absquatulate: (v). to leave without saying goodbye.
includes: kaeya, albedo, hu tao, kazuha, xinyan
KAEYA ALBERICH would try to hold on to you for as long as possible because you were the one who understood him, the only one who knew of his flaws and his crimes, yet still chose to love him. but in the end, he knew he couldn't hold on to you much longer. he was doomed to be alone, after all.
"please, don't leave me."
ALBEDO accepts the fact that he would never be with you again. i mean, that is how life works right? things come and go, yet for some reason, albedo can't help but miss the feeling of your presence, your touch, your words. you saw him as something more than the smart alchemist, but he regarded you as nothing more than an experiment with a surprisingly bittersweet end.
"you were the purest dust in my life."
HU TAO reminisces of the time you both spent together, savouring each laugh of yours in her memories, your bright smile that would illuminate her dark world and transform it into something beautiful. but the deafening silence was ringing in her ears, the absence of your jokes and comments and usual playful banter drained from existence, like a soul taken away.
"but life means nothing without you."
KAEDEHARA KAZUHA sits atop that one special rock that overlooked a small river in liyue with a soft smile on his face, watching the sunset as it casts a colourful glow over the river. his hand momentarily caresses the rock, looking for that particular warm feeling of your hand beside him, but then he remembers that you weren't there anymore, and that smile fades away along with the sunset.
"I can't lose you, too."
XINYAN strums her guitar onstage, her fingers gliding over each chord with ease. she prepares to sing the song you both wrote while huddling underneath a blanket on that frosty night, lifting her head to scan over the crowd searching for those distinct eyes she had grown to see full of admiration and love for her. her fingers hesitate, her breath cuts short, you're no longer there. the music breaks, along with her heart.
"but how about that song we wrote together?"
not my first genshin post being an angst
not revised because I'm fvcking tired :D ,, i'll do it l8r prolly
@solar-shatter, this is for you <3
you'll never forget their touch, even if the years may stretch out and the warmness of their love turns to what seems like icy cold.
— FT ; kaeya alberich, eula lawrence (separately) x gender neutral!reader
— NOTES ; ANGST. :") references to their cryo vision, many ice-related metaphors, comparisons, and descriptions. WC, ≈ 0.7k
— WARNINGS ; themes of abandonment. they still love you, and you them, but you still have to part ways for whatever reasons. physical affection (hugs, kisses) mentioned. having to leave them, or perhaps they leave you. (but they still love you.)
— A/N ; happy start of december! here's a little mini-series i kind of have for winter season fr cryo characters <3 so far this is only fr kaeya & eula but expect fr ayaka, ganyu, and rosaria sometime soon 👁✨ dedicated to @noxtivagus my beloved twin! >:D kaeya and eula kissers, sorry fr breaking yalls hearts ;c /lh ——— m.list.
cold comfort. only such a word could describe what you were feeling, as kaeya's slender hands left yours for the last time—traces of the freezing touch of his cryo vision lingering on your fingers. and, if one were to go closer, they'd see it too in your hair (that he loved to touch), your lips (which he loved to kiss), and even smack in the middle of your chest. for that was where your heart sat, and he had encased it with his love—love so quiet yet thrilling, but you knew anyways it was genuine. it always was.
so, why did he have to leave, then? your eyes shut close, and your mind repeated his words over and over again. excuses, excuses, and excuses—just a whole bunch of excuses and you just wish it were different, that it were better, and that he instead make excuses so the two of you could be together, not apart.
alas, such dreams are far too naive for this icy world, and he leaves you. the comfortable cold he brings about leaves a chilling numbness in your heart with bitterness in your mouth and on your lips which he used to kiss oh so filled with his love.
"i love you." he said, but he let go of you seemingly so easily that it's hard to believe he really did. but he still does and always will—his world is merely far too dangerous for you, so he thinks, and he doesn't want you to be hurt. even, if it costs him the happiness he had when loving you. thus do you leave each other, until the touch of his slender hands in yours feels like a faraway dream—a dream far too encased in ice to ever be revived, though it will always still stay dormant, somewhere there in the deepest pits of the heart.
eula thinks to herself, sometimes, as to why she had allowed to let you go—you, the one person whom she felt she could truly trust, with her heart that she stubbornly cages within her cold chest that refuses to ever give up until she has rightfully done her duty.
the winter in mondstadt feels colder than ever, but she's used to it. she likes the cold—though she sees you from the corner of her eye, and her breath hitches, and suddenly the shivers up her spine feel colder than if she hypothetically threw her cryo vision into freezing water in dragonspine. it hurts. oh, it's you. she steps back in caution and panic stirs in her mind when you notice her gaze, but you seemingly can do nothing more than stare as well.
"i miss you." is all she ever wanted to yell out. to stop caring, to finally live the life free of the burdens she was born with, to be with you—you, who when you both were younger, would comfort her with a warm hug. you, who she felt so at home and at peace and accepted by... but it was never meant to be. she didn't want them to see you the same way all the others did to her.
she misses that warmth. but, she let you go, didn't she? and she hates the way you both still catch each others glances in the street of mondstadt, only for her to force her gaze away and act as if she never knew you.
eula wonders, sometimes, if you still feel the same. for even after all that time, she still longs for the warmth you gave her that tore down her icy walls and melted her cold exterior, short as her time with you was. you opened up the real eula—not as a lawrence or the spindrift knight—but eula. though, those days are long gone now, only staying alive in the encases of her memories as cold comfort, which she hopes she will never forget, even if you may one day do.

Synopsis: inazuma characters and the pet names they use!
Warnings: none
Game/ fandom: genshin impact
Characters: all inazuma characters
Pronouns for reader: all(?)
A/n: hello everyone! This idea has been stuck in my head for days and I have no clue why I didn’t write it sooner TvT (I accidentally posted this way to early so if you saw that… no you didn’t)
Ayaka: love, lovely, and your name
Ayaka is a smile woman, only using love/ lovely when you’re alone, and your name out in public. The only exception to that is if you’re around… important people. Like sara for example. In a meeting of sorts, she won’t hesitate to say “love can you hand me that piece of paper”
Yoimiya: baby, sweetie, spark
Typically using baby or sweetie all the time. Though does throw in spark once and a while. It started off as a joke, with yoimiya saying “oh my adorable little sparky” as a joke… you know (please don’t ask for context because I can’t give it to you, I just know she’d do this :’)) But then she actually started calling you spark.
Thoma: darling, sweetheart, prince/princess
Only addresses you with utmost respect, and sweetness in his voice. Even during a fight he’ll be kind, and use these pet names. He uses them out in public too, not shying away from pda, but of course he’ll respect you and your boundaries, so if you’re not comfortable with that he’ll only use pet names when you’re alone or not around many people.
Sara: your name
I honestly think she’s too nervous to use pet names, and feels like you’ll think she’s being disrespectful. She doesn’t know why, but because of how much she respects you she only calls you by your name. Maybe a nickname.
Kokomi: love, sweetheart, baby, cutie, angel
Not ashamed to use pet names, and literally will call you the sweetest things you can think of. She thinks it’s so fitting for you because she of course thinks you’re a sweetheart.
Gorou: babe, and love
Gorou is a tough one, I genuinely had no clue what to put down for him. Though I had to settle on something. He probably called you puppy/pup once and now he says it in private. Just cause.
Itto: gorgeous, pretty, and something relating to an inside joke of yours
Worships you to the point where he calls you gorgeous and pretty when addressing you. And for the inside joke part… that’s for you to decide. He could call you “beans” just cause it has to do with some joke you have. Actually yeah. He probably calls you beans even though he’s literally allergic to them.
Kazuha: anything and everything
This man could literally call you “trash can” and it would sound like the most heavenly thing you’ve ever heard. The way he uses his words is so…????? To the point where he can make anything sound like a pet name.
Ei: sweetie
Doesn’t really think pet names are… useful. When you explain it to her as a, “endearing name you call someone you love” she probably is like “well… I love you… and I love deserts… I could call you cake?” You decided on sweetie after that.
Yae: my love, and darling
The way her voice says ‘my love’ when addressing you is so… soothing. She isn’t even saying your name and she suddenly has you wrapped around her finger with a few simple words.
A/N; Dni if you aren’t wlw or nblw
#BAAL;
Didn’t intend to cuddle with you. But you were too warm to resists. So she layed in bed besides you, and pressed her head against your breasts and fell asleep. You were too perfect.
#EULA;
Sleeping on her breasts were like a dream come true. It was just amazing and something you could enjoy for a life time. Besides watching her get red since you were comfortable was cute and funny.
#YOIMIYA;
Holding each other while you both slept in a field of grass was something so loving. Just holding her in your arms was so nice along with the nice wind brushing your skin.
#YAE;
Would have you sleep on her breasts while she plays with the strands of your hair and tucks every last one behind your ear. Besides you were adorable, when you slept in her arms.
and in the end I could not save you.
{tw: character death, blood}
she held you close to her, your warmth leaving you. the tears were unstoppable, flowing down her eyes like waterfalls. you smiled weakly and lifted your hand to wipe her tears, though it was in vein as they streamed once more.
“it’s not your fault” you whisper.
how could you say that?
the blood seeping through your wound, now all over her clothes as well, her hands stained red with blood, not only yours but those she had slain to get to you. she was too late to reach you in the end though.
had she been a minute earlier—a second—could she have prevented this?
“please… don’t leave me….” she strained out, her voice weak, cracking, her tears dropping to your cheeks like rainfall.
you promised, you promised you’d always be together.
you promised her eternity.
when your body fell limp, your hand falling, your last breath exhaled. she knew you were gone.
screams and wails of agony came forth from the violet ruler. in their wake, crashes of thunder and lightning struck the ground as she hugged your body to her. wishing—willing—that somehow, some force would give you back.
deep down, she knew that you both could not have eternity together, but she would rather look away from everyone telling her to face the facts.
she would prove to everyone—and you—that she could make eternity real.
she would make it real.
- Hu Tao is wide awake at this hour which her S/O SHOULD be used to at this point.
- She jumps on their bed, startling them as she wraps her arms around their waist.
(Hu Tao) "Hello, dear!"
(S/O) "Nggh...Hu Tao? What in the-"
(Hu Tao) "Come on, I wanna show you something!"
- She playfully shakes them until they groggily get up.
(S/O) "Alright alright, I'm up..."
- S/O stares at the window and sighs, knowing that dawn wouldn't break until several more hours.
- As Hu Tao excitedly hops down the stairs while S/O slowly catches up, they finally see what she woke them up for.
- ...It was a bowl of noodles.
- S/O unamusingly gazes over to Hu Tao, who was standing in the darkness with a wide grin.
(Hu Tao) "Now, see that bowl? It's cold."
(S/O) "...Yes. That is a cold bowl of noodles. In the dead of night."
(Hu Tao) "4 AM actually!"
(S/O) "And I am up for...?"
(Hu Tao) "This!"
- She activates her pyro vision and instantly heats the noodles to a steaming degree, and even from this distance S/O could tell it was edible now.
(Hu Tao) "Boom! Instant noodles!"
(S/O) "...Okay that was pretty cool."
(Hu Tao) "Have some with me!"
- S/O sits with Hu Tao as she happily slurps down the noodles.
- While it admittedly looked good, they still were not wanting to be awake right now.
- Hu Tao giggles as she winks at them, mouth still full.
(Hu Tao) "Lub you!"
(S/O) "...Hmph."
- S/O only smiles as their eyes drop down little by little. It was nice seeing her happy like this. Unfortunately this wasn't going to be the last time they'd be woken up like this.
Characters: Hu Tao, Ganyu x gn!reader
Now Playing: Lovesong (The Way) - [feat. Bluets], Charlie Burg
Hu Tao loves to pull pranks, and makes jokes quite often considering the whimsical type of person she is. But she’s dead set serious on making this confession as meaningful as ever. She wants the moment to be perfect; maybe in the dead of the night when the stars and moon are lustrous and at their brightest. Maybe when you two are peering over at each other, she could mutter a small “I like you, go out with me?” and spectate your reaction. But… not everything always goes as planned. Hu tao declared her love and adoration for you … accidentally.
Ganyu’s confession is almost perfect. You two were quietly sitting down on the soft green grass, when she turned to study your face. Your expression was soft and relaxed, as you glanced over at her, catching her fixated gaze on you. Her features softened as you both continued to look longingly at one another. Ganyu’s radiant lips turned into a small smile as she confessed her feelings. Her ears and cheeks rosy red, as she somewhat reluctantly spoke her thoughts. It was hard to do so, but after she got it off her chest, her eyes flashed towards your lips, taking small glimpses at them, wondering what words you were to utter back.
prompt: you've left hu tao for kaedehara kazuha. those around her are concerned with the drastic changes in her personality, yet hu tao doesn't care about anyone's opinions of her besides you. pairing: hu tao x gn!reader cw: angst. death mentions bc it's hu tao but no major character death. wc: ~2.1k words a/n: written SPECIFICALLY for @starglitterz (and also because i really like this idea and haven't written anything for her before). hope u enjoy this when u wake up! im a menace for a 2k word long sabotage, i know
it's funny what can bring two people together.
zhongli, who despised hu tao, now stands beside her. he serves not as a consultant but rather as a friend. his advice is sage and his words are kind, but sometimes, hu tao wishes he still looked at her with disgust. it would be better than the pity that's in his eyes. he's made it his own agenda to tag along with her on her lunch breaks. besides, if he didn't follow her around, it would mean you were still with her. she'd much rather have you than zhongli.
it's the sixth lunch visit where the awkward situation turns even more suffocating.
"overseer," zhongli speaks up as she turns to head out. she bites back a groan, yet holds her tongue. her gaze moves over to him, once bright eyes dulled with sadness and apathy. "i am planning to go out to lunch with some friends. would you care to join?"
hu tao, ever compliant, can't find it in herself to decline. potential clients, she reminds herself. but, as she sits down at the wanmin restaurant, she can't help but wonder if this is too big of a client. singular. one other person.
did mr. zhongli bring me here just to third wheel? hu tao thinks.
"hi! i'm tartaglia, eleventh of the fatui harbingers," he extends a hand.
previously, hu tao would have taken it and chirped a kind greeting. all business is good business, right? but now, since you've left, hu tao lacks the ambition that once motivated her. instead, she stares down childe.
"didn't you try to destroy liyue?" she asks. zhongli clears his throat. the smile drops from childe's face briefly before he bursts out into laughter.
"don't you run a funeral parlor? it only would have helped your business," childe laughs. zhongli's gaze returns to its typical neutrality and, with nothing else to say, hu tao takes a seat.
xiangling takes their order. she expects hu tao to say something, anything to prank her, yet it never arrives. hu tao remains sullen and quiet. throughout the lunch, zhongli and childe exchange loving glances. even the wonderful tastes of xiangling's cooking can't cover up the bitter flavor of envy in her mouth at the sight of them.
"so, comrade," childe says callously, turning to look at hu tao. "xiangsheng told me you're going through a breakup."
immediately, alarm bells ring in hu tao's head. zhongli takes a sip of his drink as her gaze narrows, flitting between the two men before her. is this... an intervention? by a snezhnayan? a WAR CRIMINAL? hu tao is mildly aghast. if she was feeling like her usual self, she would have applauded zhongli for thinking of a funnier prank than anything she's ever placed upon him. instead, she feels as if she's sitting before two father figures (both a bit unhinged in their own ways, one more glaringly evil than the other). it's weird. it feels... wrong for someone to care about her in this manner.
wasn't that supposed to be your job? she doesn't want the attention of others, just you.
"he wanted me to offer you some advice," childe says. "i am quite experienced in the romantic field, after all."
hu tao doubts that last part.
"but, i have no advice to give! instead, i have a service to offer. we'll both benefit. give me the name of those who have wronged you and i'll personally eliminate them myself! i owe zhongli a favor, so-" childe begins, but zhongli cuts him off with a harsh glare.
"you have broken enough of liyue's laws, childe," he chastises. childe is unperturbed.
"aw, i guess zhongli had to ruin the fun," childe huffs. "but anyways, if you want me to kill your ex-"
"no," hu tao says. she's withdrawing into herself. none of the usual mirth of this conversation gets through to her. instead, she stands up.
"thank you for lunch, but i have to return to work."
she walks away from the two, despite zhongli calling out after her.
---
hu tao doesn't return to work. instead, she walks to the coast of liyue harbor and sits down on the edge of the piers. the scent of the ocean is calming and the bustling noises of trade are familiar to her. here, in this secluded spot, she can be away from the pitying eyes. she knows she's changed. she no longer pranks others. her joyous tunes of poetry no longer erupt from her.
instead, she hums a familiar tune to herself. it's the cadence of the poem she used to tell you all the time.
hu tao has experienced death and loss before, but nothing has ever hurt quite this badly. perhaps it's knowing that she could have kept you if she was more careful that eats away at her. you are all she wants, yet you look at her as if you see through her. the two of you haven't spoken in weeks, yet the pain doesn't ease.
hu tao half-expects a red string to be tied around her finger when she looks down. she knows it would lead her to you. would yours lead to her? probably not. that's why you left her for the other poet, one filled with mystery and intrigue. kaedehara kazuha, a ronin from inazuma. he's valiant, standing up against the raiden shogun at the cost of everything he's known. hu tao stays in one place, performing the same tasks over and over. but him? he can provide you the adventure you always wanted.
hu tao laughs to herself. it's short and it's sweet and she's a bit embarrassed to have done so, yet she's more embarrassed as to why she laughs.
for the first time since the breakup, the first thing she's found to be funny is the realization that you never really loved her. there's no way. if you loved her, you would be hurting in the same way she is. she's changed and you haven't. you're probably making out with the stupid kazuha dude or whatever while she mopes over you.
it makes the pain within her feel so much worse.
she snaps out of her wallowing thoughts as she hears footsteps on the pier. she straightens her posture and corrects her expression to be one of neutrality as she stares out onto the water. yet, rather than turning away as one usually does when approaching the dead end of the pier that hu tao is sitting on, the footsteps approach her.
"hu tao?" a familiar voice asks. icy adrenaline shoots through hu tao's veins at the realization that the person approaching her is you. hu tao's gaze snaps up to meet yours. you look at her with a furrowed brow. in your eyes is the same pity that she always sees in everyone else's.
she hates it.
"hiya, sweethe- (y/n)." hu tao catches herself. you seem nonplussed by her mistake.
"your consultant... zhongli, was it? he told me you weren't feeling well and disappeared off to some place. he sounded pretty concerned," you say. hu tao wants to scream. zhongli sent you here? she has half a mind to fire him, but if her suspicions about him being an adeptus (or something greater) are true, then she can't afford being smited or whatever it is immortals do when you wrong them.
"aiya, i'm not feeling too well, but no need to worry about me!" hu tao chirps. you fail to see through her forced cheery facade, yet you sit down next to her anyways.
"you're looking rather flushed," you comment. "do you have a fever?"
before hu tao can stop you, you brush her bangs away and lay the back of your palm against her forehead to check. she can feel her face flush with heat at the gesture. your eyes focus on her and hu tao feels the familiar feeling of tears at the back of her eyes. she wants you to touch her like this forever. treat her with the kindness that only feels genuine when it comes from you.
"jeez, tao, you're burning up!" you state. "you shouldn't be out at the pier. c'mon, i'll take you home."
you, never one to take no for an answer, scramble up before tugging on her arm. despite her being just fine to walk and certainly not feverish (just in love, even if you've moved on), you loop her arm around her shoulder, making her lean on you as you walk. she hopes the close proximity doesn't give away the rapid beating of her heart.
"so, how has your day been?" you ask nonchalantly as you guide her back to her home. you know where it is. you've been there hundreds of times before. "besides the sickness, of course."
"mr. zhongli introduced me to one of his friends. quite a weird dude, but hey, new clients are never bad, right? he seems like he'd be easy to prank," hu tao rambles a bit with her words, but you don't seem to mind. instead, you laugh easily.
"is that so? you do love pranks," you muse. no, i love you, hu tao wants to correct, but holds her tongue. "xiangling tells me you haven't been pranking her recently, though."
"oh?" hu tao says, as if it's a surprise. "work always comes first and i have been busy recently, but perhaps a surprise is in store for her."
it's a lie. she knows it, but you don't. there's no point in pranking people, not when her thoughts are constantly plagued with you and the loss of love. in this little moment, she can pretend that the two of you are still together, that this interaction wasn't forced upon her by someone overstepping their boundaries. she yearns for you, yet you no longer want her. silence falls between the two of you after you hum an acknowledgment to your words.
"tao," you begin as you approach her front door. "there's something i need to tell you."
"oh yeah?" hu tao asks, forcing her tone to remain even as she opens up the front door and turns to face you. despite wanting to let you in, a part of her knows better than to extend the invitation. you'd only reject it, after all. you look away from her.
"i'm... sorry. i shouldn't have... left you like that," you say. "it was unfair to you."
hu tao holds her breath. is this what she's been waiting for? for you to come back? but wait, why does it feel so... wrong?
"i realize that um... you deserve better than me," you say. "which is why..."
you trail off. this isn't how this is supposed to go, hu tao thinks, but her throat is dry. she swallows thickly. tears begin to well in her eyes and threaten to spill out as you think over your words.
"hey, don't beat yourself up over such a silly little th-" hu tao begins, but your gaze returns to her with fiery resolution in your eyes.
"i'm leaving with the crux fleet tomorrow. the ship departs tomorrow. you won't have to worry about me anymore. i've made my bed, it's time to lie in it."
hu tao could laugh at your choice of words, but instead, she stares at you with wide eyes. she blinks. leaving..? the crux..?
"it's a hasty decision but... kazuha said that when the time is right, we should get married," you say. hu tao feels as if everything is passing her at too fast of a rate. "so i'm going with him."
"oh. congratulations!" hu tao says. her voice is wobbly. you smile, tears welling up in your own eyes.
"i'm sorry, darling," you say. hu tao feels something in her snap at the pet name. she takes a step back, further into the safety of her house.
"i'm happy for you, (y/n)," hu tao lies. "but please, never call me that again."
the funeral parlor overseer doesn't know what comes over her. she closes the door in your face before you can respond. she lets out a shaky breath as she hears your footsteps as you walk away from the entryway.
leaving... tomorrow... kazuha... married?
a choked sob escapes hu tao. why not her? why him? she doesn't understand and, all alone in the home the two of you once shared, hu tao breaks down sobbing, begging for someone, anyone to change the tides of fate that she cannot.
why can’t you hate me? (because i still love you) — kujou sara
pairing: kujou sara/gn!reader (romantic)
category: angst laugh out loud
a little summary: in which kujou sara is tasked with confiscating your vision. and maybe it wouldn’t have been so hard if your eyes looked at her with hate and not love.
note: @xiaophobic giggles sadly
kujou sara does not cry.
she never does, not even when her body hurts from the countless injuries, not even when she overhears the harsh commentary of other generals, not when the almighty shogun scolds her for another failed mission against the resistance.
she does not cry. never.
but now, the shogun’s words ring in her mind — bring me their head or their vision. the choice is yours — and for the first time in her life, she can feel her facade cracking a little bit. she’s crumbling, piece by piece, just by looking at you.
you, oh you, with your dirtied palms and knees roughly hitting the ground in front of her. you, with a knife pressed against your throat by the one that swore that she would protect you. the one that said she would give your life for you in a heartbeat. your face is dirty and the hydro vision glisting at your neck makes her heart hurt. just yet another sign of how the two of you could never work.
“vision hunt decree,” her voice rings, loud and clear. if one would listen closely, they would hear how her voice wares for a second and a split moment of pain flashed through her face, “in the name of the almighty shogun, hand over your vision!”
“same as always,” you breath out. she feels a sting at that comment. she looks into your eyes, her face devoid of any emotions. all she can see is a gentle smile gracing your lips and your eyes soft and looking at her with understanding. she hates this, she hates you and most of all she hates herself.
you still have a chance, she wants to say. you can still come back to our side. you can still go back and stand by my side. i’ll convince her, we’ll tell you you came back to your senses. please.
“the resistance never betrays it’s own,” you whisper, as if knowing what she’s thinking about. “take my vision, sara. don’t make it hurt anymore than it has to.”
there is no place for love on the battlefield. especially not for the traitors.
why can’t you hate me? she wants to scream. why don’t you cry? why aren’t you picking up a fight? her hand shakes a little bit. it cuts your throat just slightly and she panics, her breath hitching.
“i’ll still love you. i don’t blame you,” you say gently. you’re still smiling, she notices. why are you still smiling? it was inevitable. war was full of sacrifices and burned promises.
kujou sara does not cry. but a single tear rolls of her cheek when she hands over your vision to the shogun.
good job, she purrs, satisfied.
she hates herself even more.
extra bc im feeling funky;
the next time she meets you, you somehow look happier, even though your vision is not with you. she wants to hide from you, but a part of her makes her go up to you and meet your eyes.
“excuse me, do i know you?” you ask, tilting your head.
“no. i don’t think you do,” her throat closes up and she feels as if she’s falling.
you don’t remember her.
hello!! um could I request A grande 🍹&🍬 with hu tao :P

With Hu Tao being the way she is, I don’t believe that would would even have the Hanahaki disease. She’s very straightforward and honest with her feelings, so you’d probably be together before you even knew it.
But let’s say that she was a little to busy with affairs from the funeral parlor, so it left little communication between you two.
You knew you always had a crush on her, however you never knew if she liked you back.
When you coughed up that first silk flower petal, you didn’t know what it was at first. You have to consult Zhongli, who told you it was the hanahaki disease.
Hanahaki disease? There’s no way you could have contracted it. Well, the crackling silence and distance between you and Hu Tao was a telltale sign.
So what did you do? You hid it from everyone. Was that a good idea? You don’t think so anymore.
What started was a few pink petals every now and then became fully blossomed lycoris flowers clouding your esophagus brimming with plant life.
Of course, the love of your life Hu Tao was completely oblivious to what was going on. Whenever you came into the funeral parlor hands clad in silk flowers that you had just coughed up. Not knowing anything, she’d take the flowers thinking they were a fresh bouquet you had picked for her.
It would be like this for the first few month you had the disease. The only person who truly knew what was going on was Zhongli. You weren’t officially diagnosed, so he had highly advised you to see a doctor.
But what if the doctor recommended to to have the flowers removed? You didn’t want to lose feeling for Hu Tao, you truly did love her. You could continue to hide it and run the risk of dying, or just come clean and possibly face rejection.
Love is such a deceptive fleeting feeling. One fleeting enough to cause a deadly disease, and deceptive enough to have it based around flowers. Most flowers signaling love or new beginnings, signaled death in this case.
You grew to love those small moments of happiness you shared with Hu Tao. Her prankster smile and energy, and those bright ruby eyes. You had to cherish every moment like it was your last, never knowing if that was going to be it.
Hu Tao soon became wary of your worsening state. How you’d constantly break into asthmatic coughing fits so bad blood would come up. She’d sometimes see the flowers as well, but just thought you had a Dendro vision at first. How you’d become more weak and paler as the days go on.
Your body was tired. The plethora of flowers growing inside you stopped. You thought it was over, but petal haven’t had enough yet. They were insatiable and wouldn’t stop until your entire body was engulfed in deadly yet beautiful blossoms. You had to fix it, and fast.
You had planned to just tell Hu Tao about how you felt. No use prolonging the inevitable, it’s either die from embarrassment or die from the flowers. You chose the former. All was going well, you ironically had a bouquet of red roses to give to her while you asked her out.
But fate had other plans.
Before you could even greet her, you collapsed immediately. Breath thinning and state worsening, you were hospitalized. Slipping between conscious and unconscious, you couldn’t help but think that this was it. You didn’t get the chance to tell her I love you.
Hu Tao was panicking. Left oblivious to your months of pain, just for you to collapse right in front of her. She had the same problem as you, bottling up her feelings for you being afraid of rejection.
But look where that got us.
You, pale as a ghost in critical condition lying motionless in the hospital and Hu Tao standing beside holding your hand. She had hoped to every archon that you would make it out alive.
It would seem that the archons had heard her prayers, for your condition became gradually more stable. Once you could fully understand your surroundings, the doctor came in and explained what happened.
They said that you made it just in time, for if anymore time would have passed you may have not made it. A very confused Hu Tao became more uncharacteristically scared. You could have died? What happened?
The doctor then described that you had the Hanahaki disease. A rare illness that affects victims of unrequited love. She finally understood. You were just like her, afraid of rejection.
Hu Tao semi tackled you on the hospital bed, hugging you tight and whispering quiet “I love yous” in your ear. Smiling, you hugged back reciprocating the warm feelings
You continued coughing up flowers for the next week or so, but they eventually all left your system leaving you a Hanahaki survivor with a lovely girlfriend named Hu Tao.
