I see myself from the back. From inside the restaurant. I'm alive and happy. That means I took the hard way in. Not the easy way out. For some time I wasn't sure. That time is now. Seeing a picture of myself in the near future, free and letting time be time, not allowing thoughts to interfere or take control, and giving my mind access to whatever words is worth writing, not by any assignment or deadline, and... This is in NO way part of the digital world! Every possible action against any 0'es and 1'es are taken. No combination creating a code can be made. Hvis Himlen...

Hvis himlen var et bygningsværk, ville det sandsynligvis brase sammen. Så ville vi vade rundt i et tyk lag af blå splinter og trevler fra noget vat. Og der ville blive indledt undersøgelser: Hvem kan drages til ansvar? Hvem beordrede den himmel bygget? Fulgte arkitekter og bygherrer de almindeligt kendte beregninger for en hvælvet struktur? Og budgettet bør nok også granskes, der nedsættes udvalg…

Then it happened again. Again-again-again... I don't know how this will make my writing better. Wrong: It does, I just don't know how or why. (Laurie and me and the book we read, and the writer of that book, are becoming more and more clear. Fiction or not.) Anyway, it happened: At this place, I had a dinner that couldn't make it past 100 DKK / 12 €... Including main course of beef (a lot!!) with salad and 'batatas fritas', bread, half bottle of vinho tinto, desert, coffee, and an (old!) brandy that for sure wasn't small... And the couple that has the place, were simply nice. And yes, I know those unbeliable prices partly are a result of the 'crisis'. BUT! It IS also a cultural thing: Here in Portugal you live your life so much more on café's and restaurants. It's as simple as that. You don't stay in your home; you get OUT! The streets are part of your home. And, besides a lot of other stuff, it makes people less isolated. More a part of the local community. And that can only be a good thing! Period! (Why I put this on Instagram, I don't know. The picture isn't even anything special.
