’why don’t you just talk to an adult-’ my parents still call me their daughter and this is after coming out/telling them my preferred pronouns are not she/her and telling them how shitty dysphoria me feel, my ex-therapist told me i was lacking in empathy and asked me to ‘just shelve’ any looking into adhd and said after i came out how i was ‘considering lesbianism’. I’ll talk to my similarly queer friends who have checked with me what nicknames make me feel dysphoric, who when i asked about adhd told me ‘yeah you are’ (correct btw) and who i feel safe talking too. Hope this clarifies!
