One-Shot: You have so many requests but if you have the time could you maybe write a Zach Mitchell one shot where it’s just a normal day at the park and you and Zach are supposed to watch Grey but Owen doesn’t like the idea of you two doing it because you are dating. But you do it anyways and end up losing Gray while like flirting or being all lovey dovey and they have to find him somewhere? I love your one shots and imagines awhh Announcements: I hope you all enjoy this one! It was fun to wright. Warnings: None, I’m pretty sure. Maybe mild language, it depends on who you are.
Crap.
Oh crap.
Crrraaaaap.
Hmmm, yeah… no. This is not a good thing that is happening at this very moment in time. You and your boyfriend, Zach, were supposed to be looking after his little brother, Gray. And, well… as you had said, crap. He was gone. Off into the great big sea of tropical shirts and fanny packs.
You should have listened to Owen, he told you and Zach that it might have not have been the best idea to watch Gray since you and Zach were dating. And as always he was correct. But, as they say, hindsight is 20-20. You tore at your hair with anxiety and started looking around franticly and
“Zach, Zach, we need to tell someone, ok? We need to tell someone and then they can help find him and-”
Zach grabbed you lightly by the shoulders, “Hey, hey, calm down, ok? It’s not like he can stay lost for very long. And we don’t need to tell anyone, ok? My mom would kill me and then my aunt. I can not be responsible for another persons death. Now, lets go,” and with that, you began to walk around, calling Gray’s name.

It all started about an hour ago. It was a normal day for Jurassic World, sweaty park goers and screaming children. Claire had been called in to work suddenly and Owen was busy with his Velociraptors so she had asked Zach and you to watch over Gray. Owen really didn’t think it was a good idea because the two of you had been long distance dating and finally, after months, had gotten to see each other in person again after your father, Owen had gotten this job.
“C'mon, dad. It’s just for one day, and besides, whats so bad about us watching Gray.”
Owen sighed, “Because, you are a couple of in love teenagers that are gonna get distracted and lose him.”
You groaned, “I promise we won’t be that distracted, plus, you have to go to work so…”
He din’t say anything for a moment, “Fine, just don’t lose the kid please.”
You smiled in victory, “I promise. Now bye!”
“Bye,” he said, unconvinced.

A few minutes later you had met up with Zach and Gray and went off to see a few of the animal exhibits, Gray geeking out and Zach and you staring longingly into each others eyes. At least thats what it seemed like. Right now you were freaking out and couldn’t remember of the details. The three of you were sitting around the fountain near the entrance to take a break. You do vaguely remember Gray asking for the two of you to hurry up so they could go see more dinosaurs, but again, Zach and you were lovey doveying up the place.
“I really missed you,” you said.
“I missed you too,” he replied.
After a minute of you two catching up, you looked around and noticed that there was a Gray shaped hole in the immediate area around you.
You tapped Zach’s arm, “Hey, where is Gray? Wasn’t he just here?”
“You sure? Maybe he just went to the bathroom or something.”
“No, now that I think about it, I haven’t seen him in a couple minutes.”
The two of you realized what happened and looked at each other slowly, “Crap.”

And now here you were, the two of you were looking for the smaller boy and yelling his name around the park. You went to each of the exhibits, even to the small petting zoo, but you couldn’t find him.
You looked over at Zach, who was looking more worried by the minute, “Hey, you said, its gonna be ok. We’ll find, him, I mean, it’s not like he could have gotten eaten by anything. Heck, maybe he’s in the lost and found?”
He sighed and looked over at you, “We’ve already looked there, remember?”
“Yeah, I know. Oh, uh, what about the Rex exhibit? We haven’t checked there, right?”
“Yeah, right. Lets go.”

Zach and you squinted in the low light, looking around people and trying to not be distracted by the goat outside the observatory being devoured. You tried sorting through the sounds, trying to hear the familiar voice of Gray. All of a sudden, Zach grabbed your hand and led you to the front of the crowed. You instantly let out a breath of relief as you saw the shaggy blond head of Gray.
“There you are, you little squirt!” Zach yelled over the tells of delight from the crowed, “You can’t just disappear like that, we were worried.”
The three of you made your way to the back of the crowed to have a bit more privacy, “We’ve been looking everywhere for you,” you began, “Why did you just run off?”
The younger Mitchell looked down, “I told you I was leaving. It was you two that didn’t listen because you were too busy with yourselves.”
Zach and you looked at each other in guilt, “We’re sorry, Gray. We just haven’t seen each other in a very long time and, well, we got a little distracted. I’m sorry,” you said.
Zach stepped in a moment later, “Yeah, sorry. I promise that we’ll stop being completely distracted, ok? But you can’t ever run off again, ok? Also, we’re not gonna tell mom, or Aunt Claire, ok?”
You cut in quickly, “Or my dad. Ever. We gotta pinkie promise.”
Zach smiled over at you, “Yup. It’s our little secret.”
The two of you looked hopefully down at Gray, who squinted at the both of you, “Fine, but I get half of your souvenir money and the employee discount.”
“Deal,” Zach and you said simultaneously.
He smiled deviously and stuck out his pinkie, then Zach, and then you, shaking on it while the T-Rex let out a huff from outside.
Pinkie promises are no joke.
