Hello everyone, there's something that I'd like to share with everyone here, because I believe it will help a lot of people.

For us folks who engage in imaginary worlds, with canon characters or our own creations, who have deep conversation with their faves in their heads or need their comfort character's shoulder to cry on, there is an unavoidable phenomenon which I took the liberty of naming "Character burnout".

"Character Burnout" essentially means that you have no energy in order to visualise your character(s) in your mind or engage with them on your imagination. I've come to the conclusion that it can be a result of an actual burnout (mental) or it can be irrelevant to mental state and your mind is overwhelmed. Simply put, it is the way your mind kindly asks you for a small break to charge its batteries. After all, picturing an entirely different reality needs a lot of energy.

Now, the reason I'm saying all this, is not for the sake of just mentioning it. I understand that a lot of us are extremely attached to our comfort characters/ f/o(s) or whatever you prefer calling them, myself included, and this situation can be very stressful. Personally, I panic, thinking that I've lost interest to my favourite characters or "grew out of it" to the point I become unable to function at all, but, after a small amount of time I can connect with them again.

So, when you experience this, please don't jump into conclusions or let fear overcome you, the connection will come back again as enjoyable as ever, you just need to be patient and give your mind the time it deserves to recharge in order to take you places again. It may take days, or weeks, but the love we have for our characters is never gone.

If anyone wants to talk about this, please do speak your mind, and I'm open if someone wants to discuss it with me as well.

So um that's it, and and sorry for the long post!

Tontu Lore

Profile and description

Tontu is an explorer of the cosmos, what is he looking for one may ask, no one really knows. His calm and almost peaceful and kind looking demeanour and very inaccurate to his actual personality. Essentially Tontu is an asshole but he uses his majestic appearance to seem as though he is a wise teacher of magic. Don’t be fooled by him though, he’s not afraid of getting his hands dirty, after all the ends justify the means.

Tontu is considered a young adult by the Kabii although he is over a hundred years old. He is shorter than average and has peach coloured skin with white markings around his eyes that reveal his status as a royal magic user to other Kabii. He wears a traditional wizards hat with matching coloured shoes and white gloves. He has large moth wings with short tails, the upper part is a brilliant blue colour that matches his eyes and the lower part is a slightly dull light purple. Finally he has two large bipectinate antennas that complete his odd appearance of a moth. He can be seen holding a staff that helps him channel magic.

Tontu’s backstory and why he is the way he is before meeting the main cast

Origin

Tontu grew up on the planet Taphino [see:The planet Taphino and the Kabii] as one of the leaders children along with his older sister. He is was never overly remarkable among his species, he mainly focused on learning magic specifically runes, alchemy and curses and although he was among the greatest this was never enough for him. He longed to leave the colony and explore the space beyond the planet, the books and scrolls he read only gave him a taste of something he wanted to devour.

Being the second son he was not set to inherit his mother’s position of power, rather his older sister was. He was not jealous of this and preferred not having to spend hours studying politics like she did. He felt bad that his sister had to do all this work for a position she was not that interested in, she was a trouble maker through and through and hated wasting time reading instead of having fun, but she still understood the importance of her position and tried hard to make her mother proud.

Closer to the time she was to inherit her mother’s title she came to Tontu in a frenzy, she had done something and got in trouble, enough trouble to have her position as future leader in jeopardy. After confiding with Tontu the two came up with a plan, they were going to sneak in on the next meeting of the leaders to see if they can learn what she can do to fix her mistake and make it up to them.

Using Tontu’s magic the siblings turned invisible and snuck into a meeting where they learned of the destruction of The Ancients by Eclipse Knight and that the universe is now safe for them to travel, but stayed there since they refused to tell the population of this to keep their power.

In their anger the siblings confronted their mother during the meeting. Both their mother and the rest of the leaders were outraged at the two young spies and demanded that they are captured and held prisoner to stop them from releasing the truth.

With the help of his sister Tontu was able to escape but she was taken and now off world for the first time knew he couldn’t leave her behind but did not have enough power to save her himself.

He needed someone with power to help him, someone like Eclipse Knight.

The Ends Justify the Means

Among the vastness of the world beyond Taphino, Tontu would meet the strangest creatures and people, he was not used to seeing other species outside of the Kabii and would find joy in the diversity of the universe.

Kabii were viewed as an older and wise species that was nearing extinction and thus others believed Tontu to be a wise scholar of magic thanks to his highly advanced knowledge. Tontu would use this perception of him to gain insight about the world and would soon find a friend in a strange creature named Chorus, who was curious in learning magic from him. he would tell her of Eclipse Knight and his power as a being of awe, neither fully understanding his hate and true fury.

Together they discovered the first peice of the Equinox key, a part of the artifact that was sealing Eclipse Knight away. The duo believed this to be a sign and searched for the rest of the artifact but were struck down by a mysterious force and found themselves crash landing on planet Popstar. Together they both convinced four of the residents there to help them find the rest. Chorus told them that Eclipse Knight was a Mighty warrior that was trapped and they want to free them to help protect the galaxy from evil. Although Tontu agreed with her he had his own darker reasons for freeing Eclipse Knight. His power would be able to destroy the leaders that captured his sister, he hated them with his whole being and wanted them to know his suffering.

He manipulated the kind people of Popstar to realease Eclipse Knight, he didn’t care how he did it, as long as he got there then it would all be worth it.

Fuck it, random Magolor hcs because I am so normal about him

(most of these are about Magolor being a stupid cat)

-My hc about Magolor is that he was part of the Jambastion mages and trained under them, but was cast out for having "dangerous" magic. He ran away by stealing the Lor Starcutter, and heard stories about the Master Crown. Different texts and books about the Master Crown tried to corrupt his mind and made him obsessed with it. He fought Landia for it, and lost, and well, the rest is history.

-He still gets nightmares about the Master Crown still, he's afraid of the dark and sharp things like blades, always gets uneasy when he sees Kirby use his Sword ability (but he won’t admit it)

-goes CRAZY over yarn balls, just throw one against a wall if he's annoying you and watch him POUNCE at it and get all tangled in the strings (He wouldn't be able to get himselff out either) he also goes crazy for feather toys and laser pointers

-Will purr and knead on you if he feels particularly clingy

-I also think he likes fish cause he's a cat, his favorite food is sushi

-scared of water, freaks out and starts hissing when he even the slightest bit of water on his fur

-He's not the best cook per say, but he likes making sweet treats, things like caramel/chocolate popcorn, cotton candies and stuff like that to sell to his guests at Merry Magoland (Kirby especially loves them!)

-Can't be organized for shit, he only really cleans the main part of the Lor Starcutter to look good for other people and then the bottom floor is just an attic where he chucks his random shit and never clean it out like its the Narnia close
