The theme for this issue of the Tea, Toast & Ghosts zine is "What's your favorite part of Lockwood & Co.?" with a twist:
We challenge you to frame your piece as something you might see in one of the gossip rags Lockwood loves to read in his free time.
For example, if your favorite part of the show is the costumes, create art of your favorite character in street fashion! If you love Skull's snarky commentary, write an editorial from his perspective! We encourage you to push your creativity to its limits.
Contributor Applications open July 31st. Stay spooky 👻⚔
Idea: Lockwood & Co + The Magnus Archives crossover AU
I always draw Annabel Ward when I feel uninspired
What kind of music do you think Lockwood & Co listens to?
I think I should let the internet know that my mum believes in lesbian Holly
Holly Refrence Drawing which I decided to render
(Ignore the weird hand positions)
I found a very very old comic about that moment in the 5th book
I finished Lockwood & CO (the books), and now I feel empty
A starless night
Blursed headcanon: Lucy and Holly read warrior cats as a kid. One of them makes refrence to it not thinking about ut and the other ends up death staring them. The unspoken bond
The Hollow Boy
The Lockwood&Co main characters are all trans, they told me themselves (real)
She's everything I think about
I have way too much time on my hands
Drawing a few characters from the books (only posted Lockwood & Lucy here) started so that I could imagine them better, but now I'm invested and I wanna start a project where I draw all characters + side cast and locations and items and I know that I'm gonna stop after a few characters but on the other hand it would be nice to get myself back into character design and animation that way
My mum finished the Lockwood&CO books yesterday (I'm only on book 3, but I'm reading) and she's miserable because we don't have Netflix and she can't watch the show. So every coversation between us today was basically: "Hey mum, I'm gonna make some tea, want some too?" "THE THING THEY TRINK IN THE LOCKWOOD BOOKS? I FINISHED THEM AND I MISS LUCY AND LOCKWOOD AND THEIR DYNAMIC AND EVERYTHING"
or
"So mum, how was your day?" "HORRIBLE, I DON'T HAVE ANYMORE BOOKS TO READ" "Well, there are some nice books like-" "THEY'RE NOT LOCKWOOD AND CO AND THEY DON'T HAVE LUCY AND GEORGE AND LOCKWOOD AND HOLLY AND-"
So I learned that my mum is way too attached to the Locklyle ship and the l&co universe.
Anthony J. Lockwood (his legs are too long, yes, but I'm not going to fix it)
Didn't really capture his likeliness but I don't care
My interpretation of Lucy Carlyle
It's October and I am reading Lockwood&Co right now so I drew Annabel Ward
(I also can't believe that I firstly post on tumblr in 2023...)
Love how L&Co. fans and Shadow and Bone fans collectively came together to hate netflix
Alright, LockNation, it's getting close to vote for our favorite ship
Locklyle Propaganda:
"Lockwood is a homeowner at age 15 and he wanders around it drinking tea and charming people into giving him yhings. Lucy carlyle is a hotheaded aggressive and EXTREMELY powerful agent in his ghost hunting company. They both get shit done but in OPPOSITE ways. They have an interes5ing way of rejecting traditional gendered tropes- the sensitive dude and the bullheaded girl- that is both simple and INTENSELY complicated within their narrative, which i think qualifies them for the title."
"she is the protagonist of the series, a once in a generation prodigy, the most powerful listener since Marissa Fittes, the list goes on. He likes to drink pulpy orange juice and strain it throught his teeth to pretend to be a blue whale"
"Imagine a buff kind of irritated teenage girl with a sword. No, shes even cooler. That's better. Now imagine a rich preppy guy. No, thats too much like Patrick Bateman. Think Artemis Fowl. Ok youtr there. Hope yhis helps :)"
"they are PERFECT for each other. she recognises the subtleties in his smiles and he allows himself to be vulnerable in front of her"
Layclaire Propaganda:
"THEY ARE SO- Ok first off their relationship is the first time in the series where we see Hershel in a state of emotional vulnerability. Usually he's cool and smart but in the scenes where he's with Claire he's just a blushing bashful mess oh mygoodness he's so precious. Claire in comparison is more outgoing and confident and it makes for a really cute dynamic. Also she's a phycisist who helped make a time machine what's more girlbossy than that. Anyway she deserved better. Layclaire deserved better. We need more Layclaire fluff in the world."
Do your thing LockNation

Jean Discole: (Via @mistresshasty; tw kidnapping)
Saw his parents kidnapped. Violently. Then he was left alone with his kid brother to report this to the police when he's all of 8yo. This man's name isn't even Jean Descole. Descole is an alter ego for his other alter ego, Desmond Sycamore. Why? Because he GAVE HIS NAME AWAY to his younger brother so said younger brother could be adopted in his place after their parents were kidnapped. Like legit, people came and said they could only adopt one kid and Descole straight up said, yup, my kid brother, this is Hershel, not me, nope (shut up Theo, you're Hershel now.)
Then fast forward to adulthood where he's finally healing some of the Trauma, only for his wife and daughter to die mysteriously (though its heavily implied it was by the same people who kidnapped his parents.) Then, as he's getting his revenge on that organization, guess what? The leader is his long lost father who went crazy after his wife (Descole's mom) died in captivity. Descole has 0 chill because he has had 0 breaks in life.
Oh, and one last kick in the face. The titular character of the series, and Descole's arch nemesis, Professor Layton, yeah, that's the kid brother Descole gave up his future for. He deserves to be a dramatic bitch. He's earned it.
Lockwood:
Vote for Anthony Bloody Lockwood!! ⚔️
Shadow the Hedgehog: he's such a broody guy... with such a tragic past... and so many identity issues..... maria............
