hands up if you like free stuff! it's been three whole years since i've had a giveaway, so i thought i'd have a shot at doing one on this here blog. to be in with a chance of winning the little package of goods above (a giclée print, lino print & badge), just leave a comment on this post saying hello plus a way for me to get in touch (twitter/email etc) if you win. i know tumblr as a rule is pretty into its re-blogging & likes, but i miss the good ol' days when blogs were for commenting on (y'know, like in 2010) . i'll pick a winner at random on sun 6 october. good luck! EDIT: giveaway closed! thanks for all the entries. will be in touch with the winner soon.
here's tonight's update: cat tote bags! this was my first time printing onto fabric - i bought these bags over a year ago, so i certainly put it off for long enough. things went smoothly though, & i'm happy to finally have a small number of these to add to the shop. each bag come with a cat face badge too - see some more images over on etsy.
a little something i put together for the nice folks over at creative dundee for their next pecha kucha night. i'd been wanting to try something like this visually for a little while, & overlapping plants with pencils growing from the ground ended up being the perfect chance to experiment. after working on a giant mural for the couple of days prior to making this, it was super nice to sit down at my desk, draw tiny plants & take advantage of the "undo" button in photoshop whenever anything didn't quite work out.
i've been keeping an eye out for some plants small enough to put in the tiny pots i make, but until now, no joy. however, my boyfriend & i went for a walk in the sun today & came across a 'CACTUS SALE' at the botanic gardens - & voila! £2 later, a tiny cactus & a tiny succulent, the perfect size.
finally working on some new things - feels so good! as well as stocking the shop for the festive season, i have a magnificent deadline for making things thanks to a craft fair on 4 december. i've written a to-do list for pretty much every day over the next few weeks.
above you'll find a cat i drew yesterday - possibly the best cat i have ever drawn.
rather pleased with my new bags! black cats on a blue cotton tote; snap one up here.
a week off of sorts. we're journeying to the end of a peninsula on the very west coast tomorrow, to celebrate my favourite person's birthday with campfires, marshmallows, walks & trees. as much as i like normality, i'm excited to get away from it for a bit.
