Here’s another AU fanart. I will be honest as a child I never noticed that the characters are without culture but looking back on it it’s very much there XD
If the books were set in actual places where do you think they would be set?
As a child I always thought that the first book was definitely set in the UK but the rest I was never sure. Maybe you could put the mountain in Eastern Europe or Central Asia.
I’m Eastern European so I decided to make some character design for them in vaguely our clothes. It was very fun to draw.
Changing fandoms again. Here’s a Darren Shan fanart. I know they do not have fangs but to me making him look recognisably like a Vampire is important.

Nobody understands the bond between a girl and the mediocre book she read when she was 13 years old.
After spending what feels like a lifetime in my VtM echo chamber, looking at the other vampire media almost feels like blasphemy. You feel lost and confused like a mole crawling out into the sun (pun intended) for the first time. What do you mean, the concept of the Masquerade isn't even present most of the time? What do you mean, you don't have to wait patiently for about 20-30 years and then ask your local authorities permission to Embrace somebody?? Wait, there are no limits to siring??! And the sun might not even kill you??!?!
After rewatching the Darren Shan (Vampire's Assistant, 2009) movie, because what a fever dream it was, I can only say that – from an outsider's perspective, that is, I'm absolutely unfamiliar with the lore and the books – the ritual of Vampaneze blooding looks awfully like the Sabbat Vaulderie 🫢
