⚠️BRIEF BUT NOT INDEAPTH DISCUSSION OF R WORD⚠️
Okay I just need to put this here because I cannot stop thinking about it(which is what tumblr is for so yeah).
There’s this one Captain Marvel fanfic I read that’s unfinished. I can’t for the life of me remember where I read it or the name, but it was def memorable.
Basically Cap is accused of r wording a younger female hero(who I think ACTUALLY did it to him as Billy but never said anything) so the League gets worried that he’s been touching the YJ team and throws him out. Cap hides, not transforming and staying as Billy as a manhunt for cap begins.
Constantine is the only person who knows who he is and begs him to reveal his identity, but Billy won’t do it. He’s not mad at the JL for what they did, to John’s annoyance, but he’s still traumatized(I think there’s a scene where Aquaman beats tf out of him, like I said it’s been some time).
I’m just sitting here, thinking about Cap going into hiding and Billy just growing up watching everyone who doesn’t know absolutely hate his hero persona. There are wanted posters around the world. Heroes regularly try to find him. The few times he’s mentioned by one on the news it’s with total disdain.
His sister and Freddy are completely outraged by this but Billy can’t help but be understanding. It’s not like he HAS to be understanding for him to be a morally good character. He just keeps thinking in favor of the JL. He tells them that, realistically, no one’s going to NOT believe someone when they make such claims, especially if the apparent perpetrator looks like he could throw a tank. ESPECIALLY x2 if the person who made the claim is a teenage girl.
How would Billy live his life, only being able to help from the shadows? How would magic users cope with KNOWING, but being unable to say anything because it’s the ONE time their champion has ever given them an order? How would it feel like for the JL and YJ? Believing that they did the right thing, but still feeling a gaping hole in their ranks?
They’d chant that it was right, it was right, it was right. But why does it feel so wrong?
Would the JL ever find out? Or would Billy have to gain the courage to tell them? Or would someone else entirely spill the beans, whether to use it for their own gain, or just be so completely tired of their self-sacrificial champion?
How would the JL react? How guilty would aquaman feel? How horrified would they feel when Billy starts defending them instead of asking them to step a few paces back? How would they feel if he began ostracizing himself if he went back to work with them? Not being able to look anyone in the eye?
Now you can see why I can’t stop thinking about it😅
“Hello Timmy, what a pleasure for you to join us”
Redraw of a Court of Owls Bernard piece. Because if we are going enemies to lovers with Tim and him I want it to be done right 😤
I wonder how many wives joined Bingges harem because they were secretly lesbians and living in a mansion filled with beautiful women is literally heaven.
Our husband is out fucking some other wife? Dw girl I'll go get the strap.
Listen I've always said that pidw must have had several threesome scenes to appeal to gooners, and of course Shang Qinghua went "dudes love girl on girl action, I'll write these women making out for fanservice before they have sex with Binghe"
But then Bingmei ends up being gay and monogamous and suddenly there are all these women single who have an instinctive desire to kiss and fuck each other and no husband to act as their comp het middle man
Shen Yuan: how are the Palace Mistress and Sha Hualing dating!?
Shang Qinghua: I mean they did straight up have sex in pidw
Shen Yuan: yeah, for Binghe's attention! It was straight sex with another woman!
Shang Qinghua: I think I'm starting to understand how your mind works
"What are you, a cop?" and "Now you see me now you don't" both sound interesting
For "What are you, a cop?"
Billy is deaged (actually deaged. He goes from 15 to 10 or something and doesnt remeber the league) during a mission. He suddenly woke up in the middle of a battle so he's freaked out. the Justice League take down the threat then try to calm the boy down, explaining that theyre heros and here to help.
Billy takes a moment to take that in... then bolts.
It takes a bit to catch the kid, he's surprisingly agile for his concerningly small size, but they manage to get him into the jet and hes pouting in the corner looking angrier than the league has ever seen him.
They try to ask questions. Are you okay? Are you hurt? Why are you so thin? Is there anyone we should call? But Billy stays silent and his glares stay intense until he finally speaks.
"I don't talk to pigs." he spits out, giving them the nastiest look as if his glare alone could poison and kill them.
They stare at him for a moment, processing that.
"We're not cops???" Clark says, unconvincingly. Hes never been more confused in his life and has definitely never been confused for a cop.
"Whats wrong with being a cop?" Barry, the forensic scientist, pouts.
They knew that Marvel had a bit of a weird relationship with cops but they didn't realize he hated them, and especially not with such a passion!
The league spends the whole jet ride back to the tower trying to convince Billy that not only are they not cops, but that cops shouldn't be something to be afraid of anyway.
Billy spends the whole trip explaining ACAB to them and that yes, they are in fact cops, and here's all the things that the police system has done wrong that the league have probably also done or been complicit in..
I just want to write Billy radicalizing the Justice League and the league helping to reform the police system.

For "Now you see me, now you dont"
In the original comics Billy can and will transform in front of anyone at anytime and they wont realize that it was a transformation. Why?because plot armor. They will just think that the boy ran away right as Captain Marvel appeared or something, and when Billy reappears they don't question it either.
In the fic, its a magic perk that came with the whole Champion of Magic package and its a perk he uses often and irresponsibly. He takes it to the extremes by transforming in front of large crowds (no one questions it), while being recorded (The camera shorts out and stops working completely), and even in front of villains (they curse when the captains escapes yet again, completely ignoring the little boy standing in the middle of their secret base)
The last one is how he figured out that even if he is very much Not supposed to be somewhere, he wont be questioned as long as the only people who see him there also saw Marvel transform in that area. If someone who didn't witness the transformation were to see him, they would realize he wasn't meant to be there and call him out which would cause the witnesses to notice it as well. Leaving the room and then returning would also snap them out of it and he would be questioned.
Its a pretty overpowered ability for a child to have access to and when your a street kid without any video games to play who gets chased out of public parks for being too 'dirty' and can't afford any toys, you have to get creative with your entertainment.
Billy wants to see just how far he can take this power, and decides to transform in front of as many people in one day as possible while on the most highly secure facility in earths orbit- the Watchtower.
Follow Billy as he stretches his powers to their limits by transforming in front of the Justice League while praying he doesn't get caught and see what pranks he's able to pull off in that time!
I really like both of these ideas and I definitely want to write them someday. I already have lots of ideas for ways Billy can abuse that particular power! For now I am focusing on a few other fics but these ones are somewhere in the queue.
i think my favorite thing about tim and bernard is just how in love tim is with bear. usually in civilian x hero relationships the civilian is always way more in love with the hero than vice versa. but with tim and bernard, tim is sooo fuckin gone for bear, it almost stops being cute and borders on lame. pathetic even.
(Shot opens in Magicians Meeting Hall)
Captain Marvel: *strolls inside toward his seat and unpacks from his little satchel. Stops and greets other magic-users before pulling out notebooks and pencils*
(Cut to Billy on the couch)
Billy: So, over the weekend, I might’ve made a slightly impulsive decision
(Cut back to CM unpacking a mug that reads *#1 DAD!*)
Billy: I mean, I don’t regret it. I just wish I didn’t have to keep my identity a secret, ya know?
(Cuts to Cap smiling at the mug)
(Cuts back to Billy on the couch)
Billy: *holding a photo of Conner/Kon-El(Superboy)This is my son. Isn’t he great? He can already leap tall buildings in a single bound!
(Cuts back to Meeting Hall. Camera pans to New God Metron, swiping away at unreadable documents)
(Cuts to Metron on the couch)
Metron: It’s real. It’s all real. I don’t even…I don’t understand what is going on inside that head of his
(Cut to Satanus in the Meeting Hall, doing his damn best to not laugh)
(Cut to Satanus on the couch)
Satanus: He’s—Pfft—He’s grown up so much! I actually—Shit, I can’t wait to tell Blaze about this.
(Cuts to Blaze on the couch)
Lady Blaze: 😦
Lady Blaze: You’re kidding
(Everyone watches Marvel sip water from the mug. He stares back)
Captain Marvel: What?
Fate: Nothing. Nothing at all
Captain Marvel: You sure?
(Camera pans to Metron, still swiping)
Captain Marvel: He doesn’t look so good.
(Cuts to Billy on the couch)
Billy: he actually reminds me of my uncle after he has too much beer, but I don’t want to seem rude. I’m a dad now.
(Cuts to Satanus on the couch)
Satanus: He actually said that? No, he actually said that?
(Cuts to Billy on the couch)
Billy: I’m gonna be. The best. Dad. Ever. No other dad will dad like I dad.
(Cuts to Satanus on the couch)
Satanus: *laughing too much to be human* Please—Please don’t—Make it stop! I can’t!
Hiccstrid is crazy because it's Hiccup "would kill for her" Haddock and Astrid "would die for him" Hofferson, not the other way round.
Yeah in any other case it's Hiccup 'would die for a cause/person' and Astrid 'would kill for cause/person' but when it comes to each other? Hiccup has canonically been ready to kill for Astrid, as in blast-a-man-to-bits with Toothless and let a nearly extinct dragon be slaughtered. And whenever Hiccup is in danger and Astrid is there she's the one who pushes him out of the way, endangering herself. Like with the Death Song, the Light Fury, girl was ready to sacrifice herself for the young chief.
I just think it's cool how much these two love each other they're willing to go farther than they ever would in any other occasion.
Jazz, for some reason or the other, becomes a wielder of a red lantern ring. After going on her rampage and getting her revenge, she realizes that the feeling of rage won't go away. Instead of letting the anger destroy her, she decided to do something else with it.
That's how we end up with a stand-off between Hal Jordan and the most powerful Red Lantern he's ever seen. Because...
"What... what did you just say?"
The young woman smiled gently at him. He would've been fooled by it if not for the burning rage carefully hidden... No, she wasn't hiding anything behind those turquoise eyes. It was taking everything she had to hold it back.
"I said that I would like to join The Justice League." Her voice was soft and velvety. Comforting in a way that sends chills up his spine.
"But you're a Red Lantern."
There was a beat of silence, she cocked her head to the side while looking at the blood-red ring on her finger.
"I don't know what that means, but I'm guessing it's got something to do with this ring?"
Hal didn't respond but she took it as confirmation. There was silence between them once more before Jasmine sighed and continued.
"I feel angry, more than angry. This rage that I've been holding inside for so long has reached its limits and is finally bubbling over. Everything that I loved is gone so killed what took it away from me. But... but I'm still SO FUCKING ANGRY!"
She was screaming now. Tears of rage and sadness rolled down her cheeks as violent red energy radiated from her being. Hal flew back. He didn't want to fight her but was ready to do so if it came to it.
Just as easily as she lost it she pulled herself together, wiping her tears away, returning to her previously calm demeanor. It freaked Hal out.
"I... I know that blind rage without direction leads to meaningless destruction. I don't want to hurt anybody. No... I don't want to hurt the wrong people. I'm asking you to guide me, to guide my rage in the right direction... Please."
Wes and Danny aren't enemies. They are two individuals with a highly complex and tremendously confusing relationship composed of mutual deep respect, begrudging fondness, an unspoken understanding that they can never be overtly friendly to each other but would in fact commit murder unprompted on the other's behalf, and petty antagonization.
Danny helps Wes hone his detective skills to a level never before seen on planet Earth. Wes cannot merely connect the dots, because as soon as he does, Danny pulls some temporal-bs/clone-shit to unconnect those dots and Wes has to start over from scratch. No, Wes must find the most hidden dots, the obscurest of connections, the most shrouded evidence that even Sherlock Holmes himself wouldn't be able to deduce, because anything less gets Clockworked out of existence. And then those obscurest of connections get Clockworked out of existence anyway, and Wes progresses to the next level of detective-ing.
Wes helps Danny stay safe from the government and any potential hostile forces in the world of the living -- including Danny's parents. Because if Danny is destroying proof of his halfa status that needs Wes fucking Weston to get uncovered, there isn't a human being or shady government agency in the history of humankind that could deduce Danny Fenton is Phantom.
Outside of their little game of deduction and destruction, Wes has straight up made some of the GIW disappear. And Danny... well. Lets just say that Wes came to school a grand total of once with his makeup smudged -- allowing a trained eye to just barely make out the presence of a bruised face underneath -- and Wes's P.O.S. step-dad was never seen in town again.
In the cafeteria, they absolutely will try to trip each other, and some of the insults they throw back and forth behind the teacher's back are enough to make Dash want to step in and deescalate the situation.
