His lips are parted slightly, his eyes are half-lidded and he has a dangerous look to him. A streak of liquid (it's blood) in cyan blue marks a line over his nose and cheek. In the background a body can barely be seen slumped behind Anhelo. The same blue liquid is pooling on the floor. A large streak of the liquid is splashed over the back wall, which is made of mirrors. In the mirror a hand can be seen opening a door. Light streams into the room and over Anhelo, except for the cut-out shadow of the unfortunate person opening the door, standing in the place the viewer is "standing". The room is decorated in green and gold, pot plants are placed in front of the mirror wall and on the pillars framing the door. In contrast to the background Anhelo is painted in red and blue tones, clearly a intruder.

Another Magic drawing! Hello MtG fandom, I'm afraid I'm here to stay. But honestly, if nobody else wants to draw my special murderous boy I just have to do it myself.

drawing digital drawing cw: blood finished magic the gathering mtg cw murder anhelo the painter anhelo new capenna at least it's implied this happened bc i took this super cool reference picture for the xanhelo drawing but couldn't use it there and then it turned into background practice i'm pretty happy with this! a lot of thought went into this drawing but i'm not going to spell things out there's also a crude joke to be made in there but i also won't spell that out his jacket collar is down and he wears no steel collar bc originally i wanted to have blood on his throat and then i just kept it like that ... i hope it's fine to put this in the mtg tag?? tbh i feel a little out of place in the mtg fandom like mtg is so huge and i feel like i'm sitting in a tiny bubble i'm used to liking highly specific characters and things in media that most people don't care about but this feels a bit extreme but it IS part of mtg so i hope it's fine?? it's not my fault i got stuck in new capenna and kamigawa :(

Digital illustration of Lord Xander and Anhelo from the Magic the Gathering story for the Streets of New Capenna set. Anhelo stands on a pedestal (not depicted) in front of Lord Xander, facing ahead but eyes looking down towards Xander's. His lips are slightly parted, as if speaking softly. Lord Xander stands close to him, face almost in Anhelo's. He's busy putting a new steel shirt collar on Anhelo with an expression that is serious but slightly amused, eyes focused on his work. The picture is framed to focus on their faces and Anhelo's neck, and cuts at chest-height. The scene is bathed in a silver light, putting pink accents on everything the light touches.

So, I just had to draw that one scene in the Streets of New Capenna story. And then I figured I can put it in my deck as well, bc why tf not.

I love drawing things for my core target audience (me).
