Most of my art is digital for cost and convenience, but my favorite medium is paint. I usually use acrylic paint because I have not yet mastered watercolor and I don't have any other kind of paint.

1: What is your favorite color to work with?

Grey! I absolutely love greyscale stuff and enjoy making works with limited colours (quite literally in this case) in chase of that sweet, sweet feeling of ease you get from freeing yourself from the hell that is colour choice in order to focus on value and form directly. A lot of my stuff’s usually just a couple of saturated hues against a sea of white and/or black. Can’t mess up a colour when there is no colour!

But that’s a bit of a boring answer…

I also love blue! Specifically, imperial blue—that sea colour. You could probably tell by how much I draw space agency coveralls, haha.

In fact, I don’t think I recall ever having used reds and oranges in an atmospheric way. Even my “warm” colours—against all odds—always end up looking cool thanks to how much I love drowning things out with grey.

2: Who is your favourite character to draw?

I’m tempted to say “my JWST personification” but the champion for the title is surprisingly split between multiple characters!

I like doodling Webb because they’re easy to draw and have that certified funky fresh look but I also draw Sputnik and Explorer a lot and have tonnes of unposted traditional doodles that mainly focus on a select few OCs. I suppose it’s just hard to choose since my brain enjoys bouncing all over the place.

Whenever I listen to tunes I’m always either walking or drawing, the overlap is huge. I go limp and get dragged wherever the algorithm takes me—just look at my disaster of a YT music wrap.

He's a peculiar foreigner from a place far away who likes to smoke pipes that smell of nutmeg. Strange things tend to happen in his immediate vicinity and every time you see him he always has a different suitcase. Currently, he's writing a dissertation on human culture.

A for Alejandro Ahn Féahinne (and his bird)!

He's an aloof and mysterious bounty hunter/magician from what is essentially a fictional version of Spain in the 1800s who specialises in eliminating powerful individuals and supernatural entities, hire him if you want a job done but don't mind collateral damage!

Alejandro was found abandoned outside a church as a baby and was raised at the site's orphanage. It's likely that one of his parents was some sort of spirit since he developed an unnaturally high affinity towards magic, had the power to communicate with animals, and could survive way longer without food or water than any human (discovered that last one after getting trapped in an empty well for almost 2 weeks as a kid). Due to his harsh upbringing, he resented most people and things, decided that he was just going to beat stuff up for a living one day and subsequently became a bounty hunter, and a really good one at that! He took down previously untouchable targets and made a name for himself in mere months.

He obtained his bird companion, Tuie, after ransacking an illegal exotic goods market and now they're basically inseparable, she's scarily intelligent and knows how to pick locks and bites on command.

She originated as part of a series of throwaway designs I whipped up from Artbreeder images generated by an old friend (@uwunium on Twitter), nevertheless, she has a special place in my heart.

Charlie's your typical run-of-the-mill rebellious teen; she loves soft drinks, skating, indie music, and being an overall smug menace at school. She also happens to be one of three kids adopted by an exiled demon overlord who, after getting dethroned, was cast away to spend eternity in Detroit, Michigan. The shelves (and red hair) are hereditary and she sees from the gemstones embedded in the drawer handles, she often uses this "ability" to sneak snacks into the cinemas amongst other mundane things. She also owns a bearded dragon named Skullcrusherninethousand who she begged her demon dad to get.

Well, this is an interesting question for Alex because, from what I recall, there are only six named characters beside him in Shallow Grave. The few other characters he interacted with are nameless and/or have no speaking lines. Plus, I don't think I actually ship Alex with anyone. So, I guess I'll say Cameron. He seems really sweet and maybe they could make up and start over.
