tbh in fics where draco is harry’s First Homosexual Experience and when harry went in to kiss him and he’s all like wow i didn’t know male lips are like this they’re stronger rougher and “chapped” BUT here is the thing. you really think Draco Posh-Snot Malfoy who spends 25/7 tending to his beautiful hair and who probably has hundreds of mosturizing potions for his face wouldn’t also have tens of lip balms in various flavours for his very important lips ???

i think in reality it goes like this. harry would be like “wow these are the softest and sweetest lips i’ve ever tasted omg i love you malfoy” and draco would be like “yes, potter, it’s cherry flavour, you like that?”

Harry gets the magical flu and he’s laid up in bed for a week. The only reason he doesn’t fall behind in classes is because he gets notes from a classmate, but he doesn’t know who it is.

Magical flu – who would have thought that’d be a thing? Unfortunately for Harry, it was.

He’d been laid up in bed for three days now, swaddled in blankets and sleeping through the day.

The first few days he had spent in the hospital wing, but once his fever broke the matron agreed to let him rest in the Gryffindor dorms.

The first letter came that evening. Harry watched as it fluttered through the open window of the dorm room, fluttering wings keeping it afloat as it gracefully circled the room, the paper crackling with the movement.

Harry cupped his hands and held out his arms, watching – mesmerised – as the enchanted paper bird landed in his hand and fell still.

He carefully unfolded the paper, feeling a strange warmth settle in his chest as he looked down at the elegant scrawls of lettering across the page.

There were pages upon pages of notes, each titled by which class they were for. There were notes for the past three days of lessons—about what they had learnt in class as well as observations the writer had made and doodles and illustrations along the edges of the paper.

Among the notes for Herbology, there were illustrations of the plants as well as notes on the side about how to tend to them, what potions and medicines they were used in, and their own magical properties.

There were more notes on Transfiguration, Charms, History of Magic, and Defence Against the Dark Arts. The notes for Astronomy were covered in illustrations of stars and constellations that sat alongside the lesson notes: Canis Major with a brilliantly vibrant star—Sirius; Cygnus, Lyra, and at the bottom of the page Draco.  

For Potions, there were detailed notes on what the potion was used for and step-by-step instructions. In the columns were small illustrations of the ingredients – herbs, beetles, flowers; all beautifully drawn – and an animated drawing of a potion blowing up in Seamus’ face—a common enough occurrence that seeing the animated sketch play through made Harry smile.

Harry read the notes avidly, finding himself smiling more and more as he read through the pages. But what caught him off guard was the final page; it was empty except for one sentence, the beautifully elegant handwriting making the words seem all the more meaningful.

Hope is the most powerful weapon.

People ask me why I am nice or why I ain’t real or you’re Taylor and stuff. After nearly two years of searching, I reflected in the mistakes I have made which nearly cost everything in my life, being able to live with a mental illness that nearly claimed my life, I started to realise that I’m still here and still have hope I’ll get better on the other side, this mental illness should not stop me from doing my best in my life, after the loss of two friends due to suicide, I gave time away from everything, and how affected me personally. I made it my personal mission to make everyone feel that they are worth something, feel good about themselves. My achievement is to save lives who are facing the same battle as me, I won’t ever give in to this disease and it will never kill me, I hope I live long to meet Tay (lol no) but in all seriousness this is a very, deep and personal mission I have to start giving back to those who have saved my life, now this is my turn to save yours, thank you for made me realise that I have so much to live for and giving me the strength and courage to fight what’s in front of me and I couldn’t have done it without all of your support, I am blessed to have you as my second adopted family.

Even though @taylorswift is not on tumblr right now, I feel like she is proud of me for making everyone’s lives more meaningful, that I could be a beacon of hope to those who are struggling to love themselves, those who are lonely, and with mental illness. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing all of you grown up and making each other lives so much brighter and happier, it gives me warm fuzzy feelings inside. Taylor does not owe me likes, replies or reblogs or ANYTHING. I try help as best as I can to help and support all of you who are facing the toughest period of their life right now, and always remember that I love you for the rest of my life and know that you are a huge part of my life and cannot thank you enough for all of your support. It means absolutely a lot to me knowing all of you are looking out for each other. God bless.
