I've been struggling with reproductive/fertility problems. I generally have a rule where I do not do readings on myself because it can sometimes cause anxiety and you aren't always the best person to do your own readings. Out of frustration and desperation, I decided to read my own cards.
I did my first spread and read them. Not only did it not involve the question at hand in any way, it pointed me to a bunch of other possible problems. This is when I broke my other rule that I have for myself: never ask the same question more than once in a sitting.
I pulled multiple spreads, each one giving me confusing, stressful, and paranoid answers. I kept pulling cards with similar, negative messages of relationship struggles, along with reoccurring suggestions like "concentrate", "rethink your priorities", "now is not the best time to make decisions", "try not to dwell on the past", "you may experience difficulties soon", "a period of hardship brings new opportunities"
I gave up at one point, stressed from the negative answers. Eventually I took an anxiety pill. It wasn't until I calmed down, that I realized that the deck was trying to communicate something that I wasn't hearing. The negative, frightening messages were a reflection of my own paranoid insecurities. The reoccurring suggestions were the deck screaming at me to put it down until I could concentrate, clear my mind, and calm down. My wack emotions were grossly interfering with my ability to work with the deck and properly read them. Tarot decks are funny like that. They tend to mirror the person wielding them. The deck is only as good as the reader, and if the reader is putting off crazy negative vibes, the cards will only have that to go off of.
When I was finally calm enough, I redid the spread. It gave me a normal, straightforward reading about the subject I had asked about. It was that easy.

They is valid
One hardly dares to say, nowadays, that two beings fell in love because they looked at each other. That is the way people do fall in love, nevertheless, and the only way.

Stewed Pompion (Squash soup)
This recipe is a bit more labor intensive than others I’ve posted but it was well worth it in the end and will absolutely make you feel like a medieval maid toiling away over a steaming cauldron (slow cooker).
One of the earliest recipes from the New England region, first written down around 1600:
“But the Housewives manner is to slice them when ripe, and cut them into dice, and so fill a pot with them of two or three gallons, and stew them upon a gentle fire a whole day, and as they sink, they fill again with fresh Pompions, not putting any liquor to them; and when it is stew'd enough, it will look like bak'd apples; this they Dish, putting Butter to it, and a little Vinegar, (with some Spice, as Ginger, &c.) which makes it tart like an Apple, and so serve it up to be eaten with Fish or Flesh.”
Ingredients:
• 4 cups butternut squash meat, chopped into smallish cubes
• 4 cups vegetable broth
• 4 tbsp butter
• 3 tbsp raw or brown sugar
• 1 tsp ground ginger
• 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp curry powder
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
• In a mortar and pestle: 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1/4 tsp cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp rosemary, 1/2 tsp basil, 1/2 tsp salt, a few peppercorns and grind to powder
Part one: Place all of the above ingredients into your slow cooker on low/medium. Once that is going, start on part two.
Ingredients continued:
• 1 tbsp EVOO
• 1 small sweet onion, diced
• 2 carrots, chopped (about 1 cup)
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
Part two:
In a skillet heat oil and sauté onion until it is becoming translucent. Add the carrots and cook 3 minutes, add garlic and stir for about a minute or two.
Add this to the slow cooker.
Now you can pretty much leave it for the day, begin this process early so it will be ready by dinner time. Give it about 8 hours on low/medium then carefully blend until smooth using an immersion blender or by carefully ladling it into a regular blender.
Return to slow cooker and add 1/4 cup of cream (or half and half for a lighter version), salt and pepper to taste.
Thin with vegetable broth if it becomes too thick.
Vegan substitutions: Swap in vegan butter for butter and canned coconut milk for the cream.

How the Major Arcana brings about the winds of change in your life..
I have my own deck of cards but can't find to connect to the meanings I read in the books and I get frustrated quickly when I try to come up with my own meanings or when I try to find meanings that "feel" fitting to me. Do you have any advice on how to do this? I really want to practice reading but I am stuck on this problem for what feels like forever
Tarot is the most popular form of divination today, so some may be feeling pressured to join the trend. But the truth is… tarot is not for everyone.
To be a good tarot reader, you have to learn the cards’ meanings. There is no other way around it. But the fact that you are frustrated by the journey could be a sign that it is not your calling.
It does not mean divination itself is not for you. But maybe you are trying your hand at the wrong system?
1) Lenormand
A deck has 36 cards compared to tarot’s 78. It has no reversals, so that becomes 36 against 156. It is very straightforward. Tarot’s communication card is called the Eight of Wands. In Lenormand, it’s called Letter. With tarot, you need a rich vocabulary. With Lenormand, a couple of keywords for each are enough. Here is a glimpse of what it can do for you.
2) Runes
A rune set is made up of 24 pieces compared to tarot’s 78. It does have reversals, so that becomes 48 against 156. Still two-thirds less to memorize. While Lenormand is more literal than tarot, runes are just as profound. Lenormand is great for prediction, but runes are better for reflection.
3) Charms
A modern form of cleromancy (the casting of lots), charmcasting does not require you to learn meanings outside of your own. If a butterfly reminds you of happiness, then that is the only valid meaning of that charm. You may buy a set, or collect individual pieces yourself.
4) Gypsy Cards
“Gypsy Oracle Cards” is an English version of Italy’s leading system of cartomancy, Vera Sibilla Italiana. Even more literal than Lenormand, this 52-piece deck has cards called Enemy, Lover, Friend, Sorrow and Hope. You may opt to not read any book at all. Just let your intuition expand the card’s names into your own meanings.
5) Scrying
Through a crystal ball, a black mirror, a black bowl or even nothing at all, scrying allows you to see into the past, present and future using only your faith and intuition. Answers to questions will come to you as visions, sounds and feelings. A very personal form of divination, it is best used on oneself.
6) Oracle Cards
Every oracle deck is unique. The card count is normally between 40 and 50. Choose from many themes: angels, goddesses, faeries, animals… the list is endless. An oracle card usually has a word and an associated image. While it comes with a little white book, you can create your own meanings. Here is more on what they can do.
If, however, you would still prefer tarot, I recommend dedicating a day to give this a try. I cannot think of a simpler way to learn.
All the best. 🌹
One of my favorite ways to cleanse small objects is to submerge them in an herb bath and leave them overnight.
Ingredients:
Dried lavender buds
Dried lemon peels
Dried lime peels
Dried peppermint
Dried sage / thyme / or rosemary
Sandalwood incense ash
Sea Salt
Instructions:
Combine ingredients - you may grind them up or leave as is
Add to small bowl, plate, or dish
Bury the item you wish to cleanse in this mixture
Leave overnight
Retrieve the item the next day
Phases of the moon
I did eventually learn what to do with my hands in prayer.
Ouranic gods: hands up (raise the roof)
Oceanic gods: arms outstretched in front of you
Chthonic gods: hands down. You are also welcome to throw yourself on the ground and be an entire mess.

I made more printables!! In this case, it is a Spell Worksheet set. In most cases, it is best if, when making spells, you take your time and think them out. For each item or step included, you must think, why? Once the spell is done and you receive results, it is equally if not more important to reflect on them. This is one of the best ways you can learn what works and doesn’t work, thus, helping your growth as a witch.

oh god I had a really big epiphany about love and personhood but I’m too drunk for words. hold on I’m gonna paint it.
You want to know if you will enjoy your new job. You pull The Devil card. Many will tell you that is a no, because The Devil is a bad card.
But The Devil represents deep passion. Aren’t the happiest employees the ones who are deeply passionate about their job?
You want to know if your health will improve. You pull the Death card. Many will say that is a no, because Death is a scary card.
But Death represents absolute transformation. So if your health is in a terrible state, Death means it will transition to a pleasant one.
You want to know if your husband will be faithful to you. You pull the Three of Cups. Many will tell you that is a yes, because the Three of Cups is a card of happiness.
But there are three people in the Three of Cups. Having an extra person in a marriage isn’t exactly a sign of faithfulness, is it?
No card in tarot is designed to be condemned as a yes or a no. Any card can be a yes, just as any card can be a no. It depends on every individual question and the intricacies of a situation.
Shortcuts will not make you wise. More often than not, they are dead-ends in disguise.

As much as I love doing tarot readings for my followers and being able to help them gain clarity and perspective on a situation...please do not take advantage of me when I offer to do free readings! Please don’t ask me question after question. It takes time and drains my energy to consult my cards and tires me after every reading. Not to mention, it takes away from my other followers who ask for single readings. I am not a therapist and I can’t really help you beyond what I read from the cards. I absolutely hate to say no to people who are in need. I love to help and that’s why I do these but I also have a life and a stressful job. It’s not okay to keep demanding readings from someone especially when they’re doing it to you as a favor. Just please be mindful of that for future readings anyone does for you (:
