She hummed happily with an idea, getting her own phone out and opening the camera app. She shifted ever so slightly to stand a little bit more in front of him, but still leaning against him for support.
"Nothing wrong with having more photos!" She agreed with a grin, stretching out her arm to try and get a good angle for a few selfies.
And because she's still feeling rather playful, she tilted her head back some to gently boop him on the nose in one of the photos.

Lily managed to avoid blinking in the photos, though it got close a few times from the urge to giggle at his determination.
When he held the phone within her reach she reached out to help steady it, nodding happily. "Send them to me, please?" She asked, looking up at him and making no attempts to move away.
Sure, photos are hardly perfect, they're even kind of blurry, but it's so him.

Lily couldn’t fight the flush as Xavier went on about all of the little things that make her excited, her pout disappearing completely. Honestly, it made her heart skip a beat in a good way, to know that he paid such close attention to such little things. She really shouldn’t be surprised that he was so observant, but it was touching all the same.
The affectionate train of thought was derailed by the teasing, her cheeks turning even deeper pink in embarrassment as she shifted to lightly elbow him in the side. “Oh, hush.” She ‘scolded’, even as she turned her attention up towards the menu.
Fortunately, she did manage to decide before they made it up front, figuring she’d go with a fruity tea, something on the sweeter side. Once she had finally decided on a drink, she honestly seemed rather proud of herself.
After spending the morning doing research on places in Linkon City that offer milk tea, Lily finally found a place that seemed like it would be a nice place to visit and had the coffee milk tea that Xavier mentioned. Plus it wasn't far from a few good places to eat so they'd have options based on what they were feeling up to without having to go all the way across town. Perfect.
Lily finally sent Xavier a text in the late morning.
'I found a place that has that coffee milk tea you mentioned! And it has really good reviews.'
After a moment of thought, she sent another text as well.
'And thank you for walking me home last night. I really appreciated it. It was nice, looking at the stars with you.'
If not for the sporadic texts, Xavier would still be asleep. Outside the birds that often bickered over his balcony were squawking at a volume loudly. The combination of factors is enough to stir him, just barely. He knows its her before having to unlock his phone.

By the time he gets downstairs, he's already rubbing his eyes again as he knocks on the door.
“Yes, cute.” Lily insisted, regardless of how flustered she still felt. She wasn’t going to try and deny it, after all!
Xavier getting out his phone to take a picture surprised her, but only for a moment. She simply let out a happy laugh and easily settled herself into his side, playfully holding up one hand to give the peace sign.
“I’d have to agree, we do both look pretty cute.” She hummed happily, trying not to be too obvious with how much she was enjoying being so close to him.

Lily hummed happily as she looked around, finding herself reassured that it seemed to be a relatively small store. The fact it's kind of small, with a decent line already despite being relatively new, meant that it must be good!
She looked up to Xavier curiously at his question, then flushing a little. "I don't think I did anything too different?" She admitted, then grinning up at him. "Maybe it's just he excitement of getting to spend the day with you~!" She teased happily.
Her amusement turned to a playful pout at his teasing, sticking her tongue out before looking towards the menu again. "I'm not that bad at deciding..." She mumbled, despite knowing she very much can be, to the point she was deciding last night while she was doing her research. And had yet to fully come to a conclusion...

Lily hummed happily as she nodded, even turning to walk backwards for a little bit so she could face him properly. "Mmhm! And it has good reviews, which is all the more promising."
She faced forward again to ensure that she wouldn't risk running into anyone or tripping over her own feet and making a fool of herself, in public no less. Fortunately she had meant it when she said it wasn't far, just a couple of blocks and a few turns away she checked her phone again, then pointing to a small storefront. "There it is!"

While his concern was appreciated, and extremely sweet, Lily shook her head reassuringly. "You didn't hurt or upset me, don't worry." She reassured "I'm not that tender headed."
She took a moment to debate if she should just go ahead and explain why she's flushed, knowing he's already going to ask if she's okay. Maybe she can throw him off enough to take the focus off of her for a moment?

Lily playfully tilted her phone away from him when she caught him trying to peek, sticking her tongue out at him playfully. "It's a surprise."
She finally started to cross the street once the signal turned, similarly alert but still plenty relaxed. "It's not far, no. I just haven't been there before. It seems to be a pretty new place, so I figured it'd be fun to try it out together." She explained easily, leading the way.

Lily shut her eyes halfway as Xavier reached out to take the hair clip, still wanting to watch his expression as he tried to decide where to place it. It was so cute, watching him focus so hard on something so mundane.
His touch was so gentle, and he was so close, that it took a lot of focus for Lily to not shiver. She didn't want to risk spooking him into thinking he was making her uncomfortable or anything! Far from it, in fact.
When he finally seemed satisfied with the placement, she opens her eyes properly with a few blinks to re-adjust. She leaned down for a moment to grab the mirror again, beaming proudly as she took in it's placement.
"I think it looks wonderful." She reassured, finding herself overwhelmed with the urge to kiss his cheek, which had her own cheeks turning deep red.

Lily's clever, she'd figure it out! Plus the idea motivates her more to try and get strong enough to carry him, whether he's asleep or hurt.
She opted instead to let out a small laugh, letting him move her hands as he pleased. "Only for a moment, to not completely blind ourselves." She hummed, following him to the crosswalk. "Besides, I like a challenge." She teased with a grin.
She did get her phone out though to check her map, humming as she double checked their path, nodding to herself. No getting lost today!

Lily couldn’t help but beam as she watched him process, biting her tongue ever so slightly just to keep herself from breaking into giggles and shaking the mirror.
“You can take it out if you want.” She reassured, the giggles finally bubbling up some. “But I saw this cute little set and thought of you, so I had to get it and share!”
When he called her out for already having put her clip in, she tilted her head slightly in surprise. Does he like the idea that much?
“If you want, you can put it somewhere else for me?” She offered, easily letting him take the mirror from her.

Lily quite honestly hadn’t meant to tease him for falling asleep outside of buildings, not having even realized he’d done so. It’s hardly surprising, considering she’s seen him doze off most anywhere and everywhere, but it had somehow never crossed her mind.
His offer kept her from getting too lost in her concern, her expression softening. “I’ll keep that in mind.” She hummed appreciatively. “And the same to you. If you ever end up too tired, go ahead and call me.” She wants to make sure that he knows he can rely on her too, after all!
Lifting a hand to try and block some of the sun from her eyes, Lily glanced back at Xavier, only to notice him struggling to adjust to the brightness too. So she reached out with her other hand to gently shield his eyes from some of the sun as well, offering him a playful grin in response to his teasing. “I came prepared, don’t worry! It’s my turn to treat you, today!”

Lily hummed her agreement, since she knows full well that caffeine is only good in moderation. She made that mistake once, and that one time was plenty enough warning.
She hummed happily as she headed out with him, thanking him for holding the door for her. The teasing made her cheeks flush pink as she lightly nudged him with her elbow, giving him a playful pout.
"It wasn't that late!" She insisted though there was of course no heat to her fussing. "But you're right that I really shouldn't make it a habit. If that keeps up, it'd be my luck I'd fall asleep just outside the building or something." She snickered, opening the door to the building and holding it for him this time.
"Well, first things first I figure we go to the tea place, then figure out what food we're in the mood for. Then from there, see what we have the energy for?"

Lily lit up when Xavier didn't really question her, giggling as quietly as she could as she gently ran her fingers through his hair, just like she usually does when straightening out his hair.
This time, however, she also adds a cute little star-shaped hair clip to help keep his bangs out of his face.
After a few more moments, she finally spoke again. "Okay, open your eyes."
She had a compact mirror held up so he could see his reflection, having a matching clip in her own hair, on the opposite side as she'd placed his.

Lily still couldn't help being just a little smidgen doubtful that it was his natural alarm clocks that woke him, but she accepted it for now with a small chuckle and nod.
She stepped out of the apartment when he moved for her, locking up behind her before starting towards the elevator. "Well, hopefully the coffee milk tea will help with waking you up." She hummed, tone playful. "And if not we can get some actual coffee or something too." Though, since they're getting food too, she wouldn't be surprised if they end up tired all over again...
Dismissing the thought as a problem to tackle once they get to it, she nodded to the question. "I did, thankfully. I'm a little surprised I didn't manage to sleep through my alarm, honestly." She admitted with a sheepish laugh. "I think that last night's walk with you was exactly what I needed."

Lily couldn't help but laugh to herself when listening to his audio message, shaking her head affectionately. He sounded half asleep still, meaning he must just have been waking up. She almost felt bad for potentially waking him, but well... He shouldn't go sleeping the whole day away either.
She'd opted for a simple pair of black slacks, a tank top, and a jacket just in case the shops are cold. She'd already gone through her morning routine, so once he acknowledged he was awake, she made sure she had her wallet and phone, and waited to hear from him again.
When he knocked she was quick to answer the door, offering him a relaxed smile. Seeing how tired he still looked, her expression became more sympathetic. "Did I wake you up?"

Normally, Lily tries to be fully aware of her surroundings. Working as a Hunter means she shouldn't let her guard down, especially when by herself. Who knows what threats are just waiting for a chance to strike, after all?
Though normally, Lily doesn't have to resort to late night walks to try and clear her mind so that she can sleep.
Suddenly hearing a voice nearby startles her out of her own thoughts, immediately setting her on alert. Her head whipped around towards the source, her posture tense and ready for a fight. Once she finally recognized Xavier, she let out a slow breath that ended in a sheepish laugh.
"Xavier!" She half-greeted, half-scolded.
Once she finally processed his warning, she offered what she hoped came across as a reassuring smile. "I know, I know. But I'm a big girl, I can handle going for a little starlit walk before bed." She teased, running her fingers through her hair in an attempt to calm herself down further so her heart wasn't pounding so hard in her chest.
"What about you? You're out rather late too."
Lily hummed as she considered, tilting her head slightly. "It doesn't sound too terrible, at least? Worth a try at least once." She mused. People put milk in coffee too after all, so it's just whether or not the tea and coffee would work together well that she's not so sure on.
She absently watched the numbers too, leaning against the wall of the elevator. Turning towards him at his request, she gave a reassuring nod. "Of course. Hopefully it'll live up to your expectations." She added playfully, though she meant it too. Food seems to be really important to him, so she doesn't want to choose wrong!
When the elevator dinged to indicate they'd reached her floor, she stretched and stood up properly again, heading to leave. But she paused in the doorway, turning back to him with a small smile. "Thank you again, Xavier, for keeping me company. It was nice."

"That would be nice..." She agreed quietly, covering her mouth to muffle a yawn as she walked into the elevator, selecting their floors. Honestly, she'd be more than happy if her dreams were just an extension of their time together this evening, to enjoy his company. Though, that's a thought she'll keep to herself for the time being.
"Let me know what you decide, and I'll see where we can go for it." She offered, giving him a soft smile. "We might as well get something to eat while we're at it, too." She mused.

It didn't take long for her to start giggling, moving her free hand to cup her own cheek in hopes of cooling off some. "I'd say that means I lost, since I didn't ask a question for you to answer? So I owe you milk tea."
While she didn't sound too certain, she didn't mind losing either. Either way it's a chance for more quality time with him, and that's still a win in her book.
Seeing their complex in front of them, she couldn't help but be a little... disappointed? That their impromptu walk was coming to an end so soon. But it was late, and they both desperately need the rest, so it's not like she can try to detour or anything to selfishly get more time with him.

She couldn't help but chuckle softly at Xavier's answer, figuring that she shouldn't have expected anything else from him. "Truly, the perfect Hunter." She teased affectionately, giving him just the tiniest of nudges. "I suppose I can't argue that answer though, so your turn."

Sorry Xavier, you asked Lily open ended questions while she's tired and in a weird brain space. Welcome to deep answers and depressing thoughts!

Lily flashed Xavier a playful grin at his teasing, batting her eyelashes innocently. "The most pressing of questions~." She agreed through small giggles.
Truthfully, she'd spent a lot of time trying to figure out his preferences, but... sometimes he could be hard to read, especially in when it came to more 'trivial' matters such as colors. "Lavender, hm?" She hummed, tilting her head. "That makes sense. I honestly was starting to think it was white, since that's most of what you wear." She teased lightheartedly.
She easily followed his guidance around the uneven spot, turning her attention down curiously even though he'd already guided her away from danger. His question caught her off guard, prompting him to look up at him to confirm she heard correctly.
Her perfect life? It's not as though she hadn't ever thought about it. Of course she has. But that doesn't mean she ever thought she'd end up voicing her thoughts.
"My perfect life... All I'd really want is to be generally healthy, and for everyone I care about to be safe and healthy too... having enough time to spend with people I care about."
Perhaps it's the fatigue loosening her tongue, or maybe it's Xavier's presence, but she finds herself continuing despite herself.
"I just... wouldn't want to be alone."

It didn't take long for Lily to agree to the suggestion, alternating between looking up at the sky and focusing on their way forward so they don't run into anything and hopefully avoid getting surprised by anything again.
When she sees the 'shooting star', she perks up and pats at his arm gently to get his attention. "I just saw one!" She cheered quietly.
It almost looks like she'd forgotten about their deal with how quiet she was up until she finally spoke, still staring up at the sky. "What's your favorite color? It's a basic question, but I'm still curious."

She didn't resist the suggestion, even as her cheeks flushed at the proximity. She doesn't have the energy to try and be more independent, and is content for now to enjoy the company while she can.
"That sounds like a good plan." She agreed, looking up at him with a quirked brow in response to him doubting himself. "I have a feeling you know me better than you think. Or at least, better than you let on. I don't imagine that I'm difficult to figure out, either."
Turning her attention forward again so she wouldn't risk tripping over her own feet and taking a moment to tuck her hair behind her ear, not used to having it down while she's out and about, she hummed. "So, who should start with the questions?"

"That's true." She hummed, it taking a bit for her to convince herself to stand up. But she did accept the offered hand, finally pulling herself up with his help. "Well lead the way, Mr. Star Man." She teased lightly.
"Y'know, for being my partner, and how well you know me, I don't really know you all that well..." She mused absently, looking up at him. "You're so mysterious... like a puzzle."

Lily helped him keep his balance as he crouched down too, humming happily as she gently scratched under the cat's chin.
She decided to just accept the out, giggling a little as she leaned against him for a moment. "I appreciate the vote of confidence." She half-teased, though she does genuinely appreciate it.
She turned her attention to the cat again, the unexpected excitement of the evening already wearing off.

The cat looked over to them curiously at their calls, seeming to consider before trotting across the street to investigate them.
Lily waited patiently, keeping her free hand extended for the cat to sniff at and see if she passes the vibe check.
"Well we aren't being terribly loud, so we should be fine." She reassured, looking over to Xavier. "And you don't need to apologize, don't worry. You're right that I should've been more alert anyways. Even if you are the best Hunter ever, I can't let you get the drop on me that easily." She teased lightheartedly, as much as she meant it too. She really does need to be more careful... especially when she knows she's out of it.

If she were to be completely honest, Lily hadn't realized how much she needed the company. Perhaps that's what she needed, more than anything else...
Before she could dwell too much on the thought as she fell into step beside him, his warning sets her on alert again. She started to look around for what had set him on guard, using her Evol to try and sense for any threats their watches hadn't picked up on yet. She took a slight step closer to him, turning slightly to see if the threat might be behind them.
When she feels him relax she followed his gaze, relaxing when seeing the cat just across the street. Letting out a small laugh she carefully squatted down, still holding on to Xavier's hand for balance this time, trying to coax the cat over.
"Nothing wrong with that... It's nice, at night." She mused absently. "Especially outside, it's just so... peaceful."
