phil has had an elytra/his wings back for the past 2 days and hasn't said a WORD about them and it's making me kinda insane

there are two explanations for this

either he doesn't think they are real, and it's his mind playing tricks on him again

OR

he's scared to mention it at all, for fear of them being clipped and taken away from him again

For the love of god give Phil his wings back- please I need to see him became the only predator of the skies again- I want him in purgatory stopping whatever Phil cubitos doing about honor and to fall back into his anarchist ways and I want him to fuck things up because he's the Angel Of Death and who dares mess with his team?

the fact that blue only attacks phil if its a 2v1 really says a lot about their perspective of him o__o

Phil's wings healed in purgatory and he hasn't been using them because he doesn't want them taken away again (the admins would take them away if he really used them 💀)

but the second he felt the feeling of flight again for the first time in months, he couldn't help himself and he spread his wings and flew

he even started showing off, but once he felt that paranoia of them getting taken from him he stopped

and he KNOWS when they get to quesadilla island they are going to clip them again, so he's basking in the time he has with them now

Good thing Team Bolas doesn't have any separation anxiety or anything

thinking about how philza's character in every universe (or server lol) never really gets their happy ending .

hc!philza is destined to roam his world forever alone , with only remnants of history left to accompany him . so what if he continues to find structures and hints of what once was ? he's missed the opportunity to experience all the mythical stories he can only glean from pieces of rubble . he's alone , and he always will be .

dsmp!philza was forced to kill his son as soon as he finally found him after radio silence . and even when he returns as a phantom , he never really manages to bridge that deep chasm in their relationship . the one true friend that he could always rely on , whether as they ruled the entire world together or simply spent their days secluded in the snowy mountains , couldn't make it to the end . two immortal gods , finding solace in each other's loneliness only for one to be left alone again at the very end .

osmp!philza was left with nothing but empty promises as his friends left the safe haven he built with them one by one . he reunites with them a few times in the future , sure , but he can never really reminisce about their times together without leaving a bad taste in his mouth . even at the very end , he can't find the one friend who spared him those lonely times , always just a universe behind his little fella .

30days!philza died with his back turned to the one he trusted the most . despite all his years of experience teaching him to never let his guard down , he does . because he trusts wilbur . and so the last thing he sees as he's pushed off the ledge is the wide-eyed mortification in wilbur's eyes . and it's bittersweet , to know that he would exchange his own life if it meant that his could be returned . but the damage is done , and the ending is bittersweet .

and now , q!philza .

burdened with the task of caring for an egg with a partner he barely knew , he did the one thing he never thought he would do : play it safe . with the threat of the federation , the monstrous creatures that roam the island and the code that seemed hellbent on killing them , he played as an innocent bystander in every major event . because when you've lived a life as long as philza's , you know the worst that the world has to offer , and he so desperately wants to shield his child's innocence . despite the knowledge that chayanne may never remember their time together when he hatches , that the fabled dragon may simply devour him once it finds chayanne in his possession , he protects chayanne .

how could he not , when chayanne is the one he can finally protect for once ?

then he's ripped right out of his clutches once again , along with tallulah whom he's grown unavoidably fond of ( because it's wilbur's daughter , what other outcome could he truly expect ? ) , powerless to do anything . in his desperation to be reunited with his children once more , he ignores every single alarm bell that rings as he makes his way to the birdhouse .

even as he's freed , he's haunted by birds that seem to follow him wherever he goes , as though someone is always watching and reminding him of the consequences of rebelling .

purgatory ?

the name explains itself quite aptly , i believe .

so i guess the whole point of this post is just to appreciate that no matter the tragedy that constantly surrounds philza's characters in every universe he's in , he still keeps going forward .

Yesterday was frustrating to watch, no fault of anyone, just because my streamer wasn't having fun for a while.

What I do want to say is huge fucking thanks Philza and Roier, they both did everything in their power to help Baghera and Etoiles when it felt like everything was against them. Roier has been Etoiles' emotional support since day 1 and he always manages to at least make him laugh when shit gets annoying in purgatory, and Philza kept a clear head the whole time.

Now from a roleplay standpoint, it was also really nice. Roier, who can see his friend struggling to find any reason to keep going, who knows how Etoiles works and thinks, and who does everything he can to be useful and help. Even more, Roier then wiped the slate clean and made it so that the one thing he and his friend like doing (pvp) is now more fun and less frustrating to lose.

Philza, who kept his cool the while time. Any time anyone said it was useless or hopeless, he was quick to shut it down. I liked this especially with Etoiles because we all know he's married to the darkness but with Phil there patiently saying "no, we're going to get your stuff. Calm down, it's okay" I think it's kind of hard to not believe him. I think this is amplified because of Etoiles respect for Philza.

Philza Minecraft is a survivalist. 

Everyone knows this. He's the "Hardcore guy." He's an expert in the inner-workings of the natural world. He's vigilant. He knows how to hold his own in a fight, and he knows when to cut his losses, too. He knows how to keep himself alive. By extension, he knows how to keep his team alive as well. It only makes sense that they elect him as the leader of red team.

Philza Minecraft is a team player.

This is why he's always happy to go grinding for materials when the team needs it. Even if he tends to get a little distracted sometimes, wandering too far, forgetting to check global chat or talk in the team vc, he checks in with his friends and does what he can to keep morale up when everyone is feeling down. He recognizes the ease with which Cellbit operates in this environment, so he lets the man call some of the shots, or give Phil instructions. After all, Cellbit led the Ordo for months. Phil trusts his judgement. Why not play to their strengths? 

Philza Minecraft is an adapter. 

His biome doesn’t matter, nor his circumstances, nor his equipment. He’s started over more times than he can count. Working under stress isn’t something that hinders him, nor changing environments. If the game of the day is complete the tasks, he can complete the tasks. If the game of the day is kill a player, he can kill a player. He might hate it, but he can do it. For the sake of his friends, of his team, of his kids, and of their collective survival, he can do it.

There is something else worth mentioning. 

Philza Minecraft is a liar. 

Oh, but you’ll never catch him in a lie, because it’s never what he does say. It’s what he doesn’t. It’s the details he omits. It’s the parts of the tale that he glosses over so that the bedtime story isn’t quite so scary. He’ll give you everything he wants you to have and hold the rest of it close to his chest. Or, more accurately, he'll slam it in a locked box and shove it under his bed with the rest of his monsters. 

He was an asset to the Empire. 

Back then, he always asked the right questions: not "why," but "how," and "when." Back then, he knew he was valuable, so he kept himself alive. Back then, "the Angel of Death" wasn't so much a nickname as it was a title he earned. A rank.

He never became a general. The promotion was there, and he was more than qualified, he just never took it. He was content to let his friend take the helm, because Phil knew what he was.

"Knew." "Was." Was, was, was. (Come on, now, Phil. Don't be daft.)

Philza Minecraft is a liar; the man he lies to the most is himself. Yes, Purgatory is fucked and twisted, and he hates what it forces him to do, but not because it's hard. No. Because it's far too easy.

At the end of the day, what matters most is that Philza Minecraft is an arrow. Let someone else nock him in a bow. Let someone else draw him back, point him in a direction, let him loose, soar, fly. Resources, gear, tasks, points, kills, blood---it makes no difference. Philza Minecraft won't stop until he hits his target.

Jaiden: Me and my wings! [Looks at Phil and Baghera, who both have messed up wings in the drawing] Oh... oh... um, erm, maybe I am showing off a little bit actually... Maybe that's in poor taste... erm...

[She looks at each character in the portrait guiltily, glancing away for a moment]

Jaiden: ...Yeah, maybe I should send Phil like a, like a– a "get well soon" gift. You know? Like– wings grow back! As long as– ok: I dunno how they fcked up his wings, however: comma, if they just clipped them, then they will grow back after his next molt. So, hypothetically, if they only clipped his wings, he just needs to wait for them to grow back and then he'll be ok. So if he just avoids getting them tri– climmed– uh, clipped, trimmed, then he can have his wings back. Eh? Ehhh?

Let me ramble about Codebreakers and their approach to violence.

Cubito Philza very much doesn't want to commit violence but also enjoys it so, so much.

Cubito Etoiles craves violence so desperately, but also doesn't want to do it.

Philza's first answer to violence is "No", then "Yes".

Etoiles' first answer to violence is "Yes", then "No".

Etoiles will kick off the battle but then stop when he sees the harm he's caused and change his behaviour radically.

Philza won't start the fight, but when he feels that he has no other choice left, he commits to violence fully and wholly. Phil will see it to an end, no matter what.

So it happens quite often that Etoiles feels guilty about his violence, but Philza has more of a "what's done is done" approach.

I get everything I want, we have Bolas bloodhounds which is everything I've ever wanted.

I'm so obsessed with the way Etoiles seemed to instantly relax into the mindset of "good solider", he came into Bolas with a plan. He's going to do everything he can for Bolas. Now that he isn't in a position of leadership, he has no kind of responsibility on his shoulders and he can be the weapon he's always been.

He's going to let them sharpen him, he's going to let Philza use him. He's going to be the guard dog that sits at Philza's feet and growls and snaps and attacks with just a word.

He no longer has to be the figurehead, he no longer has to make the decisions. Whatever he does reflects on his team and not just him. It's so good for him I think, to be able to rip through other teams without any kind of repercussions.

How long can you keep your humanity?

genuinely thinking about philza being on battle and all of his talk of morals and humanity leaving him, and just leaving in the battlefiel to Philza, General of the Antartic Empire. The Angel of Death. Who had a target that had to be taken out and nothing that stood on his way would be enough to stop him.

im also thinking about forever seeing philza almost break down yesterday, hugging him and telling him he doesnt like this, and he wants to be oout of this place now. only for today, he doesnt see THAT philza. he sees a philza that glides down on him and his team mates without mercy. who unwaveringly goes for his target, no matter what.

i wonder if forever realizes that maybe philza wants out not because he's scared of what is going on in this place. he wants out because it's bringing back to the surface a side of him that he very much left behind years ago.

im sorry im just absolutely never going to be over how foolish and philza, two of the most positive and truly neutral parties in the server [one chaotic neutral, the other more lawful neutral], the two people that always keep their emotions to themselves and refuse to show their breakdowns to others, two parents who spent most of their time alone with their children than anything esle.

one an angel of death, a man of the skies, clocked in black. the other a totem of undying, from the depths of the ocean, with gilded skin. both of them wise and experienced in war and death beyond their usually goofy and lax exteriors.

both of them in perfect synchronicity as they build up to green base, sneaking arround, shooting to cover eachother, building in different directions, one distracting while the other gets in. and then both sneaking in, covering eachother's back. both begining their silent attack, not only once but instead AT LEAST three times. all of this without BARELY SPEAKING TO EACHOTHER.

one of them is attacking and the other uses blocks to stop the enemy from getting to them. in the few moments when they can, both hit in perfect sync. when foolish sees that they have someone else inside with them, no hesitation he drops a bucket of lava, and philza notices immediately and takes a cider and tea and goes back to work.

the team gave a target to a shark and a bird of prey, and both of them zeroed in and absolutely NOTHING would stan in the way between them and their objective.

I wanna write a thousand essays on today about every team, but I feel like Bolas?? egg base and how they played today showcases their team very fucking well

First, the base was insane. If you didnt watch their streams recently, they weren’t 100% confident in their base. It wasnt as complete as they wanted it to be. It was half done and rushed at the last second.

But yet it was the most confusing and efficient base. Etoiles was mining at the base for like 15 mins, screaming about how he is confused on where the fuck the egg is. Hell, everyone including team Bolas hated the base because it was just awful to go through. And yet the other teams nearly found it like 4 times.

I feel like that Bolas in a whole. They are unpredictable and confusing. One of them says they dont wanna harm any farms yet another later on destroys a farm. Someone will say they are dirt poor while the other will say they are incredibly rich. They will light themselves on fire just to make sure you dont get want you want.

And yet they are careful with covering their tracks. They have so many different layers to their base to the point the other members are confused on what is what. They make sure everyone thinks they live on their old island. But yet they are prepared when someone finds their base and they have to move

Now going to how they all acted today holy shit

Foolish and Philza being sneaky rats and constantly climbing into Greens egg base. Foolish at one point was dead quiet as everyone around him was searching for him. Phil paragliding over and over again and just trying to hit them off their base.

Baghera being the agent of Chaos and fucking chasing people down with her chainsaw, having the time of her life. It was a terrifying image, but also an insane strat because he was destroying peoples armor. I remember Etoiles and Forever yelling about it being like what the fuck??

Charlie coming in last minute and doing what he can and just being himself. Chasing people down, only for them to one shot him. Just being in peoples way so they dont find the egg.

Cellbit being bloodthirsty and going for people, but hesitant when he saw Roier. He only hit when Roier hit him. Then constantly making sure no one saw the egg base and giving commands when things were getting scary

Jaiden helping out and kicking ass. Jaiden being in peoples ways so they dont spend more time at the egg base. Also just getting into fights as much as she can.

Who is to say if Phil killing the Egg statue is going to make a difference or not because we are just as blind as everyone else. We can make up as many theories at as we want, but you cant deny that team Bolas with the amazing help from team Soulfire deserve that win and that Cellbit and Foolish did an amazing job on the egg base.

But I want people to know (in terms of lore) who they are dealing with.

With Phil, that man has been through hell for his eggs. He loves them so much. He quite literally ran head first in getting kidnapped because he thought there was a possibility he could save them.

Phil loves all the eggs and he loves Pomme and Richas. Pomme is one of Tallulah’s best friend. Phil fucking adores Richas (and their admin)

But this is also Phil. This is the man who had to watch Code versions of his own eggs kill his friends, only for him to personally kill them. He knows that he can and will be fucked with/manipulated. He has said over and over again that he doesnt trust what this eye dude is saying.

Phil can be violent and dangerous, but he isnt stupid. He knows this can possibly lead to horrible things. He knows that his actions will have consequences.

But when Phil looks at these egg statues, he doesnt see the eggs that slept over his house or the ones that he made sure he didnt leave behind.

He sees his emotions getting fucked with again. He sees the Codes dressed up as his children. He sees pain and manipulation and blood.

also, something else that i think people who are not phil watchers dont know: phil did that entire event in Unenchanted Armor and with Unenchanted gear.

the man had no projectile protection, no protection of any tear, no unbreaking, no feather falling, no sharpness, no NOTHING. and im not 100% sure on Foolish's gear (i haven't watched his pov yet) but he was in a pretty similar state

they managed to scurry around so many enemies and get sll the way into the green base and complete this event IN BASIC DIAMOND GEAR (+one netherite helmet for phil), and fucking hell, most of their armor pieces are still unbroken

Quick edit: it seems foolish DID have enchanted armor. nevertheless, the point on phil being absolutely insane for doing this event with no enchantments still stands.

Sorry Cellbit, you and team BOLAS?!?!?!? already adopted Philza as your Dadza

Y'know what'd be truly ironic is if that every ticket that looked different was just for fun purposes and no serious lore. I doubt it but I have my suspicions

Some Bolas Rojas as found family headcannons for y'all:

Baghera particularly looks to Phil as a father figure. Because of how she grew up she hasn't really had a good parental figure before and Phil is another bird person who just radiates parental energy. I imagine him teaching her about some of the bird person things that she never learned because she grew up in the Federation. Also, Phil sees another Avian who is struggling and just goes into protective dad mode.

Cellbit has protective older sibling vibes. I like to think that he would be the first one to seek revenge. The amount of murder and such greatly increases when he's in charge. Like, no one can hurt your found family if they're dead. Still, he thinks things through the most of everyone. He has more murder plots than anyone else but they're the least impulsive and most well thought out murder plots on the entire team.

Phil tries his hardest to be there for the team (his children) in any way possible but he's still dealing with a lot mentally. Cellbit tries to make sure he's taking breaks while he and the others try their best to take care of things. It doesn't always go well because they're so chaotic but at least Phil isn't working himself to death. Phil also just genuinely cares so much. Like he's right there whenever there's any sort of problem. Supporting his family as best he can 'til the end.

Jaiden and Slimecicle have such chaotic sibling vibes. They intimidate others with their sheer insanity. Like, they're manipulating and waging physiological warfare. They're the siblings that get into intense fights but are still somehow besties. They go about everything in a contradictory yet balanced way. No matter what Jaiden is somehow able to turn any situation into something beneficial. On the other hand, Slime is just suffering. Like, he's somehow able to make anything metaphorically blow up, but in a good way. So unpredictable than no plans against Bolas work. It's like aggressive optimism and devastating pessimism combining into a dumpster fire that is also the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. So, yeah, heavy sibling vibes.

I honestly am not quite sure how Foolish fits into all of this. He's like the most and least sane at the same time. Just kinda there. Absolutely part of the found family though.

Pretty much everyone is so down for murder except for Phil. Whenever he goes to bed it just becomes murder hours. Some of them start out with all the intentions for it but not enough battle skills to pull stuff off but the others pretty quickly teach them what they need to know. This is a murder cult but only after their dad goes to bed.

Bolas becomes the most defensive team. As they continue to grow closer they get really protective over each other. After everything that happened around their original base the new one becomes practically a fortress. No one can get away with attacking one of them. This definitely helps with the impression of not being the most powerful while still being the most feared.

I haven't included Carre in this just because I don't know much.

I just kinda realized all of team bolas are animals/mob hybrids of some sort.. (at least the ones that log on lmao)

But like... It just makes me think that they're like being consumed by their animalistic instincts and it just makes me love even more how fucking feral they are hehe... And just their animalistic features just become more prominent

Like imagine Foolish's nose becoming so much more sensitive to blood. His teeth become sharper.

Cellbit and Carre just act even more like feral cats. There is fur that is starting to grow on their chests and backs.

Phill and Jaiden's battle cries are just their various bird screeches. Their feathers are also growing in more places as well

Charlie is already a gooey, gunky, slimey guy. But I like to think because of the radiation and toxic fog his slime had become a little more acidic and bubbles a lot more.

Baghs lets the claws on her feet grow, and she is already a humanoid duck so idk what else I could add to her but she can put the fear of god in anyone by simply charging like a goddamn duck about to beat someone's ass.

You can say whatever you want about the Red team but you cant deny that they are so into their roles and devoted to the bit. One of them, in the middle of their first day chaos, said they should all change their skins and fucking look at them.

THEY LOOK HORRIBLE I LOVE IT (Carre my boy por favor change your skin to be part of the chaos)

I hope we have a moment where the other teams see all of them together and go “Oh fuck they are really going through it”

And with them with their gas masks? Fucking horrifying

They are Bolas Rojas. They chant “BOLAS” when they see each other. They are a wild pack of hyenas who will die for a joke if they want. They are unpredictable yet the most coordinated team.

Day 2: Philza being Dadza to team bolas in purgatory for 2 minutes and 11 seconds straight Pt 4 [Jaiden POV]

Red just won 2 days in a row broooo DANG WELL DONE 👏👏 and breaking my silence even though it’s already obvious but. bolas are not underdogs they are THREATS.

no more “ohh nooo poor reds always have it hard :(((” people. give this team the props they deserve, they have an amazing synergy and are capable of very dubious actions (as they should) and are securing wins- the first team to win twice in a row. they should be treated as the nightmare dangers they are, alongside other teams. who will be retaliating upon them for good reason. all is fair in love and purgatory <3
