thiiis is a tricky one, if i’m honest with you. we know very well that rakan is into love – he demonstrates this through his love for xayah, where he willingly travels with her, protects her, cares for her enough to state that “I can feel her worry. She’s smarter than me about so many things, but foolish about love sometimes.” he’s experienced with love. he loves her enough to even state “I will tickle her later. We will laugh and drink. She will plan and I will sing. I feel her cheek on my chest. I’m glad that Xayah needs me now.” rakan loves xayah. he’s the light that will shine through that storm in her heart, clearing those skies for her to smile again. with this established, we know rakan feels strongly about love & his love for another. in that case, why would i be struggling to choose one or the other? well, lust is there more covertly, conceptualized in rakan’s character through bits & pieces of disloyalty. there’s hints through in-game voice lines that he can be a little…ready to have fun outside of love. that might make me think that he does put some semblance of importance to lust. lust is more about a quest for sexual pleasure, be it brief or long-term. whereas love is more so falling for someone, the components of lust becoming a secondary interest here, whilst the first interest is keeping that person safe, happy, & overall just enjoy any moment with that person. be it when they’re in peril or just relaxing, lazing around, watching the clouds up above. anyway i rambled a lot sorry LFJHLDFHJF       ///       @cnpluria

hmm, i’m going to have to say yes, personally. rakan seems like the type of guy who’d easily be incredibly protective of his lover – this is made a little evident in his interaction with xayah in the in-game voice lines? where he says:

and i think that demonstrates his level of protectiveness when it comes to someone he truly, deeply loves? he’s willing to put his life on the line for that person, no matter the circumstance. it’s very much, indeed, a selfless part of him that’s explored more in his star guardian skin. to summarize, though: he’s protective. very protective to the point he’d die for his lover. but, that’s how i see it!

hey i’m literally a dumbass that loves poetry and LOVES to project don’t ask me this question. rakan does have a way with words, but i like to think that’s mainly because of the songs he’s learned and sings. regardless, he probably does fumble a bit with his words if he doesn’t know what to say exactly. it’s customary.

he struggles with it! this comes from the fact he’s very indecisive and has to put a lot of thought into thinking what his partner likes, and thinking abt what to give them? is it something they’d like? if it’s not, what else is there? are they really gonna like it? he deliberates over those types of questions and, as such, takes way too long to get a gift for his partner.

i like to think rakan’s good at flirting! albeit a little cheesy if i’m honest with you. it borders being way too sappy, and it can get really lovey dovey but it can also be bold and he’ll straight up call you sexy and call that flirting. to sum it all up: if you can kick his ass, he’ll flirt with you. but, i like to think some of his flirting can be genuine and some of it is just to have fun. u know!

i’m not……….sure so let me try to answer this as best i can. i look at his lore n i’m like ok! he was intrigued by xayah and followed her for a while before he ended up falling in love with her. he took his time to understand her and her ideals before he gave his heart to her. and i think that means he’s slow to give his heart? in the same breath, i do want to think he can be easy to give his heart away because his voice line when he kills her is literally just “i am single now!” and i’m like FDLJHDGKLF SO! it’s really gray i’ll say. if you can hook him, maybe he’ll give it a little quicker, little slower. what’s more important is how genuine it is, whether or not he views you through rose colored lenses before giving you his heart or acknowledging your flaws too.

i like to think rakan’s a good kisser! but this comes mostly from my own speculation that he’s like…….got experience w/ it from how much of a charmer he is, if that makes sense? there’s those kisses he’s had that didn’t really mean anything, and then there’s the kisses he’s shared with xayah that mean the world to him – both require a different level of skill, i like to think. one’s meaningful, deep, and the other might be more hedonistic in nature than it is significant to him. that skill comes with the experience of him being a good kisser, though!
