But why did he [Satan] rebel against his maker? It was, as he himself informs us, because he saw no sufficient reason, for that extreme inequality of rank and power, which the creator assumed. It was because prescription and precedent form no adequate ground for implicit faith. After his fall, why did he still cherish the spirit of opposition? From a persuasion that he was hardly and injuriously treated. He was not discouraged by the apparent inequality of the contest: because a sense of reason and justice was stronger in his mind, than a sense of brute force; because he had much of the feelings of an Epictetus or a Cato, and little of those of a slave. He bore his torments with fortitude, because he disdained to be subdued by despotic power. He sought revenge, because he could not think with tameness of the unexpostulating authority that assumed to dispose of him.

A quick reminder that you can still be a great Satanist or Luciferian if you don't like/want sex!
Yes, in our religions (consexual) sexual pleasure is celebrated, but Satan and Lucifer also stand for freedom, for understanding yourself and choosing your own path.
You don't want sex? You're sex-repulsed asexual or want to remain celibate for any other reason? Great! It's your own expression of sexual freedom, beautiful and valid.
So beautiful
so i was cleaning my room and in one of my old journals I found a devotional poem that I wrote to Lucifer, and I just thought Iād share it here.
I worship a flawed creature
An angel whose hymns
come in sighs of pleasure
Feathers rusted, ruffled and crimson
His eyes burn with cold blinding light
lost in a tangle of wings and eyes
I reach for the sky and yet
the hand grabbing mine is my own
I was divinity all along
When I choke on thorns, I taste sweet roses
and bitter wine, and then I remember
the one who put me here was me
and that rebel angel was the guiding light
with eyes of white fire.
Thank you for reading!
Iāve been thinking a lot of the notion of the christian scapegoat. I was always taught that Jesus was the scapegoat, shouldering the sins of humanity and suffering for it. But I truly think that Lucifer fulfills the role of scapegoat. Shouldered with all the sins of christianity, regarded as sin-incarnate, driven from heaven, shooed from any warmth and love, into the deserts.Ā Scapegoats arenāt brought back in with a pat on the back for a predetermined reunion, theyāre left and expected to die.Ā
Is it any wonder Luciferās often represented with a goat?
Hi! Do you have any information on Belphegor?
Heās not a demon from the 72 in the Lemegeton, which can make finding the usual info on him a little tough. Belphegor seems to be a corruption of the name Bael-peor, as a reference to the God of the Moabites. within Numbers, we see him as a God that some Israelites became corrupted by and sacrificed to, and all those who did were sentenced to death.Ā
Hebrew references:
āYour eyes have seen what the LORD has done in the case of Baal-peor, for all the men who followed Baal-peor, the LORD your God has destroyed them from among you.ā ā Deuteronomy 4:3āThey joined themselves also to Baal-peor, And ate sacrifices offered to the dead.ā ā Psalm 106:27-29āI found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your forefathers as the earliest fruit on the fig tree in its first season. But they came to Baal-peor and devoted themselves to shame, and they became as detestable as that which they loved.ā ā Hosea 9:10
there seems to be a bunch of divides on just what he was to that culture. but according to some of the info and a background in the etymology, we know Bael/Baāal is Lord or Lord of, and Peor seems to be the name of the mountain. in Moab. Ā there are some references to an entity known as Chemosh as well, but there doesnāt really seem to be a solid connection there.
the information on him as a demon is a little bit hazy and sort of crude, so I canāt honestly say what seems super relevant or not. like, there are people who claim that you better pray while youāre in the bathroom to him, cause your offering is excrement. JewishEncyclopedia covers this as well and basically says that it might just be stigma/ridicule of the worship.Ā

Sapphomanteia (or āSapphomancyā) is a divination system performed by casting dice to identify one of sixty-four possible number combinations, each referencing a fragment of Sapphoās lyrical poetry. This line of poetry can then be interpreted to answer the posed question, or as a guide to think over.
I have carefully selected sixty-four fragments from various translations of Sapphoās work ā Diane Rayor, Anne Carson, Aaron Poochigan, and Mary Barnard. The end of each fragment is marked with its relevant reference number as per E. W. Voigtās numbering system.
To perform Sapphomanteia:
Roll 3 four-sided dice (or roll one dice three times) and use the three digits rolled to reference the corresponding fragment in bold below.
(Online dice rollers here or here).
As with many forms of divination, you could say a prayer to Sappho or another god for guidance in your reading before you start.

Other names:Vephar
The Forty-second spirit is Vepar, or Vephar. He appears like a mermaid. Vepar is an excellent spirit to evoke if you want to explore your emotions or behaviors prior to making a change. Good for cursing toxic emotions as well. He governs the waters, and to guide ships laden with arms, armour, and ammunition, etc. He can cause the seas to be right stormy and to appear full of ships. If you're in the Navy and you're stuck in a storm, call on him for calm seas, or to wreck the ships of your enemies. He is also the one responsible for making seas to be rough and stormy. . He's also good at intimidating enemy captains by making them think you're stronger than you may really be. Vepar is responsible for naval warfare. He's watches over the supply ships that bring the armor and weapons to troops. Also he makes men to die in three days by putrefying wounds or sores, and causing worms to breed in them. ⬩It is important to learn protections before trying to work with any spirits. You can get tricksters and parasites if you don't.
Cleansings- cleaning your space of negative energies. You can burn herbs or incense for this.
Banishings- forcing negative energies out of your space. The lesser banishing ritual is one of the most commonly used.
Warding- wards keep negative energy out of your space. Amulets, sigils and talismans do this.
Set up a your space and do a cleanse and banishing. Have wards up in your home. Meditation is to calm yourself and get your mind ready. The sigil (symbol) is what you draw on paper. The enn is what you chant or say to call forth the spirit.⬩
