Stop making queer kids feel like they're going to die. Spread information and help links, please, but never, NEVER make a kid need to experience such existential dread.
Tell them how to be safe, not what will happen if they aren't.
Help them proceed instead of explaining why they'll be pushed back.
Teach them how to survive, not how they could die.
Edit: okay, WOW this actually got some attention!!! Here’s some things I wanna clarify
I don’t like risks should be ignored
kids shouldn’t be shielded from knowledge of potential threats
I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say
1990s mecha anime vs 2020s mecha anime
Sometimes, a good take can be found on r/grimdank.
I like what the paint job does to the face. It makes him look like he's been doing space drugs for the past ten millennia.
I don't want Fulgrim to look untouched by the past ten thousand years.
How do you feel about Fulgrim's new model?
this head specifically looks like a harlequin mask
Honestly, the more I think about it, the more the Templin Institute's female Space Marines video feels like something an anti-woke grifter would make. For the dark gods' and the Emperor's sake, it's titled "Female Space Marines and the Death of Canon". If someone told me to watch a video with that title, I'd expect it to be someone bitching about "how dare women exist in my totally exclusively male hobby" and how "the woke mob is trying to destroy warhammer", and not the exact opposite. The only part of the video that lines up with what I'd expect from the title is how poorly-constructed the arguments are.
I'll probably write up a proper response to the video next week when I'm on spring break, it's been weighing on me far more than it should.
Whispered: volume
Said softly: tone
I know adverbs are controversial, but "said softly" means something different than "whispered" and this is the hill I will die on.
I mean, the idea that future archeologists would look purely at bone structure to identify gender, when they almost certainly would a) have more methods available and b) know that transgender people are a thing, was pretty silly.
future archaeologists will know you were (not) a boy
Sure, go ahead.
I swear, if I hear *one more person* simplify fulgrim to just "yassss queen slay" I am going to break something. He's such an interesting, tragic and relatable character and I wish people didn't simplify him to "haha pretty boy".
That third one is just a lore-accurate depiction of a knight world.

and my personal favourite
they also have a series on warhammer characters in dresses titled "the prittiest X"
my mum was googling for an article about why everyone in the lord of the rings film is white (like to be clear she was annoyed by this) and the google ai was apparently like “everybody in the lord of the rings is not white. gandalf is grey.”
Femboys, Warhammer 40,000, Battleships, and whatever else crosses my mind
