My new favorite 🌞
I was in Minecraft, just started a new world. Spawned right next to a large structure like some kinda dungeon building. It was surrounded by iron fences and had tinted windows. I could see a ton of hostile mobs inside. I made plans to set up some kinda pit trap around the building so I could just break a wall and release them all into the trap to kill them. There was a new entity in the game, which was a large pink egg that would float and move around. You could capture the egg by surrounding it with blocks. It hatched into a Spritzee eventually. You could tame it with flowers and it had the effect of luring mobs with its scent.

You have a Nightmare:

• Typically, when you 3 actually make it to bed and not the couch, Sam and you will sleep next to eachother while Max sprawls over you both in some overly complicated position- in which he's usually clinging onto you with his feet in poor Sam's face.
• Despite this though, when you begin to writhe or groan in your sleep, Sam always wakes up first. Perhaps it's because of his heightened senses, or his sight of fear, or just Max sleeping like a f*ckin' cow-
• Sam comforts you immidiently, or- the closest he can get to immidiently in his exhausted state, slinging his arms around you gently and putting his nose next to your cheek, prodding the soft skin with his wet, leather nose expectantly, trying to wake you up.
"Y/N.. Y/N, buddy, wake up, you're having a worse nightmare than a ginger in sunny Senegal strapped to a loung-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
• He seems to always get cut off by Max screaming bloody murder, which wakes you up, either because of the screaming or Max's jumping on you, landing on your chest full force. He does this because one more sudden writhe from you wakes him, because he's spoiled.
• No matter what though, they both really do care and try their best to lull you back to sleep. Try. It seems to come especially hard to Max, who smothers you with a pillow until Sam holds him up in the air, all 3 of you panicking for some reason while screaming.
Max has a nightmare:

• He just doesn't get the chance to have nightmares. He is such a deep sleeper but as soon as he feels the slightest bit uncomfortable or chilly or too warm or- he wakes up. Screaming.
• It's close to being a nightly occurance, living in the city and all. To get Max to stay asleep during the night, you'd need to make him sleep in an asylum.
"3, 2, 1-"
"3, 2, 1-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Good morning Max."
"Morning, little buddy."
• He's such a brat about it aswell, making both you and Sam stay in bed to talk or coddle(yes, I meant to put coddle) him until he's ready to go.
• He actually gets in a massive strop in you don't aswell. He'll huff and puff and complain how you don't love him with his two arms over his chest while he glares.
• He wouldn't do anything though, he hates the entire world as a whole, not you and Sam. Never has been and, hopefully(really, we don't know if he'll ever turn on you two), never will.
• But to conclude things, he's just never really had a nightmare. He's just really annoying and childish, you and Sam love him though, screams and all.
Sam has a nightmare:

• Sam is the one who rarely has nightmares, but when he does, they're always serious. He dreams about his insecurities, and the worst case scenario that could ever happen because of them.
• A frequent thing he has nightmares about is his weight. It's not like he's obese or overweight, but he would be considered 'fat' in some people's eyes, which makes him less inclined to run or do sports in general. He doesn't like that. Especially when compared to you and whatever you do or Max and his quick paced, undeniable shenanigans.
• He's really still when having a nightmare but not quiet, mumbling and whining out to his hearts unpleasant content. It usually wakes you and Max up, you up because- well- you care, and it wakes Max up because the noise annoyed him. You make sure to cover his mouth before he can scream though.
"Ah- I'll.. no.. I'll put off the weight.. I-"
*muffled screaming*
"Sam, doggy, wake up.."
• When he does wake up, he always feels bad for waking you and Max up, and tries to joke his way out of things before being cuddled by you and Max, with you making sure Max doesn't try anything whilst Sam is in this vulnerable state.
• He'll never tell you about the nightmare though, I'm sure that by time he does wake up, you have a good idea to do with what it was about.
• He'll just sit there as you pamper him, patting Max's head like a nefarious super villain with his cat. He always ends up feeling loved and blushy by time morning rolls around through, he can't help it.
"Well, darn, you two have made me happy as a midget in the kids clothes section."

@azaraih and I are back on our bullshit, and by bullshit I mean having a good time making games together again. Been a while since we’ve posted about game making!
Currently, we’re trying to make the smallest possible VN that still feels personally interesting for us to work on, and basically it’s turned into Awkward Lunch Conversations: The Game. Here are some sprites I’ve been making for one of the characters you can interact with in the game. Unnamed at the moment, but non-binary with they/them pronouns.
I’ll talk about the game more soon, but pretty much my thought process was “What are VNs great at? Character interactions like conversations. What’s a super small, limited character interaction you could do? Having lunch with one other person. How can I make this more interesting for me? What if you don’t actually remember who you’re meeting for lunch, and why.” And that’s pretty much how our game started. Current title is Lunch with J.

At last night's Glitch Immersion workshop, we each rolled a D20 to generate a game pitch for us to sketch quick concepts for. I rolled: fast + dark + Street Fighter. Went for literal dark w/cave stages that darken over time during a round. Attacks landing briefly light up the cave. If the round times out and there's no victor, the stage goes black and the weird beast lurking in the background emerges to chomp ya.
Another selkie game preview, mockup screenshot of a conversation this time. Sorry for the roughness! I kind of just have a separate psd where I occasionally drop updated versions of background/character/interface art so I can have an ongoing idea of how different elements are gonna come together eventually. So here's a sloppy wip of the Inn interior bg + not quite finished Selkie + idk what that expression the Storyteller has is, semi-amused pondering? + dialogue box I roughed out.
azaraih worked out the base perspective for the overall room and I've since taken over and I am WAY slower at fleshing this out haha. Oh well, I'm learning I guess? azaraih's also got some misc progress shots from selk gam, I think the initial sketch for this background and some interface/ui and coding stuff? So check that out if you're interested in seeing other selk gam work! (Also I've been referring to this as selk gam just cause...that's what I call it in my head, it really isn't titled that haha woops)
One more batch! This about rounds up the characters you can expect to be interacting with on the island (except for one of Teen Alchemist's rambunctious younger siblings whose sprite I haven't gotten the chance to finish yet.) Other character batches here and o'er here.
These three you aren't necessarily going to need to interact with like the route characters or the Innkeeper or Shopkeeper. It might be in your best interest to take a shot at befriending them though. Might be more to them than there seems and hey, maybe they've got some help to offer you? You might as well chat them up, what else you got to preoccupy you while trapped on this tiny rock, you silly grump?
Still to come, probably some alternate sprite expressions, screen mockups, stuff like that? I'll try to post a bit more in general too, although it won't all be game-related work. I'd like to post sketches and fanart and other personal art too :]
I chose a low angle to portray Big Daddy's menacing look, and a leak in progress to portray Rapture's precarious appearance. The expression of splashing water was added with Photoshop. LoRA seem to have worked and did almost everything. I like this Big Daddy design, which is a little taller than the previous original design, as it seems to be suitable for a live-action film.
If there was one problem, it was not easy to get the Little Sisters into the right places. I just composited her in photoshop. Composite quality doesn't seem very good. Still, I'll have to be content with this.
BioShock was a big turning point for me. I started with a surprise about computer graphics, and the twist at the end is really the best I can think of now. I hope this work will be made into a great live-action movie someday.

I made a live-action movie poster for DOOM.
It was thought that the process of coordinating the description between the symbolic form of the original DoomGuy in the game and the details suitable for realistic movies would be quite difficult. But I was able to finish this work easily, because I found a good LoRA that someone had made.
The image resource of DoomGuy in the game seems to have quite short arms, which continued to apply to the results. I tried to offset this with a few prompts, but when I lowered the weight, I had a problem moving away from DoomGuy shape. I just decided to supplement this in Photoshop.
