Don't forget about the Palestinians.
Don't forget about them now.
Don't forget about them tomorrow.
Don't forget about them in a week from now.
Don't forget about them in a month.
Don't forget them next year.
Don't forget them in 5 years.
When the history books start to update, don't let them put lies in there.
When documentaries come out, boycott the ones who call this a victory for Israel.
When books release talking about soldier's personal experiences with Palestine, remember the victims. Remember the truth.
Don't forget about what we've seen.
Don't forget about what we've heard.
Don't let them tell lies about Palestine.
Don't forget about the Palestinians when the world tries to make this go away.
Being a trans man in trans spaces is so fun!
People will constantly say “trans women” when they mean “trans people” but if you say anything you’re speaking over trans women, which is transmisogyny, so honestly you should just shut up.
If you make you make original posts about how you like being a man, you’re perpetuating toxic masculinity and everyone knows men suck anyway so you should just shut up.
If you post about transphobia then you’re taking attention away from trans women, who are clearly facing more and worse transphobia, so you should just shut up.
If you post about misogyny you’re just making stuff up bc men don’t experience misogyny so you should just shut up.
If you post about anti-masculinity you’re just a MRA bc everyone knows men never face gender-based discrimination so you should just shut up.
And if you post about how it seems like everyone just wants you to shut up, you’re being hysterical and making a big deal about nothing and should just shut up.
Finding a colorblind friendly redesign of the rainbow flag has me happy to see a pride flag for once
Lmao.
straight people are so fascinating even when they aren't actively trying to be homophobic. I had a class a few years ago where one assignment was to summarize some eighth century arabic poetry about going out for drinks with the lads before indulging in some gay sex and like half the class came in and said "I'm sorry idk what was happening in this one, they mention having sex with a servant but they also say the servant's a man? where'd the woman come from? I'm so confused." and a few days ago in a shakespeare class I made a comment about how cleopatra and octavius caesar are kind of parallel characters in possessively bartering for mark antony's attention and one of my classmates responded as though I'd been talking about octavia and not caesar, despite the fact that I said "caesar" and "him" multiple times while describing the actions he specifically took. fully incapable of comprehending of anything that's even a little bit gay.
Reblog if you think self diagnosing is valid
people making fun of trans masc and men’s names always falls so flat, because they tend to be some of the most beautiful and classic male names that exist? liam, will, jack, finn, izzy, viktor, lucas, theo etc . and you know if we were instead en masse choosing names like apollo, achilles, hades, dionysus they’d find a reason to make us feel pathetic for it too. one can make anything look stupid if you try hard enough, and people try really hard when it comes to trans men and mascs and what we choose to do with our own autonomy.
“why do trans men reference their agab so much” i mean being defined out of feminism and left with very little ways to make people understand our experience and oppression as trans men does have something to do with it.
Hey maybe going “haha those trans guys had to make a blue flag so people knew they weren’t girls!! They are so insecure.” as a joke isn’t that funny. Gay trans men have been denied their manhood so of course they’d do everything to try to over preform it. This is a thing talked about all the time in gay trans men spaces - being forced to deny all femininity and over preform masculinity to be somewhat accepted.
You can criticize when this over performance of masculinity and shunning of all forms of femininity becomes toxic and harmful (actually I encourage it. Any slightly feminine trans guy can tell you all about how horrible it is and trans women have talked about how this causes trans men to turn to transmisogyny to try to act like cis men. We need to do more to combat this.) but I don’t really think a flag being blue is doing that. It seems more like just mocking gay trans men trying to cope with how their manhood is denied and their femininity is shamed.
