they kill someone (who starts panicking and wants to tell the police? who proposes to bury the corpse at a random place? who proposes to eat the body so the police never founds it? who actually calls the cops and blames it on the others? who takes a selfie with the corpse and posts it on snapchat?...)

they're playing and one of them got hurt (who hurts them harder? who blames it on the one that got hurt? who acts like nothing happened? who jokes about it as a coping mechanism? who helps the one that got hurt?...)

DO NOT GIVE UP!!! Do not give up. You are so worthy of your desires. Why would you give your power away and ditch your desires all because of the 3D?? You're literally so SO powerful! You can manifest literally anything you want in the blink of an eye. You literally have sooo000 much strength in your mind. Why give up on your desires? You're too good to be doing this to yourself, I swear.

Remember why you started! Why did you start manifesting your desire in the first place? What motivated you to start consciously manifesting it? Pull yourself back up, dust yourself off, and get back on track. Your desires are already yours. Keep up with your mental diet and your self concept and you'll see movement in no time. It's that simple! Just be patient and trust the process, ok?

Villan: How the FUCK! do you expect me to terrorize and destroy this city if it's already being terrorized and destroyed by shit like poverty and climate change! and that stupid ridiculously good looking imbecile that keeps flying through the buildings or throwing cars and destroying my evil plans!!!!

Villan: and there's all these homeless people!! How am I supposed to destroy their homes and ruin their lives if they don't have homes and their lives are already ruined!? And you keep cutting down the trees I was going to use to make evil tree robots!! And it is so fucking hot I can hardly focus on developing my next malevolent plan!!

Villan: this is all ridiculous!! *Pull out huge fucking extra cool si fi gun from coat pocket and points it at City mayor* either you fix it or I'll BLOW YOU TO NOTHING BUT MOLECULES!!!!

The villain’s stare bored itself into the hero relentlessly and the hero felt - as so often - the crushing weight growing heavier. If it wasn’t for the villain, they’d be dead.

“I don’t know,” the hero whispered. Their voice was hoarse, completely breaking apart. “I’m sorry.”

“I didn’t ask for an apology, I asked for an explanation.” The villain wiped some dust off their clothes and took in a deep breath. Unlike the hero, they were untouched, perfectly healthy. However, also in a scarily bad mood.

Usually, the villain wasn’t as serious as they should have been. So, this was surprising. The villain had never saved the hero.

“I don’t know,” the hero repeated. They put their head in their hands, grabbed the roots of their hair. “I’m sorry, but I don’t know.”

“Think, then.”

The hero looked up.

“I feel like I’m at a point in my life where…where I’m standing still. I can’t go forward. And if I do move, I go backwards and then, I come back to the same point. I…I don’t know what I was thinking, I knew this mission would be dangerous. I didn’t know it would be suicide. I’m, fuck, I’m…I’m stupid.”

The villain’s brows furrowed.

“Alright, enough.” They raised a hand as if to silence the hero. “Your personal problems don’t concern me, but I can’t save you every time you’re in trouble. Ruins my reputation.”

“I’m not asking you to save me.”

“It’s not much of a choice when you look at me like a sad puppy.” The villain sighed and kneeled in front of them. “You dying would kind of ruin my day, so I’m trying to avoid that.”

The hero buried their face in their hands, squeezing their eyes shut until they saw stars. They were aware that something was wrong with them. Admittedly, they didn't know if they had always been broken, or if this had developed during the last months of saving people.

Somewhere within the hero, they knew this part of them, this unlovable part they were so ashamed of, this sick and weak part that made them crumble and decay, destroyed them from the inside out. Often the hero imagined it was a tumor they could cut out of their flesh, they wouldn't even care if they'd hit bone with the blade. But it was etched into their soul and that could barely be fixed.

A sweet relationship that had turned incredibly bitter, a friend dying in front of them, their noble view of the world changing radically - all of it had tainted the hero in a way words could barely describe.

The hero didn't feel like they could see colors anymore, their taste was dull, they had become lazy. And in their mind, they were the most undesirable, most pathetic, most detestable person in the entire world.

They felt the tears, the usual stinging in their nose and eyes.

"You do know that I don't have to save you, right?" the villain asked.

"Yeah," the hero said, wiping tears away. "I get it. I'm grateful for your kindness. I'll repay you somehow."

"That's not exactly what I meant," the villain said. "I meant that you're perfectly capable of saving yourself."

They bit their bottom lip.

"I get it, some days suck. Some weeks suck. Some months suck. But someone as competent as you cannot be this reckless. Do you think you're unable to overcome what you're dealing with? You out of all people?" The villain tilted their head and let out a long sigh. "If I was cruel, I'd tell you to join me because I can make your life better. But sadly, I don't have all the answers either. And I want you to truly believe in my goals and understand me as a person."

Their eyes fixed on the hero's lips but they looked away quickly.

"Just do me a favor and don't get killed," they said. The hero closed their eyes and took in a deep and shaky breath.

"I will try."

"Good." They felt the villain's fingertips brush their arm, but when they opened their eyes, they were alone.

Hero had the two criminals cornered in the alleyway. Surrounded on three sides by large towering brick walls, there was nowhere to run.

"I got you now, nowhere to escape." Hero gloated with a grin and watched as they cowered further. Usually, criminals and the like weren't intimidated by Hero, and they had to work hard to even be taken seriously.

"Now, if you surrender willingly, no harm will come to you." Hero's grin widened as they spoke in an overly confident tone. Even earlier in this fight, these two criminals had no problem trying to fight Hero, even managing to get some good hits in. Now, here they were, seemingly scared frozen.

Hero found it to be very validated until they noticed that their eyes were looking slightly past Hero. Frown instantly forming and face falling, Hero spoke again.

"There's something terrifying behind me, isn't there?"

The two nodded slowly, still not moving. Hero's frown deepened. They felt a sudden rise of anxiety twisting in their gut.

"How terrifying?" Hero couldn't bring themselves to look, but as soon as they asked, they felt strong hands fall atop their shoulders, pulling them close.

Villain's familiar voice sounded mischievously in their ear, breath fanning across Hero's neck.

"Extremely terrifying."

the other person has always made their blood boil but it takes them a while to realise that the reasons have changed

how can someone be so aggravating and so arousing at the same time?

being mean and provoking upfront just to do nice and thoughtful things behind their back

*both bickering* *Person A suddenly going quiet and grinning at Person B* Person B: "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Person A: "Because you're just arguing so much with me because you like me." *Person B turning red*: "... nOo..."

realising their feelings for the other person but it just makes them meaner because they're overcompensating (after all, no one should know that they're actually in love with person B)

they have been very snippy and full of snide remarks towards person B but since they realised they have feelings for them their mind goes blank and they go mute in front of person B

avoiding the other person as they're enemies but full on ghosting them once they realise their own feelings for their enemy

trying to mask their feelings in the least obvious way: just openly telling them how they're feeling because they wouldn't believe it anyway
