EN|| I’m so excited to share another one of the pieces that will be in @gallerynucleus Power In Numbers 7 collective exhibition alongside a ton of amazing artists! This time is a little snail loving her life surrounded by bees and pomegranades! In this close up you can see next to the illustration the color tests I did while I was painting. 🐌♥️ All the postcards are 5”x7” and made using gouache, watercolor, neocolors, polychromos and watercolor pencils. The show will debut in person only and is cash and carry, meaning once a piece is purchased the buyer takes it home with them rather than be on display the duration of the entire show. The earlier people come, the more they can see! Opening reception is September 3rd 5:00PM - 8:00PM in Alhambra, CA. You can find more information about the event in the gallery’s web. ES|| ¡Estoy súper emocionada de compartir otra de las piezas que estarán en la exposición colectiva “Power In Numbers 7” en @gallerynucleus junto a un montón de artistas más! ¡Esta vez se trata de un pequeño caracol que ama su vida rodeado de abejas y granadas! En este primer plano podéis ver junto a la ilustración las pruebas de color que hice mientras pintaba. 🐌♥️ Todas las postales hacen 5”x7” (12.7 x 17.78 cm) y están realizadas con gouache, acuarela, neocolores, polychromos y lápices acuarelables. El espectáculo debutará solo en persona y es “cash and carry”, lo que significa que una vez que alguien compra una pieza, el comprador se la lleva a casa en lugar de estar en la exhibición toda su duración. ¡Cuanto antes vayáis, más piezas podréis ver! ES || Hoy os enseño el resto de etiquetas que he hecho hasta el momento. Una para el dulce de membrillo, una para la mermelada de moras silvestres y otra para la mermelada de tomate del huerto! He de confesar que me encantan estas frutas de ojos saltones! Seguro que más adelante hago mas variedades. A veces de proyectos personales, divertidos, salen oportunidades nuevas. Este proyecto en concreto me llevó a un proyecto nuevo con una editorial que verá la luz a principios de la próxima primavera! Qué ganas de poder ver y enseñaros el resultado!! EN || Today I bring you the rest of the labels I’ve made so far. One for the quince, one for the wild blackberry jam and one for the tomato jam from the garden! I have to confess that I love these googly-eyed fruits!! Sometimes from personal and fun projects, new opportunities emerge. This particular project led me to a new paid project with a publisher that will be released early next spring! I can’t wait to see and show you the final result!

ETIQUETA MELMELADA DE PRÉSSEC D’AIGUA || ETIQUETA MERMELADA DE MELOCOTÓN DE AGUA || WHITE PEACH JAM LABEL (2019)

ES|| Hoy os enseño un proyecto diferente, un proyecto que surgió inesperadamente hace un par de veranos y que mezcla dos disciplinas muy diferentes. Cuando estoy estresada y necesito relajarme urgentemente me encanta cocinar, en especial me chiflan los postres y pasteles con poco azúcar y mucho chocolate (o con té matcha). También me encanta la fruta, sobre todo si es de agricultura ecológica, y no me gusta nada desperdiciar la comida. Si juntamos todo esto hay una receta que es perfecta: la MERMELADA! La mermelada evita que el exceso de fruta o que la fruta que está demasiado madura para poderla consumir fresca acabe en la basura y, al contrario, la podamos consumir todo el año. Quería que las etiquetas fueran cercanas, divertidas, vistosas y dulces como las elaboraciones. Por este motivo opté por hacer del producto principal de cada elaboración un personaje sin genero, simple y simpático, de ojos grandes y colores brillantes. Espero seguir haciendo más personajillos y más recetas de frutas. Otro día prometo daros las recetas de todas las elaboraciones! 🍑 EN|| Today I bring you an unusual project that emerged unexpectedly throughout the summer of two years ago. I say this project is unusual because it mixes two very different disciplines and it taps other forms of creativity. When I'm stressed and in urgently need to relax, cooking is helps me, especially I love to make desserts and bake cakes with little sugar and lots of chocolate or a little of matcha tea. Moreover I absolutely love fruits, especially if they’re from organic farming, and I don’t like to waste food. If we put those two things together there’s a perfect recipe: JAM! Making jam prevents that the excess of fruit or the fruit that is too ripe for fresh consumption ends up being wasted in the trash and, on the contrary, makes it possible for us to consume it all year round. Jam it's great to mix with yogurt, ice cream, kefir, a chocolate cake, cheesecake, ... I wanted the labels to be fun, colorful and as sweet as the elaborations. For this reason I chose to make a non-gender, simple and friendly character, with big eyes and bright colors, for every main product of each of the elaborations.🍑

ES|| Me da la sensación que el verano se ha acabado en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Un día iba con camiseta de tirantes y al otro con un jersey! Aunque aún hay días, o mejor dicho momentos, que aun hace un calor aplastante, el frío se esta abriendo camino súper rápidamente. Parece que el otoño y la primavera vayan difuminándose y solo sepamos en que época del año estamos por las lluvias y los días acortándose. Por una parte me da pena que se acaben los días de tomar el sol (o como me gusta decir a mi “hacer la fotosíntesis”), los colores brillantes de la naturaleza, los días increíblemente largos, las fresas, la sandia, el melón y todos las maravillosas frutas de verano y los pantalones cortos, pero, por otro lado, ya viene el tiempo de dormir con el nórdico, cosa que me encanta! Y para despedir los días largos de sol y el calor un trocito de una ilustración antigua con aires muy veraniegos!🍉 EN|| I get the feeling that summer has gone by in the blink of an eye. One day I was wearing a tank top and the other a sweater! Although there’re days, or rather moments, when it’s still overwhelmingly hot, the cold is making its way super quickly. It seems autumn and spring are fading away and we only know what time of year we are due to the rains and the days getting shorter. On one hand, I’m sorry that the days of sunbathing (or as I like to say “to photosynthesize”), the bright colors of nature, the incredibly long days, strawberries, watermelons, melons and all the wonderful summer fruits and shorts are over, but on the other hand, it's getting so much closer the time to sleep with the duvet, which I absolutely love! And to say goodbye to long sunny days, a piece of an old illustration with a very summery atmosphere!🍉

ES|| La mayoría de ilustraciones que os enseño por aquí forman parte de proyectos personales que hago en medio de encargos y proyectos remunerados. Muchas veces tengo que dejar a medias estos proyectos personales porque no se vive del aire. A principios de año os empecé a enseñar mi experimentación con técnicas tradicionales, pues una cuantas ilustraciones se me quedaron en el tintero, como este caracol enamorado de una granada! No suelo hacerlo pero aquí os enseño un trozo del proceso de creación, en las imágenes podéis ver el boceto y la prueba de color en @procreate. Espero poder acabarla pronto en mis ratos libres y espero que no quede peor que en el apunte de color porque me tiene enamorada! A vosotros que os parecen los colores? 🐌 EN|| Most of the illustrations I show you here are part of personal projects I do in the middle of commissions and paid projects. Many times I have to leave these personal projects halfway because money. At the beginning of the year I began to experiment with traditional techniques, but a few illustrations were left in the inkwell, like this snail in love with a pomegranate! I don't usually do it but here I show you a piece of the creation process. In the images you can see the sketch and the color test in @procreate. I hope I can finish it soon in my spare time and I hope to not make it worse than in this color test because it has me in love! What do you think of the colors? 🐌

Soon it'll be Halloween and thousands of candy and sweets will be eaten! I really enjoyed inventing packagings and candy flavors for this illustration, although I've a secret to tell you: I don't like candy at all!

ESP || Hace unos años hice una ilustración divertida sobre esas ganas ansiosas de comerse cualquier cosa: la gula. Estos días de confinamiento, con tanta gente haciendo pasteles, madalenas, pizzas, panes i mil cosas mas, no puedo parar de pensar en ella. A mi me encanta cocinar y sobre todo hacer pasteles, especialmente si son de chocolate: no solo están buenos y es un placer comerlos sino que siento que hacerlos es algo terapéutico, un break de la rutina. Además yo que no soy de mucho azúcar me chifla poder hacerlos a mi gusto, es decir con más chocolate y menos azúcar! Vosotros estáis aprovechando estos días para descubrir la cocina? 🍪🍒🍫

ENG || A few years ago I made a funny illustration about that anxious feeling of desire to eat anything: the gluttony. These days of confinement, with so many people making cakes, muffins, pizzas, breads and many other things, I can't stop thinking about that illustration. I love to cook and especially to make cakes, even more if they are made of chocolate: they not only taste good and it’s a pleasure to eat them, but for me I feel that making them is something therapeutic, a break from the routine of every day. Also, I don’t like very sugary thing, so doing it myself I can make them to my liking, with more chocolate and less sugar! Are you taking advantage of these days to rediscover the kitchen? 🍪🍒🍫

CAT || Fa uns anys vaig fer una divertida il·lustració sobre aquell sentiment ansiós de ganes de menjar qualsevol cosa: la gola. Aquests dies de confinament, amb tanta gent fent pastissos, magdalenes, pizzes, pans i moltes altres coses, no puc deixar de pensar en aquesta il·lustració. M’encanta cuinar i sobretot fer pastissos, encara més si estan fets de xocolata: no només estan bons i és un plaer menjar-los, sinó que sento que fer-los és quelcom terapèutic, un break de la rutina de tots els dies. A més jo que no sóc de molt de sucre em torna boija poder fer-los al meu gust, és a dir amb més xocolata i menys sucre! Vosaltres esteu aprofitant aquests dies per descobrir la cuina? 🍪🍒🍫

Con un poco de azúcar y mucha fruta de temporada salen unas mermeladas tremendamente deliciosas!

Forest’s fruits summer || Verano de frutas del bosque || Estiu de fruites del bosc (2019)

Aunque ya estamos en otoño pensando en murciélagos, calabazas y mantas calentitas os traigo otra ilustración de la serie de refrescos veraniegos: el refresco antioxidante de frutos de bosque, cerezas y menta! Si pudiera me comería estás frutas del bosque todo el año, y qué mejor que mezclar-las con unicornios! Tengo que confesar que quizás una de las cosas que más me gusta del verano es la variedad de frutas de temporada que hay, las cerezas son unas de mis preferidas! (aunque quizás sean una fruta más de primavera...) Esta serie de ilustraciones la empecé en plena ola de calor pero como os conté en el post anterior he estado muy liada con un proyecto sobre libros (que espero poder enseñar prontito) y tuve que dejar los cócteles fiesteros un poco apartados ... pero me gusta demasiado dibujar mis albondiguillas y sus brazos extremadamente largos así que la serie continuará aunque sea acompañada del nórdico y una deliciosa infusión... 🍓🍒☕

Although it's autumn and we're already thinking about bats, pumpkins and warm blankets I bring you another illustration of the summer soda series. I could eat these fruits of the forest all year long, and what better to mix them with unicorns! I have to confess that perhaps one of the things I like the most about summer is the variety of seasonal fruits that offers, cherries are one of my favorites! (although they may be more of the spring season...) I started this series of illustrations in the middle of the summer heatwave but as I told you in the previous post I've been very occupied with a project about books (which I hope you can see soon) and I had to set aside partying cocktails ... but I love to draw my little meatballs and their extremely long arms too much so the series will continue even if I have to draw new cocktel sodas accompanied by my duvet and a delicious warm infusion ...🍓🍒☕

Fruit summer || Verano de frutas || Estiu de fruites (2019)

ESP || Este verano ha sido mortalmente caluroso, no sé si cada año pienso lo mismo y mi optimismo veraniego me hace olvidarlo, pero creo que nunca había pasado tanto calor tantos días seguidos! Ojalá pudiera ponerme dentro de un vaso lleno de cubitos de hielo como estas felices albondiguillas y explorar las sabrosas frutas!🍓🍉🍋 No hay nada más refrescante para estos días que parece que te vas a derretir que un sanísimo refresco de frutas veraniegas lleno de felicidad! Vosotros tenéis algún truquillo secreto para pasar el calor? 🍸☀️ ENG || This summer has been deadly hot, I do not know if every year I think the same and my summertime optimism makes me forget it, but I think I had never been so uncomfortably overwhelm by the heat so many days in a row ... I wish I could get inside a glass full of ice cubes like this happy meatballs and explore all those tasty fruits!! 🍓🍉🍋 There is nothing more refreshing for these days that looks like you're going to melt than a very healthy summer fruit soda full of happiness! The idea of drawing more fruit themed outfits with summer and space undertone brings me joy.

Which fruit would win as a mech in a mech fight and why?

So far two people have said durian cause the smell would ruin the competition

And here I am with two, coconut and strawberry. One for defense and the other for multiple compartments that would serve an attack type mech

I made the game ‘Watermelon Match’ within 48 hours after hearing about the Global Strike for Ceasefire for Palestine on December 11th, 2023. My pixel art and game design may be lacking, but I hope that this is a small reminder to keep going for the people in Palestine and Gaza. 🍉

Trader Joe's Seedless Clementines. Easy to peel it says, well that's not exactly accurate, some are and some are not easy to peel. What really matters is that most of these little round half mandarin orange and half a sweet orange are Yummy Sweet. Similar to tangerines, I eat as much fresh citrus as I can get.
