Imagine how cunty it’d be if when In-ho and Gi-hun saw each other face to face again it was Gi-hun sitting on the Front Man’s chair (that one chair In-ho always sat on), In-ho thought Gi-hun was still down there in the dormitory with the rest of the Players when he walked into his office, still wearing the Front Man’s mask, and suddenly Gi-hun turned the lights on, still seated on In-ho’s chair and said, “Hello In-ho.”

Imagine this being how In-ho and Jun-ho reunited. Jun-ho sitting on the Front Man’s chair and catching In-ho off guard by saying something like, “Hello, hyung.”

unpopular opinion (or not?) but I think the reason Jun-ho didn’t tell Gi-hun that the Front Man was his brother wasn’t because Jun-ho wanted Gi-hun to trust him and agree to work with him.

Jun-ho purposefully kept his brother’s name and face a secret from Gi-hun because he knew Gi-hun wanted to kill his brother, and he’d be making it easier for Gi-hun to achieve that if he told Gi-hun who the Front Man was and what he looked like. and despite what In-ho did, Jun-ho still loves and cares about him. and that’s the real reason he kept the Front Man’s identity a secret from Gi-hun AND from his fellow police officers.

Jun-ho, while wanting and trying to stop In-ho, doesn’t want In-ho dead. he’s still protecting his brother. in this essay I will —

please I’m so scared. what if in season 3 Jun-ho has to be the one who kills In-ho? or what if it’s the other way around where In-ho has to kill Jun-ho?

because it’s a possibility. Jun-ho crying and not wanting to ever hurt his brother, let alone kill him. In-ho telling him it’s okay and that he’s sorry as he guides the gun in Jun-ho’s hand to his own heart. Jun-ho having no choice but to pull the trigger.

or the other scenario where it’s In-ho who has to kill Jun-ho and Jun-ho’s death, by In-ho’s own hands, is what breaks In-ho. and after that In-ho gives up and surrenders and just allows himself to be killed, whether it’s by Gi-hun or someone else. because he’s his own brother’s murderer. he killed his own baby brother and he knows he can’t live with the shame and the guilt.
