βL.M. Dorsey, She Is Made of Chalk
climbing into a giantβs lap and laying down on their thigh and letting out the biggest most saddest pathetic sighs in the world until i get attention
Little things that help moods:
- getting enough sunshine - opening the curtains - eating regular meals - short walks with your favourite music - donβt stay up until 3am - donβt try to relate to tumblr text posts - get off tumblr/social media if itβs unhealthy - shower - donβt stay in bed the whole day - plan out your day - listen to music - change your clothes - set yourself small goals - say yes to fun events - drink water, it takes 5 seconds - talk to a close friend - remind yourself: a bad mood can lie to you - youβre not unwanted or hopeless - you deserve love so be nice to yourself
and I donβt want the world to see me βcause I donβt think that theyβd understand when everythingβs made to be broken I just want you to know who I am
Letter to a Lost Friend, Barbara Hamby
There must be another life, she thought, sinking back into her chair, exasperated. Not in dreams; but here and now, in this room, with living people. She felt as if she were standing on the edge of a precipice with her hair blown back; she was about to grasp something that just evaded her. There must be another life, here and now, she repeated. This is too short, too broken. We know nothing, even about ourselves.
Virginia Woolf, the years
my heart is a ripe fruit rotting in my chest
Sufjan Stevens | Futile Devices
Itβs been a long, long time since Iβve memorized your face Itβs been four hours now since Iβve wandered through your place And when I sleep on your couch I feel very safe And when you bring the blankets I cover up my face I do love you And when you play guitar I listen to the strings buzz The metal vibrates underneath your fingers And when you crochet I feel mesmerized and proud And I would say I love you, but saying it out loud Itβs hard so I wonβt say it at all, and I wonβt stay very long But you are the life I needed all along I think of you as my brother, although that sounds dumb And words are futile devices
