Byron is the only person I know that dresses up when he gets home and dresses down when he goes to work. Imagine the sheer confusion that must entail whenever his coworkers go and visit him.
Bonus: Why Kaito has such bad fashion sense during the flashbacks
Flynn Rider for some reason reminded me always of Thomas Arclight, so I couldn't be helped but to draw this XD
I can imagine they being on a play where IV has Lugin's role and Rio as Rapunzel and every Rio's classmates, including Bronk crying throught the play and Shark bashing his head onto something and Kotori and Michael cheering them on XD
I may not be the best artist but I managed to pull this off XD
(I am using the sub names in this post, don’t ask why I just felt like it.)
I have many of these so get ready.
Theory 1-Yuma doesn’t become the king of games, IV does.
Zexal is the first Yu-gi-oh to not end with the protagonist becoming the King of Games. In the last episode, we are told that he returns to school, and eventually fights a threat in Astral world. Nothing is said about him advancing his dueling career, but you know who does?
Everyone’s favorite puppet boy. This isn’t the only evidence though, in Arc-V episode 14 Yuya and Skip (Zuzu’s dad) are playing on an action field containing famous card names and other various Yu-gi-oh references. In one shot you can see the name ‘Quattro’ on a building.
Quattro is IV’s dubname, and since there isn’t any other ‘Quattro’ in Yu-gi-oh I think it’s safe to assume it’s talking about IV. What would make IV so famous as to have his name put up next to StarDust dragon in an action field? Probably his duel achievements, specifically becoming the next king of games.
Theory 2-III’s deck confirms the 5Ds/Zexal alternate universe timelines.
This theory starts with a timeline created (or at least thoroughly explained) by the Youtuber Yu-Gi-Oh Everything.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToJEAdnOWls
While everything might not be perfect, it is a pretty accurate representation of the YuGiOh timeline. It shows Zexal being in a completely different dimension than 5Ds, the two dimensions being across from each other. Now I never watched 5Ds, so if my knowledge is lacking I apologize, but what I do know is there was an Aztec dragon named the ‘Crimson Dragon’, along with other Aztecian references. You know what else has Aztec references in it?
III’s deck. In fact, he flat out states:
“The deck I am using is called OOParts. OOParts are evidence of a connection between this world and a different dimension! In this world, there are multiple dimensions overlapping each other! And some people believe that OOParts come from there.”
Zexal Episode 46, Subbed.
“Chronomalys are mysterious artifacts that could link this world to other dimensions. See, this world is apart of a multidimensional matrix, and chronomalys may have come here from another dimension.”
Zexal Episode 46, Dubbed.
Even though he may be talking about Barian world and Astral world, I highly doubt it since his deck focuses more on Aztec monsters, not monsters Barian or Astral themed.
Now who gave him his cards, and his curiosity in his deck as a whole? His father.
Byron Arclight was a researcher and went on an expedition to find a gateway to an alternate dimension, along with Yuma’s dad Kazuma, and Kaito’s dad Dr.Faker. Perhaps the world they were looking for wasn’t Barian or Astral world, but instead the 5Ds dimension.
Theory 3-Every being has a counterpart in Barian world and Astral world.
This one is probably the biggest stretch, but hear me out. We already know reincarnation exists, due to Nacsh and Merag reincarnating as Rio and Ryoga, and Rio reincarnating as Iris, but what are the chances Nacsh and Merag would look exactly like the twins? My theory is that every person has an astral world and barian world counterpart, someone who looks nearly or completely identical, and when one being dies, their counterparts do as well.
Using the example from earlier, Nacsh and Merag not only look identical to the twins in their human forms, but they also died around or at the same time as the Kamishiros.
And what about Iris? I believe she is Rio’s third counterpart, who would originally be in Astral world, but die along with the twins and be rebirthed in Barian.
Theory 3.5-Mizeal is Kaito’s counterpart
Going off my last theory, I believe Kaito’s counterpart would be none other than Mizeal. Why? Both have the same blonde hair, ridiculous white pants, and same blue eyes. Each also wields a Galaxy-eyes and are prideful and arrogant. “Don’t they die at different times?” I hear you asking. Well if it’s believed the counterparts die *around* the same time, instead of exactly, then the theory still checks out, as Mizeal died fighting Don Thousand less than an hour after Kaito’s moon death.
So these are my theories for Zexal! I’ll probably have more soon, I think about this series way more than I should.
It’s 2:30 am, I should be asleep, please accept this beautiful boi’s gifs
So I didn’t feel like drawing elaborate costumes so instead, you get my attempt at normalizing some of the Zexal cast’s hair. I honestly gave up on Vector, his spikes need to be spiky, please accept my attempt.
IV is not pleased
