John and Paul moments in Midas Man part 1
You are the killing the romance Ringo, they are on a date
Why I’m obsessed with this scene from Get Back - Part 3:
A very human Paul McCartney being nervous and anxious about the progression of the project.
Paul’s only responding to John and discussing his worries with him and remains quiet while the others talk.
Several people trying to talk to John but his eyes constantly shift back to a silent Paul (of course the camera decides to zoom in on John’s face at that moment)
John’s attentiveness and trying to talk Paul through his worries.
George’s coat.
Happy November 12th everyone
You can tell which of the Beatles wrote each song cuz it’s usually like
Paul: I love you I love you I love you I love you (watch out there is a homicidal freak in your area and he IS going to get you).
John: I hate myself and want to die but also I’m on a lot of hard drugs, so that’s cool I guess (I love you too Paul).
George: I’m spiritually enlightened and also I smoke a lot of weed.
Ringo: the ocean. Sea creatures and submarines.

“John and Paul are essentially a legendary world-changing love affair that ends in heartbreak — like Burton and Taylor, but with no touching. They are the thing the other was looking for. A major part of their lives was settled the day they met at Woolton fair — they were completed, reborn and undone with each other.” (Caitlin Moran)
“Out of the mouth of anyone else, “John” is just a name, a mere monosyllable. But when the name is uttered by McCartney, the ghostlike presence of John Lennon suddenly descends on the evening. Lennon’s name, so simply invoked by McCartney, takes on the power of a talisman, conjuring up an entire shared cultural scrapbook of images defining musical collaboration and the purest of camaraderie. McCartney owns the pronunciation of “John” the way Katharine Hepburn made “Spensah” Tracy her own.” (Interview with Paul McCartney, 2001)
what if I just jumped off a bridge
I know the movie is about Eppy but a girl can dream
it’s so rare to see actors who FOR ONCE respectively resemble john lennon and paul mccartney, those two guys who play John and Paul in midas man really fit their vibe, can i slide some pound notes over the table so they can star in their own mclennon inspired film !!!!!! I’ll pay for their wigs!!!!!!
now they're frightened of leaving it
everyone's weaving it

basically the beatles being as cute as fuck
People questioning the whole re-release of Now and then 50+ years after the Beatles broke up is missing the point. The song is a gift to us who are lucky enough to enjoy the magic of the Beatles, of course, but it was never made for us. Alexis Peditris described this perfectly in the last paragraphs of his review for the Guardian:
This is McCartney letting go. This is him saying one last proper goodbye to the people he loved the most, the music that defined his life, his past mistakes, his wrong choices, his "what-ifs", his family, alongside Starr, the only person who knew exactly what it was like and who's been on this journey with him together.
This is the end of 40 years of grieving that began when that gun was fired in front of the Dakota in 1980 and continued when Harrison left them on a bed in his house in 2001.
This is him, at 81 years old, knowing this could be his last decade singing the songs that he wrote with John and George because there in the songs there will always be a part of them with him, and finally being at peace with it.
This is him saying,
Thank you for the good memories.
Goodbye.
Crying my eyes out when I started watching the Now and Then documentary.
The video started with Come Together's opening riff, how symbolic is that?
"I am ready to sing for the world." John Lennon says, not something we heard for the first time.
But still it made me cry.
I really lost it when John's voice came through with the help of technology. Paul announcing and "then, there it was John's voice crystal clear":
and know it's true, it's all because of you. And if I make it through, it's all because of you.
And then with the additions of Paul's bass, Ringo's drums, George's guitar, violins and orchestra in beatlesque fashion, of course it's going to be amazing.
It's the last Beatles record.
How gut wrenching and beautiful. Four lads from Liverpool still conquering the world in 2023.
John looking mischievously Paul while the pretty boy is oblivious
Jeremy just wants to escape from the creepy hug
Bonus
Paul is so happy to fly, he is too much innocent in this movie, a wild John behind him as usual
redrew a comic i made when i first saw some bits from the Get Back documentary
