We've already heard few bits of rumors about the Google Nexus 9 during last couple of weeks. It's an interesting strategy because the Nexus 6 leaks flooded the web truly intensively.
Perhaps HTC is better at keeping the secrets than Motorola, though it didn't prevent Desire Eye from breaking through on the outside and scare every competitor with its huge eye. But speaking about the tablet we can foresee that it will retrace to the same roots as before and will have a matte textured aluminum casing, as well as Nexus 7 had.
From the leak we can see an 8-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash single diode in the left upper corner and 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera under f/2.4 lenses. The miniUSB output is in the center of the bottom face for recharge. An LTE module is also expected to be available for the US market.
Google Nexus 9 tablet comes with an 8.9-inch Quad HD display, that will have a high resolution of 2048x1536 pixels, a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, not more than 4GB of RAM, a 6700mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop to make the mentioned components work.
The tablet is now available. The prices for the tablet is $399 for the 16GB model with Wi-Fi only, $479 for the 32GB of inner storage aboard and $599 for 32GB LTE tablet. The Nexus 9 stirred a bit and we’ve informed you accordingly.

It seems that the new rumors have pierced through the internet and a new tablet called Nexus 9 is slightly revealed to us. Who could actually be the real maker of this device you ask? Well, Google could give it to anyone, for example, to Asus or Motorola, but the choice is actually done in favor of HTC, the one which already failed with the Flyer – a 7-inch tablet at $500 cost in 2013.
A new Nexus – a name that was already used plenty of times – is created under the code name of “Flounder”… and it actually coincides with a well-known to us Nexus X with a code name “Shamu” - the killer whale from the history of entertainment. So we guess Flounder and Shamu could be good friends.
So the display of Nexus 9 should be 9-inch IPS LCD at a 1920x1200 pixel resolution. Processor is meant to be NVIDIA Tegra K1 Denver (64-bit), just like the NVIDIA Shield Tablet. Free given storage is ought to be 32 GB with microSD card adjustable space. A rear camera with 8 megapixel will be accompanied with 1.6 megapixel front one.
A date that has been announced cannot be said strictly, therefore we can expect it in October in order not to tell you false dates at all. The price is expected to be around $400, which is quite fascinating for such a device. If any more news arrives on board, we will surely tell them to our visitors.

The new Nexus 6 may be produced by Motorola and the rumors say that the project is being developed under the codename Shamu, a name, which is also known as an orca star from the SeaWorld show at San Diego in the mid–late 1960s.
The word is spread that the display will be huge having 5.9-inch size with the resolution of 1080p, which can dimensionally compete with the biggest variant of Apple’s new upcoming iPhone 6 with 5.5-inch screen. The OS is encountered to be Android L, which will proudly complement the big size. So based on all mentioned it is expected to be a phablet with some new perks still not specified.
As it is not much known about the architecture of the Nexus 6 we can only hope that it will not bite the customer’s wallet as the killer whale did in 60’s with the fish and the Android Engineer Dave Burke will program it despite its wilderness issue.
And for us only waiting and patience can be prescribed in order to know the final results of the smartphone details, such as inner and outer design, the price and which actually means everything! The debut of Google Nexus 6 handsets will take place around October.

[Editor’s note: This is the fourth in a series of seven posts on running your own Google Ventures design sprint. Read the first part here, the second here, and the third here.]At the Google Ventures Design Studio, we have a five-day process for taking a product or feature from design through prototyping and testing. We call it a product design sprint. In the first two days of the sprint, we’ve learned about the problem, shared a lot of knowledge, and chosen the challenge we want to tackle in this sprint. It’s time to start cranking out solutions.
If you play today’s ultra-sweet Google Doodle Global Candy Cup, you can see my illustrations when you beat the game with the witch of your choice! I created the share images that you can post on Facebook or Twitter. You can also read about the personalities and quirks of each character here!
It was a lot of fun to work with their adorable character designs and to have a chance to flex my hand-lettering muscles. The game was designed by Sophie Diao, who also created all the assets, and animated by Nate Swinehart. Engineering by Ariel Lee, Maura Fitzgerald, Kris Hom, and Corrie Scalisi. Music and sound effects by Aivi & Surasshu. Thanks to my ADs Sophie Diao and Liat Ben-Rafael for including me in this super fun project!
Go play it! It’s pretty dang charming.
