I just figured out that the whole “Time Blindness” thing probably also impacts my feeling of how long ago something was. And suddenly my tendency to say “it wasn’t that long ago” while it was years ago and “a while ago” when it was just a few months makes sense
I feel that the only famous person worth keeping up with is James Acaster.
From other people you get affairs and court cases and all of these horrible charges, occasionally you hear about their children.
From James you just get an hour long complete cabbage chronicles, and you find out some weird new detail about his life which is weird enough to give you pause but not weird enough to not believe.

Yes, braiding existed in Africa way before, but it got a whole new meaning when Europeans enslaved millions of people. So next time you decide to go for a “Kim K look”, do a little research before you end up disrespecting someone’s culture and just, in all honesty, looking silly.
