Reasons To Improve Your Lifestyle

At times, I find it extremely difficult to find the right motivation and inspiration to build and sustain healthy habits. I made a list for myself and altered it a bit in the hopes that maybe putting it out there could help you as well. 

There are millions of people who are starving right this second and they would kill to have access to such bountiful amounts of such healthy foods as you.

You have absolutely 0 excuse not to. Laziness is unacceptable. 

Discipline is an incredibly valuable skill and quality that will prove to be even more useful and beneficial in the future 

Don’t you want to look like a movie star/Victoria’s Secret model? 

Eating healthy makes your body smell, look, and.. taste.. better so DO IT

Good hygiene, eating habits, and exercise routines lead to a more attractive body and a longer life 

Exercise to live a longer life to spend with family, friends, spouses, and children  

Exercising and healthy diet makes you a good role model for your siblings and your future children 

It’s super attractive to most anyone when you take care of yourself by feeding yourself healthy food and doing things to keep yourself in shape 

Exercise and healthy eating has proven to lift your mood and promotes overall positivity 

You can use exercise as the alternative to medications and therapy for anxiety. depression, and many other mental illnesses.

Exercise and healthy diet can prevent and slow the effects of nearly any disease as an alternative or addition to prescription drugs and expensive medical treatments 

Exercise makes you stronger and more able bodied to complete daily tasks and defend yourself against predators, AKA it makes you more of a bad ass and more comfortable as a singular human being to protect yourself 

Exercise boosts your daily energy in order to promote creativity, motivation, and ability to be awake and alert longer. 

Exercise promotes memory storage in the brain making it easy for you to retain learned and studied information in school, benefiting your overall studying career 

Exercise promotes healthy habits and paves the way toward being able to do anything you set your mind to 

Exercise is a mindset that promotes individual empowerment and the willingness to love and take care of yourself, inevitably resulting in a longer and happier life

Siblings becoming Guardians

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about whether or not older siblings can gain guardianship of their younger siblings.

The answer is yes they can but they must be able to prove that they can take care of their younger siblings.

To gain guardianship the older sibling would first have to apply for guardianship and be able to prove that they have the resources to take care of their siblings.

A steady income

A steady and stable place to live

Able to give the child(ren) love and affection

The sibling hoping to gain custody must also be mature enough to take care of children.

For some, who have been watching over their younger siblings since they were born, you might be asking “But I’ve been doing that for years! Does that prove I’m mature enough to gain custody?”

No and before you shout Why let me explain. In most cases you watch your younger siblings for just a few hours right? You’re only responsible for them for a few hours at most. If you wish to gain custody of a younger sibling you become responsible 24/7. 

Ask yourself a question or two:

Are you (or your character) ready to become responsible for a life other than your own?

Will gaining custody interrupt your life in a negative way?

If you are only 18 or 19 stop and think for a moment. 

Is it really a good idea for you to take custody of your siblings? 

Do you plan on going to college? 

Are you ready for the responsibility of being responsible for your sibling(s) 24/7?

If your character does file for guardianship the judge will ask the same questions. So think carefully about whether your character should gain custody of their siblings and if it is really in their best interests. 

It saddens me when people think that Captain Jack Sparrow only ever tries to save his own skin. That he would push other people in harms way so he wouldn’t get hurt.

In Dead Men Tell No Tales, when the possessed Henry attacks Jack and Carina, the first thing Jack instinctively does isn’t to jump away, duck or use Carina as a shield. No. He literally PUSHES Carina OUT OF harms way and doesn’t even move himself, taking the full blow. He doesn’t want his rival’s/friend’s daughter to be hurt. Damn. If you honestly think Jack Sparrow is not a good man, then you might want to rethink.

“I can’t believe it,” Vex said, glaring at Brynjolf across the tavern. 

He grinned at her and leaned back in his chair as he filled his mug with mead. “I knew she’d come through,” he said. “Never doubted her.”

“Not that,” Vex sighed. “I mean, yeah, pretty impressive - but what I can’t believe is that you had a plan all along to get those payments, and you kept it up your sleeves so you could use it as a damn test!”

“Aye, but it worked, didn’t it, lass?” he pointed out, and paused to drink deeply from his cup. “And we’ve got all the payments.”

“Yeah, yeah, your new girl’s real impressive,” Delvin agreed, sitting down next to him. 

“Hush, Delvin,” he replied lightly, and laughed. “Look, both of you, I’m telling you - she’s the one. She’ll turn our luck around and we’ll finally start to see things looking up around here. I’m certain of it.”

“Well, you’re looking up, at least,” Vex said, and he thought he saw a hint of a smile on her face before she turned away.

“Give it a few days,” he told her. “You’ll see. Things are about to change.”
