ITS HEREEEEEE
From the Chinese manhua “Tamen de Gushi” by Tan jiu
OH MY GAWD, WHAT IN THE SHIZZLE STICKS?!
AHHHHHHHHHGFFGHUNKJYJJMB, I LOVE YOUR ART SO MUCH 😭
“AND EVEN IF I DIE, SOMEONE ELSE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE”
Since it was their birthday yesterday I figured I'd also finish this old WIP that I started after the April 14 episode - I loved this quote a lot it goes hard
I experimented with perspective and it was both fun and incredibly infuriating lmao
Now I should actually focus on artfight again before July is over kfkshdjd
i dont know what god, diety or demon possessed me but i had the majority of a mug filled with pure black coffee. (for the first time ever)
straight from the pot, and all i know is before i was barely getting through the day on four hours of sleep, and instead i studied for my midterm for seven fucking hours
seven hours of nonstop studying and no breaks. I have literally never been that focused in my life. ADHD be damned.
im lying here at 11:30 wondering how im not either completely dead or somehow asleep. I am still wide awake even though i was begging for sleep this morning.
i drank it at 3(ish) and im still not tired. im invincible. i could literally solve anything right now. i could fight god and he fears that i may win.
drink coffee. i get coffee people now. i get it.
I understand.
I think in this regard especially, Cassian achieves what Luthen really wants to be. At least on a moral standpoint because Cassian does all this and still so very deeply cares about everyone, while Luthen has had to stop caring and instead make horrible horrible choices.
I love that yet again we see Cassian take a back seat so someone else can rally the troops, someone else takes center stage and the credit.
In this case, it's Maarva. Last time they spoke, he said he didn't understand why she was staying, why she wanted to fight a revolution against an impossible force.
But this time, he gets it. He lets her word be the rallying call for her home, he makes sure EVERYBODY gets to hear it, that the entire town gets called out to listen to her final speech as he goes in to rescue Bix in the shadows.
He runs from hiding place to hiding place as Brasso stands at the front of a crowd, walks them towards a wall of Imperial soldiers, and leads them in the fight for freedom.
Cassian isn't a Big Damn Hero. He's not someone whose name is known or remembered. He's not a leader who makes the big speech to a crowd.
He's a spy. He observes, he notices things, he figures out the plan that has to happen in order to succeed at the goal. He's the one who puts it all together and then steps away from the spotlight so he can do it all over again.
and because it's a cute nickname! you're my little stardust!

I got possessed by some art demon I think and spent the last
*checks time*
5 and a half hours drawing a guy.
Anyways, here's the guy, isn't he great?
He's covered in blood for normal reasons
just started watching a TLOU playthrough bc of Ellie Williams edits...
I already know I'm going to be obsessed
Do other people get writing ideas from dreams? Half my stories are based on dreams I had, and I just had a new one! This time I dreamed up fanfic, but it was epic, so I have to make it.
1.3 sellbot manager lineup + personal headcanons bye guys
Cutting through the pain? *Begins to cry tears of laughter that turn into tears of sadness*
... and then assumed that it's just a wish fulfillment "ideal reality" kind of outcome of the TUC story that cuts all of the depth, pain, and realism ... Go back and read it right now.
Because that is not what AHS is. Not even close.
AHS is not "my version" of TUC where I just change whatever I dislike without regard for themes or characters in the original. Far from it. One of the main goals I had was actually to give more of the Underland. More characterization (that aligns with canon, although some characters develop in a different direction because of shifts in circumstances), more worldbuilding (that coincides with canon, adding onto it), ... just more, period.
The best way I can describe what it actually is is honestly saying that AHS is to TUC like Marvel's "What if ...?" is to the MCU. It is quite literally a "What if Henry had survived his fall at the end of "Gregor the Overlander"?" And I kid you not, 95% of the changes in the story, compared to TUC, are simply a result of exactly this change.
But the entire plot of the final book is different, right? Well, I didn't say that the consequences of that one change weren't substantial. They are. Without spoiling too much I can only say that Henry happens to be an optimist, and it also happens that an optimist was exactly what the TUC story needed to achieve a happier outcome.
Anyone who has actually read my version of the CoC plot will tell you that it is far from ideal, perfect, or pain-free. A lot more happens in the actual plot, but most of those new events are there to serve the dark, violent nature of war. There's so much talk about loss, and sacrifice, exploration of (also the dark side of) heroism, and whether "for the greater good" is worth it. There's corruption and death, injustice, and grappling with unkind fates and alienation/rejection.
Now, I will admit that I did put less emphasis on the societal pressure aspect of CoC, but mainly because that theme is a huge part of AHS 2 already, and it did not really fit this part of the story anymore. Instead, "Gregor against society" becomes "Questers against society" (quite literally, since they are — small spoiler — banding together to actually overthrow Solovet and bring about change.)
BUT ... if there is corruption, death, and the violence of war, how is it happier then? How can it have a happy ending?
Very simply because it is not only corruption but also redemption. Not only death and suffering but also growth and gain. Not only violence and breaking of relationships but also companionship, hope, and mending of relationships.
... The main change that happens to be so powerful it can give this series a happy ending without disrespecting or abandoning its original gritty violent core is ... a shift in mindset toward the positive. For Gregor, but also for everyone else. One of the main themes I added is the exploration of the double-edged nature of things: Everything has good and bad consequences. What we take away from it is what we choose to focus on.
Now you might see better what I meant by "All this series needed was an optimist" earlier. If there were someone to remind people of the bright side, to remind Gregor that his rager power does not make him evil and that he is never alone or choiceless, to embody this hopeful outlook and bring it out in everything ... I promise to you that this is all it would have taken.
And this is what I'm giving you.
Hey you. I’m writing a fanfiction of the backstory of Stanley Pines. Like when he was on the run. I drew this scene from it. To plug my own work shamelessly. I’m a good writer. It’s on ao3. It’s like 50k words so far. Also it’s a gay love story.
I just got done watching The Gaslight District, and holy crap, it is so good. I loved the animation and character designs, and the world building was so cool! I really hope it gets picked up! Anyway, you guys should check it it out! So small warning it does have some gore and violence in it, so if you're sensitive to that, don't watch, but anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing more episodes of it!
one stancest request coming right up
30yo stans but instead of fighting in the portal room they kiss and everything is alright ^_^
this was my fav deleted scene. and then they fucked nasty
i lied, put your clothes back on, we’re actually going to talk about how brennan and hodgins are best friends and how they’re one of the most underrated pairings in the show despite being buried alive together, and hodgins being brennan’s counterpart in every au the show has done and them knowing each other from the main cast the longest and enjoying little pieces of each other that the others think are odd
...Yes.
OMG I'VE HAD THIS ON REPEAT SINCE I GOT THE NOTIFICATION! It's so beautifully sad. All the longing in his voice, the regrets and heartbreak OOH it's so dramatic!
- I love how he sings “tome”.
-I love how he sings “gain”.
-I love the “grow cold” lines.
THE VISUALS ARE VISUAL-ING!
Him just leaving his library/office and walking into space (to get some space!) is just so cool and kind of a mood tbh. The way it opens like a curtain is just so fitting for Stolas lol
All together I love it ❤️😭✨
I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT IVE WATCHED THIS MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS. I LOVE IT SO SO SO MUCH
billford animatic i made to the song 'confrontation'! ^^
I had a dream that the king and the queen of a small country had a daughter. They needed a son, a first-born son, so in secret, without telling anyone of their child’s gender, they travelled to the nearby woods that were rumoured to house a witch.
They made a deal with that witch. They wanted a son, and they got one. A son, one made out of clay and wood, flexible enough to grow but sturdy enough to withstand its destined path, enchanted to look like a human child. The witch asked for only one thing, and that was for their daughter.
They left the girl readily.
The witch raised her as her own, and called her Thyme. The princess grew up unknowing of her heritage, grew up calling the witch Mama, and the witch did her very best to earn that title.
She was taught magic, and how to forage in the woods, how to build sturdy wooden structures and how to make the most delicious stews. The girl had a good life, and the witch was pleased.
The girl grew into a woman, and learned more and more powerful magics, grew stronger from hauling wood and stones and animals to cook, grew smarter as the witch taught her more.
She learned to deal with the people in the villages nearby, learned how to brew remedies and medicines and how to treat illness and injury, and learned how to tell when someone was lying.
Every time the pair went into town, the people would remark at just how similar Thyme was to her mother.
(Thyme does not know who and what she is. She does not know that she was born a princess, that she was sold. She only knows that one night after her mother read her a story about princesses and dragons, her mother had asked her if she ever wanted to be a princess.)
((Thyme only knows that she very quickly answered no. She likes being a witch, thank you very much, she likes the power that comes with it and the way that she can look at things and know their true nature.))
The witch starts preparing the ritual early, starts collecting the necessities in the winter so they can be ready by the fall equinox. Her daughter helps, and does not ask what this is for, just knows that it is important.
The witch looks at Thyme, both their hands raised into the air over a complicated array of plants, tended carefully to grow into a circle, and says, sorry.

Honestly I’m think what if The Beyonder was some sort of subspecies to The Watchers, sort of like a high rank legionnaires or something in case they don’t have enough time to gather information from planets beyond their reach. Also I feel really bad for The Beyonder for some reason, Lunella literally snapped at him, I get it, he’s kind of a sick at times and his wiki page literally says he’s a trickster. But Lunella feels bad for snapping at him, I think she genuinely wants to be friends with him since S2 EP1 since they had bonding time..ngl he pulls off braids really well.
this show and specifically this pairing has a grip on me u dont understand
The comic is based on this audio from tiktok! its super cute and i think fits them PERFECTLY(i love this audio sm the segment for the comic is like 11 seconds :D)
