October has been still, quiet and just the same each day almost like being stuck in a groundhog day; and yet very quick and headlong. There have been days where it got very difficult, the wait and the delays can be painful and gruelling. All one can do is keep going. Consuming fiction has been helpful. Though I don't have much thought to add, I wish I did. But I don't. It's like I am blank, and just floating through time, like a dandelion, waiting to land and then grow into a whole new plant. We can always lean on the art we consume for support, Frankenstein has been the perfect start to this Autumn season. Victor Frankenstein's ambitions and intellect, curiosity and immersion take us on a journey about obsessions and regrets and how we should refrain from playing God, the monster's innocent, child-like curiosity about the world and its people was a treat, and its transition into anger and vengeance, and lost innocence was just as tragic, all he wanted was to be loved and accepted. The true villain of the story was fallible human obsession with glory, that led to such wretched state of affairs. Jo March will never not be my comfort character. Her struggles and journey as someone who wants a thing of her own and be good at it, and make something out of it; the difficult emotions she faces as an older sibling who can't escape situations like a younger sibling has the privilege to; her periods of quiescence where she had to put her passions on hold and felt stuck, and questioned everything, or thought to almost give up, and therefore give in for the need of love to the wrong person will always, always resonate with me. And Suzume, Ah! Just watched it today and loved, loved it. Ending this entry with a quote from Suzume, as a note to myself because God knows how much I needed to hear it today. 16-year-old Suzume meets her younger 4-year-old self and tells her,
‘How do I say this, listen Suzume. No matter how sad you are right now, one day you'll grow up. So, don't worry. The future is not that scary. You’ll meet many people whom you will cherish, and you will meet many people who will cherish you, too. It might be tough moving forward. The night may seem endless right now, but one day morning will come. You will grow up basking in that light. I'm sure of it. It's written in the stars.’

It's amazing to know just how much our faith would grow if we spent less time telling God about our problems and started speaking words of faith over those problems instead.
In my storm I would always complain about my feelings, but nothing changed. I complained about what I lacked, but nothing changed. I would complain about how things looked like they were not going to workout, but still nothing changed. But I realized that nothing was changing because my words were not changing.
God knew how I felt, what I lacked, and how things looked - not only was He fully aware, He was the One in total control. He wanted me to understand that, and start speaking words of change into my situation instead of just complain.
If the hair on our heads are numbered, then every word we speak must be recorded. If God is listening, and you can bet the world He is, then He wants to hear words that will cause Him to move, and nothing will do that like words of faith.
So speak to your situation words of faith and be consistent in doing so. If you know God has opened a door for you that no man can close, then confess that!
If you know your latter days are going to be greater than your former, confess that!
If you know God is working your situation out to your advantage, confess that!
Confess words of faith and watch how things begin to change in your favor!
The problem is we're looking for someone to grow old together while the secret is finding someone to remain kid with....
Someone who brings out the inner child in us....
Someone who breaks the walls which we have built around our hearts...
Someone who makes us believe that it's not necessary that we are always the one who love but never the loved...
Someone who can be our muse....
Someone who feels like a warm hug after a chilly night....
Someone who is like the moon....

Stop scrolling for a minute, take a deep breath. Come and sit down with me for a minute, I’ll make us some tea. It’s a quiet morning, apart from the birds of course. We can sit here for a while, we can chat or just pass the time of day. Or we can go for a walk if you want, my dog can come with us. She doesn’t walk very fast but it will give us time to take in the wildflowers as we go. Or we can go into town and wonder around the secondhand bookstores because there are so many stories we haven’t read yet. And there is something magical about secondhand books, knowing they’ve been loved before. Time passes slowly here, there’s no where to be. Remember no matter how bad things seem, everything will be okay. You’re safe here, darling. Stay as long as you like and you can always come back. Chin up, my love. You’re going to be just fine.
February is right around the corner, which means it’s soon time for Funguary 2023! the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb.
Here’s how it works:
Each week of the month will have a theme with seven different prompts, draw something mushroom related within that theme in order to join. The themes are Weird, Mystical, Malicious and Friendly. You don’t have to complete all the prompts, just one mushroom per theme/week is plenty!
If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;). The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you. This is a chill event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art🍄
