I think it goes without saying, the accuracy of one's research paper is heightened if the writer cites both primary and secondary sources.
RIP to past Ben who had The Narrator queued up as one of the Damien Carter inspos based on surface level judgements ("oh he's an insomniac and is often associated with the colour blue? welcome to the team!") only for The Narrator to be the complete opposite lmao. At least the CGI scenes provided a good laugh

Warmup doodle of the day ft. some homebrew Damien lore! This is Amber, Damien's cool and awesome older sister. Can't spill too much (mostly since I still got a fair amount of research to do for the Carters) though I will share that she loves her family but is very emotionally constipated about it </3 and her favourite MLP characters would 1000% be Applejack and Sunset Shimmer. That's a given (she's orange).

It's Damien again...mien!!! Featuring @mikatoonist 's Damien design because it's cool and the clothing choices were very reasonable. Love when designs consider the environment! Always such a fun touch to worldbuilding, even for a satire/comedy show like Total Drama.

To get the ball (or train) rolling, here’s some Damien art! Things and locations have changed in around in my headcanons but he would be such a downtown Toronto kid still
(just suspend the disbelief that if he WERE a Toronto kid he would have a higher threshold for shenanigans cuz of the encounters that just be happening on the subway. but the idea that even a TTC regular is put off on something as nonsensical as Total Drama is pretty funny to me)
