The Hunger Games: Katniss Everdeen
Myers Briggs: ISTJ
Si: Katniss is very focused on the past. She has a detailed internal map of past memories she relies on and uses that to hunt for food in the wilderness, and later to survive the Hunger Games. She is good at recalling stories of her life down to the smallest detail. Her life experiences are very important to her and shape how she views everything in the world.
Te: Katniss is efficient and practical. She is resourceful while hunting and good at using reasoning to figure out what Haymitch wants, which is why she is able to survive the Hunger Games. Whenever Katniss comes across a problem, she uses her auxiliary Te to find the solution. She is good at thinking through problems, and figuring out the logical course of action whenever something doesn’t go as planned.
Fi: Katniss has a strong sense of right and wrong, despite wanting nothing to do with the revolution in the beginning. She goes from believing nothing will ever change to realizing that she needs to do what she can to help the people of Panem. Her Fi develops more as the trilogy progresses, causing her to stand up for what she believes in more and make a difference. Katniss also holds few people close to her heart, especially Prim. She is more focused on having meaningful connections with a few people than making people like her.
Ne: Katniss is focused on the way things already are, not what could be. She initially believes that Panem will just always be unjust, until Gale convinces her that she needs to step up and help the people of Panem. At this point, she begins to realize there is hope for the future, and becomes a catalyst for change.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes: Coriolanus Snow: INTJ 3w2
Myers Briggs: INTJ
Ni: Coriolanus is very intuitive about people and the world around him. He sees underlying patterns in the behavior of others that other people miss. He is a good strategist and an analytical thinker. He has a vision for his future and where his life is supposed to be headed.
Te: He is efficient and practical. He sees external structures as important and believes the world would be chaos without them. He believes in the Hunger Games because he believes they bring order to Panem and prevent another war from taking place. He is an analytical problem solver, and even kills Mayfair in order to preserve his future, seeing her death as a means that is justifiable by the end he desires. He is a creative problem solver and cheats to win the Games after he realizes that they intend to release the snakes in the arena.
Fi: Coriolanus feels a strong connection to Lucy Gray and Tigris. He pretends to like the other students at his school only to get ahead and holds few relationships close to his heart. He feels a strong connection to his mother, although he does not remember her too well.
Se: Coriolanus does not live in the present, but focuses primarily on the future. He acts best when he has a plan in mind, and is very future oriented. When his future is in jeopardy, he impulsively acts to achieve his vision, by cheating in the games and by killing Mayfair when she threatens to expose him for his meeting with the rebels. His Se is immature compared to his other functions, and he doesn’t use it very often.
Enneagram: 3w2
Coriolanus is very focused on becoming a success and restoring the Snow legacy. He cares only about being successful and will sacrifice anything in order to achieve his goals. Coriolanus is also very charming and knows how to make people like him in order to ensure his future as a success. He also shows his 2 wing by taking care of Lucy Gray. He brings her food before she goes into the arena to get her to like him, but also because he feels bad for her. He also makes sure that she’s doing okay.
The Hunger Games: Finnick Odair: ESFP 3w2
Myers Briggs: ESFP
Se: Finnick is a skilled fighter who can assess situations in the moment quickly and with ease. He is very adaptable and present. He is athletic, follows his impulses and good at trusting his instincts. He doesn’t focus too much on the future, preferring to live in the present.
Fi: Finnick is very charming and friendly, but he has few that he holds close to his heart, such as Annie and Johanna. Finnick has a strong sense of right and wrong and that’s why he becomes involved in the revolution. He was willing to die to protect Katniss, like the other tributes who were involved in the rebellion. He is willing to die for what he believes in.
Te: Finnick is efficient and pragmatic. He is logical and a good problem solver. Tying knots helps calm him because it is an external task that helps distract him from his fears. He is good with logic and quick to point out flaws in other’s reasoning.
Ni: Finnick is intuitive and capable of understanding complex strategies. He is not as focused on the future, but he sometimes thinks about the future and the bad things that could happen due to having Ni lower in his functional stack. Finnick is very intelligent and good at understanding his enemies’ motivations.
Enneagram: 3w2
Finnick is charming and knows how to make people like him. He wins the Games at 14 because he knows how to charm the citizens in the Capitol into liking him. Finnick is also caring and helpful to his friends and loved ones. He knows how to manipulate the people of the Capitol into telling him their secrets or sponsoring him in the Hunger Games.
all I’ve been hearing since tbosas came out is “Sejanus reminds me of prim” or “Prim and Sejanus are the same!” BUT THATS SO NOT TRUE!!
For me it’s Johanna who reminds me of Sejanus.
Sejanus and Johanna are one in the same. They aren’t scared to say what they want and aren’t scared to get physical to get their point across. In the 75th games when Johanna cussed out the Capitol in her interview she didn’t care about the backlash because she knew people out there agreed. She also knew there was nothing the capitol could do to her because there is no bigger punishment then the games. That’s like when Sejanus threw the chair and called everyone monsters because it was the truth or when he spoke out in class about how wrong it was. And what would the capitol do against him? His dad would just pay them to make it go away and keep Sejanus safe. The Capitol couldn’t touch them. What’s ironic is that in the end it’s not the Capitol that screws them over it’s President Snow.
Snow pressed record on the jabber jays, took advantage of Sejanus and in the end Sejanus died. For Johanna Snow promised her a comfortable life. No more games no more interviews no more killing people. But then just because he couldn’t let Katniss and Peeta be happy he dragged her back into it and then tortured her and shaved her head.
But with Prim she wouldn’t have done anything or said anything about the games and how wrong they were if Katniss didn’t join the rebellion. Before that she hadnt voiced her opinions on the games or gotten physical to prove her points the way Johanna and Sejanus do.
idk if I’m going crazy but I appreciate thoughts and opinions
Katniss Everdeen x GN!reader
Warnings: swearing (only once), mentions of killing, and death, fluff?, angst if you squint, (I think that’s it?), first fic, comfort
Summary: Katniss awakes from yet another nightmare about the upcoming 75th quarter quell Hunger Games to you, another victor, who just so happens to have attraction to Katniss, who comforts her and grounds her back to the world around her. Maybe you’re not as bad as she thinks.

Keep running.
That’s all Katniss could think about while being chased by Cato and his posse, including Peeta. If she stopped now she would’ve fallen victim to them, becoming prey to the predator. Her heart was beating in her chest,
‘Katniss..’
She heard them call her name but she didn’t listen. Her panic continued to rise,
‘Katniss..!’
The sound of her name being called became louder, and louder. It didn’t sound like it was coming from behind her any more, but instead, all around her. ‘Where was it coming from?’
’Katniss!’
Katniss jolted up right, her eyes blinking rapidly, still adjusting to her surroundings. Everything looked how she left it, except there was something different. You, (Y/N) (L/N), victor of District 5, leaning over her, sitting on the edge of her bed, with your hands on her shoulders and your face displaying a worried expression. ‘Why were you here? Were you worried for her?’, she thought. Her voice, hoarse and raspy from just waking up, a bead of sweat sliding down her forehead from the previous nightmare, she couldn’t help but ask. “Why are you here?”, she asked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sat in the unfamiliar bed, spread out on your back, looking up at the ceiling. You checked the clock for the 7th time in the past 30 minutes. 1:18 AM. You couldn’t sleep. You’re were too distracted from your thoughts of Katniss, and the 75th quarter quell, that your name just had to be drawn for. And it wasn’t helping that you weren’t in your own space. Not to mention, no one’s attempts to stop the games had worked so far, and you knew none of them would. In a little less than 48 hours, the 24 victors names drawn from the 12 districts would have to fight to the death. Again. Even though you’ve already won, you had to come back and do it all again. You knew you probably weren’t going to survive it this time, since you barely survived your own game years back. Your mind went back to Katniss. You’ve shamed yourself for having any feelings towards her, knowing she’s Peetas. You hated how you were plagued with the concerns of her safety during the upcoming quarter quell. You knew she was strong and didn’t need a protecter, knowing that Peeta would take that position anyhow. Damn this silly crush.
In fact, you were most likely going to be taken out by your own district partner. Hence, leaving you in your situation of having to sleep in Distract 12’s extra room, which was connected to the other victors from 12’s rooms. You see, the other victor from District 5, tried to go ahead and kill you at dinner with a steak knife, having snapped at the current situation with strong emotions towards the quarter quell. Now that you think about it, maybe that was another attempt to stop the games. But they decided to separate you both until the actual game, like trying to delay your time of death so they can wait to enjoy it on their flat screen. Sick people they are. You were pulled from your thoughts by the sound of thrashing and heavy breathing coming from one of the other rooms. Small groans and whimpers could be heard as well.
You, being curious, decided to check on whoever it was. You left the room you were staying in and listened to where the sound was coming from. You walked to the entrance of the room that was emitting the strange noises, your hand slowly twisting the handle. Peaking in, you see Katniss, thrashing on her bed, and soaked in sweat. You were going to leave but something in you was pulling in, urging you to do something. You couldn’t just leave her there, suffering. Besides, it’s not like your feelings towards her would have let you do that anyway. Having nightmares of your own before, you felt a need to comfort her. Walking over to the side of her bed, you start to slowly shake her, picking up the speed after she doesn’t wake up, and calling her name as you continue your attempts to wake her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You explained everything, keeping a hand on her shoulder, as a way of grounding her. “But why would you do that for me?”, Katniss asked, looking for a clearer reason. “I guess I understood what you were going through. When I saw you laying there, I had the urge to help you. Would you rather me walk away and leave you to your nightmare?”, you said, a small smile covering your face, with a hint of smugness in your tone. With a swift shake of her head, Katniss adjusted her position in her bed, fully sitting up now, while forcing her lips to not turn upward at your comment.
The tension in the air was thick, yet you couldn’t understand why. You could feel it, and you knew she could as well. Feeling awkward, you give her one last reassuring squeeze on the shoulder and get up, walking back to the entrance of her room, Katniss’s eyes watching you with every step you took. Putting your hand on the door knob, you turn around, a sleepy smile on your face, and you say, “Goodnight Katniss. Sleep well.” With her eyes already on you, her own lips curl into a small smile, finding yours contagious. “You too, (Y/N).”, she replies. You turn around stepping out of the room about to close the door. “Wait, (Y/N)!”, Katniss calls out. You turn around once again facing her, your hand still on the door knob. “Yeah?”
“Thank you.. You know, for waking me up.”
“Of course.” You mumble something under your breath, after she lays back down, waiting to fall back asleep.
“anything for you.”
catching fire, chapter three:
reading this like ohhhhhh don’t worry katniss you’ll get to go swimming soon enough
The hunger games sketch
i was so confused when lucy gray actually ran from snow and for a split second i was hoping she'd come back even tho i knew how terrible of a person he was and it just made me realise how brainwashed we are and used to girls in romance books/movies always ignoring all the red flags and almost willingly getting manipulated. and i know i'd be real mad if she didn't run— i'd be disappointed but (unfortunately) not surprised and yet for a split second i got mad and disappointed when she did run too. i guess what i'm trying to say is we really should normalise RUNNING and quite literally disappearing in the woods when a man is being sus no matter how hot he is. in this essay i will—
it just hits me out of nowhere sometimes how it all started with Prim and for Katniss it all ended with Prim. Katniss' depression after the war is forever buried somewhere at the back of my mind, truly all for nothing at all.
What about a Finnick Odair / Reader in a modern world where there’s no hunger games. What do you think they’re dynamic would be like
you take your eyes off the water, only to be met with the same blue, crashing and pulling in his eyes. the tanned skin around the corners of the distinct aquamarine hue crinkles as a result of his toothy grin, and he holds up a porcelain white conch to your ear, beckoning you to listen to the idle chatters of the sea. you laugh and comply, leaning into it to immerse yourself in the sound.
you could only describe finnick as whimsical in moments like these.
after an afternoon of surfing (or ‘taming the waters’ as he likes to call it), he prefers to end your day at the beach in a way he knows would get a laugh out of you in order to end it perfectly. because that’s what his perfect day consists of; you, and the sea.
you try to focus on the conch pressed up to your ear, but the way the setting sun shines on him is so magnificent, it’s almost cinematic. his hair is messy and coarse from the saltwater, and so prettily hangs along his forehead. a piercing dangles from his right ear, the gold pleated material complimenting the matching skin it’s against so well, differentiated only by the meticulously arranged freckles adorning him.
you continue to stare into his eyes as your body currently believed that sight is more important than sound, and each inch of him you admire leads you to believe he must’ve been a merman in a past life. maybe this one, too. he’s full of surprises.
finnick pulls the conch back and slightly raises an eyebrow, smile never faltering, taking you in just as much as you’ve been very obviously doing to him.
“so? amazing, right?” he asks, bringing his other hand out to tuck a sandy strand behind your ear, letting it linger.
you take a second to respond, still so entranced and too in love, completely blanking on the fact that his question was directed towards the songs of the water that he wanted to share, and not himself.
“beautiful… so, so beautiful.”
finnick chortles at your answer and proceeds to do what he does best, diving in to plant an energetic, yet soft kiss on your lips.
“come on, ariel.” you say as you break the kiss a few seconds in. “we’ve got to meet johanna for ice cream in an hour. race you home?”
currently no creative juices flowing.
