Twas my payday! I ate some good food, talked to my boyfriend a good amount, called my dad a couple times to talk, went to the store twice, and had a lot of naps.

🩷 What I Accomplished:

studied 2-3 Korean Hangul chapters on Busuu

studied a couple Spanish lessons on busuu

reached out and messaged with my future italki korean teacher about our upcoming trial lesson

bought toilet paper + stuff for my injured toe (toe is not broken but was severely jammed, all is well today!)

ate ramen at a Thai place a d had the most delicious Thai tea with boba

tried ice cream from an Italian corner restaurant next to the Thai place

continued contact with health coach assistant and am trying to figure out if I go through with it or not

looked up new job opportunities for when I'm back home (not exactly a fan of the company/job I work for now)

reached out to my 2nd future roommate and got to know her and her dog a bit, also discussed me getting an ESA in the near future and how to go about that so I don't stress her dog out or cause issues

took a long, 2 hour nap (I think the ramen gave me a slight allergic reaction because it had mushroom chunks in it, which I did take out, but still had cross contamination with the broth. I'm allergic to mushrooms, so I took a big nap after I ate. I think the 2 are correlated)

Today is going to be a very relaxing, restorative day, as I have work tomorrow and had a really rough night last night. Nothing too difficult or too set in stone for me. Just a todo list of things I WANT to do today that'll benefit me the best.

This summer so far, I've been indulging in hobbies, which is what I plan on spending all day today doing!

begin reading a new book (I just finished The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo and omg it was so so good)

list a few more clothing items on depop

wash dishes

job search, just a little bit

budget the money I'm getting later this week

journal about life a little bit

take a nap

Those are the only things I want to make sure I get done today, I don't care what order or how long they take. Today is all about relaxing and having a good, easy, restful day.

So I am trying to decide if I should start incorporating fitness classes into my routine and I'm having some trouble making a couple of decisions! So I thought I'd turn to my beautiful community and get some help!

My options are:

start yoga at home and pilates at a studio

start pilates at home and join a yoga studio

do only pilates at a studio

do only yoga at a studio

join both a yoga studio and pilates studio

there's not a lot of places that offer both pilates and yoga in my town but I really want to diversify some of my workouts so I don't get bored and can meet all of my fitness goals too!

Let me know what you guys suggest and if you can, leave some comments with your experience with pilates or yoga studios! Please keep in mind I am a plus sized girly, so I'm a little anxious about group fitness but I think it'd be super beneficial!

Thursday was a meh kinda day. It was a long day, honestly. I ended the day, so so tired. But it wasn't a bad day.

40 min pilates full body workout per health coaching plan

worked an 8.5 hour evening shift

washed laundry

morning skincare

ate decently compared to usual

discovered I can take creatine with myo inositol, which I will do once I'm back home

didn't study languages like I wanted, but I was tired

didn't get to video call my boyfriend

got paid, but am basically broke because I have necessary payments to make with this money

didn't complete the workout fully due to not eating beforehand, gotta make sure I eat before my workouts

Hi, I had a maybe silly question, I’m a guy, but I find the that girl/clean girl aesthetic very appealing, as I struggle with executive functioning and self care as I have ADHD and autism. Unfortunately, most subcultures geared towards men that focus on similar things to these goals also have a misogynistic edge to them. I was wondering if you knew if there was similar subculture or hashtag that I would be welcome in? Is there a clean boy/that boy or gender neutral aesthetic? I’m a bit worried about intruding on a woman-centered space since so many other spaces cater to men.

I personally don’t know of any hashtag or subculture that caters to the β€œthat boy/clean boy” aesthetic, but I am hoping anyone who’s sees this can maybe reblog or comment and help us find something like that for you! i will say, there is no harm in identifying with or borrowing from the that girl/clean girl aesthetic if you find ways to incorporate it into your life! I believe the values of these aesthetics are useful for anyone regardless of gender! i do understand wanting to find that community that you can mesh with that has the same aesthetic and values, tho.

if anyone knows of a hashtag or somewhere he can find his space in the that boy, clean boy aesthetic, please comment! If you don’t know of anything, please reblog so we can find that community for him!

Guess who ended up sick on her first day of classes? Me!!

I remember thinking last week how it would not be fun to get sick when school starts, and on my first day of classes, I wake up with a super sore throat, a mild headache, slight dizziness, fatigue, and just overall feeling like trash. It's either a cold or my yearly bout of tonsillitis. I get tonsillitis every year at least once, and it's been that way for 8 years so far.

I did make it through the day, tho! Went to my first two classes of the semester, and I am pretty optimistic! Luckily, I don't have classes tomorrow, but I do have some appointments, so I'm going to wear my mask all day, as I do not want to risk getting anyone else sick. I'm still going to my nail appointment. I feel like it's the least I deserve right now.

(The picture of nails I included is what I changed my mind to for tomorrow, I feel like almond nails will be a cute change from my usual coffin style and might be easier to work with at my job)

I also found out I'll get to see my boyfriend in the next month and a half (we've been long distance 1000+ miles since early July), and I am so excited about that. Hopefully, it'll be a 4-5 day stay, so I can spend some quality time with him.

I want to sleep and recover as much as possible but I also have a decent amount of homework/quizzes/notes/textbook reading to accomplish by Sunday, and since I work Friday thru Sunday, I know I'm going to have to buckle down and be productive as much as I can. Hot tea with honey, chicken noodle soup, and vitamin C are going to be my best friends these next few days while I recover!

This is really not how I wanted to start my semester, but things will get better, I will still succeed, and I will still stay on top of assignments, attendance, and my work ethic overall. One bump in the road doesn't mean I should come to a complete stop! I have high hopes and high expectations and I truly believe in myself.

Also, I managed to complete a 10 min abs pilates workout (despite knowing I didn't feel too great, silly me) and still did skincare, makeup, and working in my planner this morning. I've also completed several assignments and started notes for one of my online classes, so today was not a complete bummer.

Let's hope that I can return to proper health sooner rather than later, and that it doesn't affect my sleep too much!

I'm going for a coquette, feminine esque nail set but idk if I want light feminine, dark feminine, super girly. I just need to pick a color first! small break from my normal challenge posts to ask a question and get some feedback!

I’m going to start posting some language learning stuff and hopefully some study type content as well now that finals are coming up and during the following break I want to dive back into my language studies to keep my brain full of knowledge.

Can anyone recommend some resources and advice/tips?

I’m looking for (Mexican) Spanish learning resources, Japanese learning resources, and advice and tips on motivation to keep going with the language learning, some productivity and discipline tips, and just any advice and motivation you guys have in general? Even if it’s not language related and just school and study related, I would be so happy to hear from all of you guys!

I look forward to posting some more normal everyday content along side the study school and language stuff along with my challenge updates! I feel like I haven’t been keeping up with the normal content I want to post so I’m really looking forward to doing more of that now!

Hello lovelies!

I am back with my daily check-ins, so i thought I'd start with April 2nd (even tho I know today is currently April 3rd)! I look forward to regularly posting again!

Tuesday was a rough day for me near the end of the day. I pretty much had an emotional stress-induced breakdown in front of my manager and director, but they were very kind and understanding, and I called my dad, who also was awesome, and helped calm me down. It's sage to say that a packed schedule and lack of sleep definitely don't mix well together!

🩷 What I Accomplished Today:

made some actionable steps for improving my health (sleep, nutrition, and fitness areas)

completed Chapter 9 of Spanish Busuu + made flashcards for it

attended my psyc class

completed the assignment for my Friday restaurant class

completed the take home questions for a quiz for psyc

Sent my academic advisor a filled out roadmap

🩷 Good Things That Happened:

one of my accountability buddies sent me a pdf of a Spanish textbook that I was able to download to my goodnotes, which is exciting!

I tried a restaurant on campus that I had never had before, and it was absolutely so delicious

my coworker is going to cover my shift on Friday evening, so I'll have time to relax/catch up on things

Got good advice from my supervisor about life stuff

πŸ’• What Could've Been Better:

I need to reevaluate who I call my "friends" at work after a couple of interactions I've had with people I had considered my friends

Learned that over crowding my plate when already not sleeping well is not a good life combination and will send me to burnout a lot faster

On that same note, I do feel like I still need to learn to manage my time effectively. It's a hard skill to master but I did it before

my professor for psyc was 15 minutes late to class and then proceeded to continue lecturing 5+ minutes after. I felt bad leaving but I had a study room to go to

So that was my April 2nd! Today, I also have a busy schedule. I have an early morning in person meeting with an advisor for Finance majors (I may be adding a finance 2nd major....stay tuned), and then less then 2 hours later i have a meeting with my advisor for my current major. I know she's not going to be happy about me adding a 2nd major but ehh, if it'll benefit my future, then I want to do it.
