Suuuper late in posting this but had to draw this for this year's Chinese New Year!!
A last minute Lunar New Year sketch for the start of the year of the rabbit.
- 2/16/2018 Drawing yesterday was a journey. I started drawing dogs cause Chinese New Year but then remembered Dungeon Meshi's kobolds and wanted to draw them but got distracted and just started redrawing art from it. Then I drew people I saw in line for black panther.

Recently I was asked the question of what I’m planning to do next after I finish all 12 zodiacs. Honestly, I’m that Plankton meme: I don’t know, I didn’t think I’d get this far 🥲
I remember I first got inspired by @feliciachiao with their beautiful zodiac art, artists inspiring artists, and decided to paint my own. So who knows! Maybe years from now, something will tickle my fancy and motivate me to start in that moment.

I will be honest. I was not looking forward to drawing this zodiac animal for a long time because I get overwhelmed with drawing details 🥲 But my goal this year is to overcome more obstacles, so here I am!! I have finished. And it turned out way better than I imagined.

I've actually been wanting to revisit the Rabbit painting. Looking at my other zodiac animals, I'd prefer to have them all look the same style and aesthetic, so I cleaned up the rabbit without spots and swirls.
What are your thoughts? Do you prefer the old design or this new design? Also, any plans for the upcoming CNY? 😄

erm today was literally crazy tho idk what happened I woke up so late and had to rush so much
im so excited to eat yummy food
i saw the teeniest hummingbird just now anyone know what species this is?? it was so small it could fit in my palm and it flew by really fast, oh this was in California bay area btw, the green part was iridescent that's what that shine is lol
never seen this before thats why im asking usually I see the green and pink one, it especially caught my eye cuz its neck was SO red like bright scarlet red
also cuz... you dont usually see hummingbirds in winter idk whats up with this lil guy do hummingbirds get lost 😭
im not a zoological artist (or anyone who can draw animals in general ngl) don't judge but it was chubby so that part is intended
