Kuwei: guest alto saxophone that is only there for one piece
Heskall: conductor

Me vs the urge to write a modern college au where the entire plot is that Kaz somehow got a grill into his dorm and is selling paninis for super cheap and the RA (Van Eck) is NOT thrilled in the slightest

I just finished Six of Crows so spoilers for that if you haven’t read it (you’ve been warned)
I knew some things going into shadow and bone and talking to others who’ve read the book but nothing. and I mean nothing could have prepared me for illiterate Wylan. when Van Eck started saying how he didn’t care about his son and how he wouldn’t be a true heir I filled thought he was gonna say something like “he’s not my heir because he’ll never have an heir of his own!” and just totally out him as gay and be homophobic but then come to find out he can't read!!?!?!?? it just absolutely came out of nowhere and I was so not expecting it.
it’s literally the thing I’ve been thinking about most since I finished the book. definitely the biggest plot twist for me. Like Jesper's a Grisha? yeah ok. Nina takes the drug? exciting but not shocking. Wylan “chemist, mathematician, and map maker” Van Eck can't read? absolutely bonkers, never saw it coming, I thought his dad was just highly homophobic

leigh bardugo can keep soc3, i simply don't want it.. knowing her she will not let kanej or wesper both simultaneously have a happy ending which means someone is gonna die and i simply cannot handle that pain again
Truly love your wesper drawings!!! You mentioned taking suggestions so may I just say forehead kisses? The best kiss imo.
Regardless you have a gorgeous style that captures those two boys so tenderly and perfectly and I will always be excited to see more!!

I've just recently finished reading Six of crows and Crooked Kingdom, SOOOOOO here's Jesper and Wylan :D
First of all, I hate netflix and I'll rant at them in a separate post, but for now I'd like to say how grateful I am for Shadow and Bone.
Last summer I randomly bought Six of Crows, just because I'd vaguely heard of it and the Shadow and bone books and show and I'd heard they were good.
To be honest, It took a bit to get into soc when I was reading it, but once I understood what was going on, I could not put it down and had to buy crooked kingdom and all the sab books and I watched the first season of the show immediately after. I have never loved a book this much, and the grishaverse was by far my favourite fantasy series, if not my favourite book series.
I was so invested in these books and the show and I wish I could read and watch it all for the first time again.
The show is probably my one of my favourite book adaptations and I could not believe how good the cgi was and how beautiful and detailed the costumes were, how much effort was put into the set, and how perfect the cast was, especially the crows cast, I'm very upset that we won't get a spin off, but in my opinion what we did get was so good, and nothing can ruin my love for six of crows and shadow and bone,
So thank you to Leigh Bardugo, the cast, the writers, the costume designers, the producers, everyone involved in this series for giving us such an amazing fantasy show
I bought the collectors edition of Shadow and Bone and it had a netflix sticker on it??!

So I just had a thought,
I read online that SoC is set roughly 3 years after SaB, so the crows would've been age 13-15 during the SaB trilogy, and I was just thinking like how funny would it be if they were those ages in the show like imagine the Darkling getting bested by fourteen year old Kaz

I've finally finished Shadow and Bone Season 2 so here are some of my thoughts :

STURMHOND OMG
Kaz's backstory scenes were done so well
Tolya and Tamar are iconic- Tolya's so sweet with his poetry
Daisy Head's performance was SO INCREDIBLE she was perfect as Genya
Nina being a queen as usual
Srurmhond's ship was so cool
The Darkling and Alina's scenes were exactly how I imagined them in the book
WESPER !!
Jack Wolfe literally IS Wylan he was so good, and he wrote his own piano music apparently? And his lil goggles and his facial expressions aw he's perfect
Kaz covered in blood-
THE HALLUCINATION SCENES
The kanej scene in the last episode- Freddie and Amita killed it, I could literally see Kaz thinking 'you, Inej, you' 😭

Overall, I really enjoyed this season, It was very different to the books and some of it did seem rushed, but I didn't mind at all.
The writing could've been better but the cast was amazing, and I really hope we get a third season
Anyways, stream and rewatch shadow and bone season 2 so we can get that crows season !!
