😆

At the 3:14 timestamp in dorothea, there's a voice that sounds like Karlie's saying "Yeah, I'm here" quietly in the background vocals, which is particularly amusing/interesting because the area code for St. Louis is 314. Also, the name of Karlie's grandfather Bernard's mother was Ella Dorthea. And funnily enough, Tupelo is where that photoshoot that Karlie kissed Emrata for happened. So dorothea's similarities to The Prophecy are really interesting and is something that should probably be pondered upon

Cartier Women’s Initiative on Karlie Kloss

My kaylor deep dive began almost a year ago (so I am but a teensy n00b). It has been a journey! I have reached a number of conclusions and have so many thoughts!

I think the two love each other a lot—Taylor really leans into this in her music, and definitely seems to use her music and her art to profess her love. Sometimes I want to make a list of things she loves about Karlie (based on song analysis alone—though one can draw conclusions from tour visuals, interviews, etc. too).

I do wonder whether Karlie’s life would look very different without Taylor. Would she be out? Would she be in a lavender marriage? Sometimes I feel like Karlie is living a “put baby in a corner” life, but then I realize that there is no way Taylor likes the circumstances they are in. Taylor is the tortured poet though—Karlie is her sunshine. It stands to reason that Taylor carries so much pain and guilt and Karlie is the one trying to get her to see the bright sides of things. I do believe that they have [redacted] bc Karlie wanted to and Karlie convinced Taylor. I think this has been a beautiful thing for the both of them. Who knows what Karlie has agreed to keep their relationship safe? Who knows what Taylor has agreed to or endured? They seem to balance each other, which is nice. My gut is somehow telling me that the lavender marriage broke Taylor’s heart a little, even if she agreed to it. The circumstances of it all are something to grieve.

All that said, I’m glad that Taylor is conveying Karlie’s perspective more in her music. It’s a way to honor her and I think shows a lot of character growth in Taylor.

TTPD is such a great song in that I do agree it’s from Karlie’s perspective and it’s all about her bringing Taylor back down to earth. Taylor, as a creative person, feels her emotions strongly, doesn’t forget anything, and seems to fall into fantasy to escape her reality—a defense mechanism many of us who have had difficult childhoods recognize as life saving in many ways

Taylor is now an adult though, and this song seems to give us the perspective that Karlie has to lovingly be like GIRL get it together—“you’re not Dylan Thomas I’m not Patty Smith, this ain’t The Chelsea Hotel we’re modern idiots” is such a gorgeous line that I believe speaks to Karlie trying to get Taylor to stop romanticizing the past / her own trauma and to just work through it

As an artist myself, I absolutely was worried at one point that working through my own traumas would make me less creative, less able to make expressive art—this song made me realize maybe Taylor has some of those fears as well *hence* we are still here in the Land of Bearding in 2024 and Karlie’s like Bitch Please I’m here and I’ll always be here to help

Eh, Karlie did an interview with Glamour last year when she was 8 months pregnant with Eli where she explained that her mental health was extremely vulnerable for the first six months that she was postpartum after Levi was born.

Most Swiffers and even a hell of a lot of Gaylors act like unforgivably heinous bastards towards Karlie even still nowadays, so I don't blame either Taylor or Karlie for not doing anything together publicly after Karlie went to Taylor's concert on August 9th when Karlie was barely 6 weeks postpartum with Eli, Karlie doing that for Taylor when she was in such a vulnerable state with both her mental and physical health and while most of Taylor's fans hate her guts and want her dead is already such a ridiculously beautiful act of unconditional love that nothing publicly happening with Kaylor afterwards isn't even close to something worth worrying about.

Karlie is now 10 months postpartum and she's in Paris with Taylor for Mother's Day weekend, the lack of public interaction between them after the August 9th concert is nothing to worry about Anon, they were just safeguarding what's truly important until things were less raw and vulnerable 🥹

Renaissance Story from an Elder

In 2022, over dinner chatting about music, a good girlfriend casually dropped “have you heard of Gaylor and that one theory is that Reputation is actually about Karlie Kloss?” Record scratch- What?! 🤯I need to know more as this did not line up with what I had thought.

After departing dinner, late into the night I dove into her suggested podcasts, PowerPoints, and blogs. I fell hard and fast through the rabbit hole! 🐇🕳️!

Now I hate to admit this but I had gone through life just casually listening to music, not really reading and analyzing lyrics, themes or parallels in an artists discography. I was bad at remembering lyrics, often singing the wrong words, so I just never dug past the surface….until my 👀 came upon ALL OF THIS on Kaylor Tumbler!

As a former lurker of a few of your beautiful Kaylor blogs, in 2023 I felt the need to go off anon in order to “heart” just about every post I saw and contribute to the konversations.

Never in my life, would I have thought I’d find a such a welcoming, smart, witty, beautiful niche community on Tumbler (I didn’t even know what this site was until I fell down in the 🐇🕳️)

Through all this deep dive into Kaylor history and current Kaylor, bearding, learning so much about queer flagging, queer history & cultural references and starting to listen, really listen, to more queer artists, IG algorithms doing their thang, seeing so many representations of the LGBTQIA community, I had some honest conversations with myself and finally admitted that I was not 100% straight.

Look I had some fun in my 20’s and there were many alcohol-infused situations that sober me would chalk up to being under the influence and moved on with hetero life.

After going through a few months of a 2023 sober-curious journey, simultaneously while Kaylor’ing, I just knew I couldn’t explain away some resurfaced 🌈 feelings. I needed to be honest with myself and my spouse of 17 years, that I am beautiful bi. 🌈

I haven’t lost any love or attraction to my husband at all and this vulnerable realization has only made our relationship stronger. He is so supportive and I am so thankful, what a relief off my mind.

I guess to sum it up, witnessing one of the greatest love stories unfold is truly an honor, like we’re in a secret club.

Kaylor has helped me become a more honest, educated, understanding, and empathetic person! With the deepest gratitude I thank this community! I’m so excited for what may unfold in the coming months & years.

Karlie in TTPD

Not sure why people think Kaylor is dead based on TTPD. Like...the following songs a million percent confirmed it for me (and I still haven't dug into all 31 songs on the albums).

Note that Karlie exists (IMO) as an alternate perspective, or as a background character, or is there in the sense that Taylor is speaking about Karlie's role in the PR shenanigans.

I can't tell you how naturally this album fits into my sense of the arc of their relationship. I'm coming off of a ridiculous amount of time with Taylor's older albums and Karlie is ALL OVER THE ABOVE SONGS. Again, in my opinion. But like...it's my strong opinion. LMAO

Taylor writing Down Bad, a song with a metaphorical alien abduction plot-line where the alien probes her but like in a very sexy way that Taylor is tremendously down bad for and then assigning a twin reference to said alien when there is more than three years worth of 'twin reference = Karlie' discourse in her fandom might just be one of the funniest things that Taylor has ever done in her entire life 🙈

You know what I think? Taylor and Karlie would have been out together a LONG time ago if it wasn’t for her father/team/label. Especially with kissgate. She was so, so happy that night. Drunk, yes. But free. And if her team wasn’t such assholes, they would have just let them be. Let them continue on, showing the world the truth.

She regrets not fighting harder. She regrets that THEY took Karlie away from her publicly. And maybe the girls did think it was worth going into a love blackout for a while, especially after the election. Maybe that was their new normal so that they could grow their family in peace. But it came at a cost. Taylor hates what she has to do to hide it, to entertain the fans that refuse to see what she’s been SCREAMING.

So, now, they made this decision to keep giving hint after hint, Easter egg after Easter egg. They’re not that secretive. It probably makes them so happy to be able to do that for themselves and the tiny corner of this fandom that sees them. So, to protect that against the masses, there has to be a showmanship distraction, even if it kills her soul. Because her fans have shown time and time and time again, they only look at the very very surface level of what she’s showing. Not listening to what she’s actually saying.
