A couple of weeks ago, I had an incident where I was openly invalidated and shamed for being closeted by two people I trusted. As someone who has struggled with internalized homophobia in my youth from my environment growing up and is still closeted to my loved ones, this situation has weighed heavy on me.

Yet, these past two Harry Styles shows, I felt the courage (alongside my friend) to display my identity in the most public of ways by waving a bi flag. The first night, I was overwhelmed with all the love and support from everyone who saw our flag draped over the balcony— both in-person and in photos/videos/livestreams. The second night, we were able to be in the pod next to the catwalk, and wave our flag during Lights Up where Harry looked directly at us. He didn’t interact with it, but just knowing he saw it— he saw me with such a big part of me grasped tightly in my hand, it felt unreal. I’m so fortunate for Harry and the space he’s given me for years to be myself and to love myself when I feel otherwise, because I don’t think I would’ve been as comfortable or as free as I did these past two nights with that flag if it hadn’t been for him and this special space he’s created. I cant thank him and my friend enough for allowing me to be myself during such a rough time. Just happy. Yeah ✨🤍

I was having fun looking up what anime character’s names mean but this one just made me sad.

And now his alliance with martyn has betrayed him, the person he trusted the most stabbed him in the back.

And it wasn’t even a kill for time, martyn was given the option of a fair fight between him and Scott and even then that wasn’t enough. Martyn didn’t respect him enough to give Scott a fair fight.

Scott trusted him, and in the end it didn’t matter. Nothing matters. He’s always viewed as less than, a sacrifice. useful right now but just as easily discarded. The kind and generous soul that gives everything he can, even to those who don’t deserve it.

Something about how most of the times Scott has died was to give someone else time (I think)

Something about Scott feeling like a rug from everybody using him for his time, only seeing value in himself when someone needs it from him

Something about him literally making a game show out of it to make it feel less de-humanizing

Something about scott only asking for love in return (like from Jimmy), only to be met with silence and a stab in the back

Something about that being Scott’s breaking point, and him deciding that he’s done giving others his life, instead choosing to take it himself.

I revisited an AMV from a handful of years ago, and saw the creator make a comment like ‘Sasuke is so stupid he just keeps believing anything people say to him’ concerning like how he feel in with both Orochimaru and Madara, and just---

Cause in both instances, his insecurities and fears and trauma were preyed on in order to manipulate him. With Orochimaru, all he had to do was cause his trauma to resurface and be like ‘remember when you were too weak to save your family? I can change that and help you find peace’ and coupled with that encounter with Itachi, Sasuke was in the palm of his hand. With Madara -- if anything, Sasuke believing Madara was far from a stupid move.

Cause not only is this another Uchiha, but this is an Uchiha who comes carrying history and information that Sasuke never knew about. And he tried to shut him down by saying he was lying, but he literally provided all the context to tell him that what he was saying about the genocide and Itachi was the truth. With, effectively, shattered his world and led him into his ‘infamous’ mental breakdown.

Sasuke is far from stupid. It’s just that when it comes to his trauma, tied in with his family and the clan in general, it’s easy to sway his judgement and then manipulate him. There’s a reason Itachi said he was a ‘blank canvas’ that people keep trying to paint in their colors. We won’t mention how he was doing the same thing, but--

To answer your question- my first thought was immediately that Thorne would be a shark mermaid! (and more specifically, a Great White Shark). Making her one of the ocean's notable hunters seemed fitting.

There's not a whole lot of species specific notes for the design itself to be made- her tail moves side to side like most non-mammal aquatic creatures, and is countershaded (not seen here but the dark coloring stretches across her back and starts fading just as it gets to her neck). I don't know if the gills should logically be on her neck instead, but I really, really love torso/chest gills. And ofc she got the teeth and a big ol dorsal fin on her back.

She still gets into a lot of fights and trouble as a mermaid, so her tail is covered in additional scars. How many of these are from humans/fellow mermaids and how many are from sea creatures? idk lol. I just know the sharp teeth definitely make her more of a menace.

But ye that's about it. Thanks a whole lot for the ask @rainbowprisimatic!! <3 It was super fun getting to draw Thorne as a mermaid lol.

Another redraw of my old art. This one got quite a few upgrades/added details as opposed to my usual redraws.

The concept behind the character design was the whole "Snow White's description makes her sound like a vampire" thing (though instead of making Snow White a vampire, I made a vampire based on Snow White). Skin as white as snow, lips as red as roses, ebony black hair- you get the idea.
