A Comment From Cinema Therapy’s Video On ‘Loki’.

A comment from Cinema therapy’s video on ‘Loki’.

Transcript and extra notes below:

I...disagree with the idea of Loki being a narcissist.

Acting out the way he does isn't just a trait of narcissists but also of people with low self-esteem, (I should know, being someone who has acted in such a way myself in the past.) Loki was clearly constantly put down by others, disrespected by who he thought were his people, and generally considered 'lesser' to Thor for most of, if not all of his life for seemingly no reason at all. (He 'feels' he's in Thor's shadow because he blatantly is. There's clear favouritism not just from Odin, but from all of Asgard.)

He never wanted the throne, nor did he actually want power or popularity, he just wanted someone to tell him that he was worthy, he wanted someone to tell him he was worth something and that he wasn't a monster like the other Jotuns were. (This is far clearer in the deleted scenes, where Loki hesitates to take the throne in the first Thor movie, and even looks to his mother, the only person who really seemed to love him, before taking it. As well as his clearly more lovable interactions with Thor before it was revealed that he was Jotun.)

I mean, hell, he tried to commit suicide at the end of the first Thor movie when his father, whom he tried to get recognition from, and who was certainly the biggest issue with his self-esteem, rejected him yet again.

I feel like this is most prominent when you take into account that he IS a Jotun, a being that he was raised to hate and fear. He believes he's a monster, and that coupled with his already problematic self-esteem just makes it apparent that he has the exact opposite problem that a narcissist has.   He does deeply care for other people as well. Frigga being the biggest example, in Dark world, he was heartbroken and devastated by her loss. (And the fact that the last thing he said to her was that she 'wasn't his mother' certainly didn't make it better.) Or in Infinity War, where he recognizes Thanos' plan to kill 'half' of everything, so, seeing as he's one of two brothers, gets Thanos to kill him so Thor will get out safely. Literally sacrificing himself for his brother, who he, on all accounts, shouldn't have cared enough to help there if he was a narcassist.

The mind stone and the sceptre weren't mind controlling Loki, but it was messing with his head, as is seen in-universe as well as mentioned in interviews. This is seen where he stabs Thor, as he's clearly shaken by what he's just done, even if you can only see this reaction for a few moments. He also doesn't believe in what he's saying in Avengers when he's telling the people around him to kneel, that's why Phil claims that he lacks conviction: Because he really does, he's doing all of this because he's hurting, and the mind stone is manipulating him, he doesn't actually believe anything he's saying there.

Before anyone brings it up as well: Ragnarok and the Loki TV show are pieces of MCU lore that should be taken with a grain of salt. Many things said in Ragnarok are inconsistent with the other movies (See Sif apparently having to prove that women can be warriors, yet, the Valkyries existed. Or the fact that apparently the Valkyries died before Thor's time but Thor always wanted to join them? Or the 'we were eight at the time' line, when Thor and Loki, being Asgardian/Jotun, age differently than humans, so by that point, would've actually been infants. The Loki show as well, Sylvie and the entire situation revolving around that comes with many character and story inconsistencies, such as magic seen not working in the TVA but apparently Sylvie can still use it in another episode.)

Basically, from where I'm standing, this diagnosis doesn't seem to make any sense? It makes more sense to say that he's faking narcissism just so he can look strong and more in control, while on the inside continuing to feel unworthy and unlovable. Lashing out not because he's truly hateful, but because, as you've said in another video: 'Hurt people, hurt people.' (Again, something I have sadly been through.) I'd also like to point out, in this way, his mischief seems more like a cry for help. As many will point out, if someone is neglected enough in early life, they're likely to develop a mentality of 'any attention is good attention', which seems to be pretty in-line with a lot of 'mischief' he pulls.

But hey, I'm not a therapist, and that's just my opinion.

Note: Narcissists aren’t inherently bad people. Don’t write them off as ‘evil’ or ‘monsters’. Not all of them are. Putting everyone in boxes like that for mental disabilities or neurodivergence is doing nothing but perpetuating harmful rhetoric and harming people.

...With that being said though, Loki ain’t it, chief.

Real talk though: Cinema therapy’s video on Loki is stupid as hell. ‘Loki genuinely believes he is superior’ is a direct quote, and as you can read from the above post, that statement is blatantly wrong on its own.

If I got anything wrong, feel free to mention so. I want to be sure I get as much correct as possible in this as not to miss anything or perpetuate any harmful stereotypes, I just went off of what was described in the video.

“What if I was a robot and I didn’t know it?” (Old)

AU idea: (Android-Loki AU by myself, lol. Though I’m sure someone else must’ve thought of this, haha.)

Possible trigger warnings?: Parental neglect? I mean, it’s Loki, he’s the poster child of parental abuse/neglect. Brief mention of a mortal kombat fatality-style death.

   Full idea below:

We’ll call this Loki...Lodroid? Just for the sake of simplicity. (I might come up with a better name later.)

In this timeline, Lodroid was made as a ‘companion’ and ‘protector’ of sorts for Thor, as he was an only child in this universe. Everyone but Thor and Lodroid knew about it, but Odin made it an unspoken law to never mention it to either of them.

Lodroid was programmed with a ‘self-awareness protocol’ that basically forces him to avoid any thought or idea that he’s robotic. So, his mind forces him to avoid the thought subconsciously, which would be overridden by any physical proof that this is the case. (Thus why nobody is allowed to mention it.) Lodroid is also pre-programmed to see Thor as his brother and Frigga/Odin as his parents.

‘Magic’ infused within Lodroid’s body made him capable of magic on his own, as well as casting a disguise over his robotic body to make him seem organic. (Like how he was cast over to not look like a Jotun in the OG universe.) His robotics also made specifically to seem as ‘asgardian’ as possible. (Ie: He can eat and drink, which is turned into fuel to power him, he needs sleep, he feels pain, he feels emotion, etc.)

For many years, he ‘grew up’ alongside his brother Thor, Odin, and Frigga. (Odin still neglected him, he was still ignored and basically bullied by the other Asgardians, etc. Frigga still was kind to him though, still seeing him as her son, even if he was artificial, as she knows that he still has emotions and thoughts.)

So, it basically remains pretty similar up until the events of ‘Thor’. When they end up in Jotunheim. Here, Lodroid’s arm is grabbed by the Jotun, but instead of turning blue, his skin starts to crumble like it does for everyone else. Lodroid panicked and in pain, lashes out. Remember when I said he was a ‘protector’ as well as companion? He was outfitted with weaponry, which only activated here, when both brothers were in critical danger. Lodroid’s palm fires a blast of highly concentrated energy, which basically fires right through the Jotun (Fatality, Loki wins)

Of course, this wasn’t normal magic, Lodroid was well-aware of that as soon as he realized what happened. But if not his usual magic, what was it?

Thor gets sent to earth, and Lodroid goes mad trying to figure out what it was. Then, it clicks. He finds the beam matched that of the destroyer's almost exactly. Lodroid figures out that there’s an enchantment cloaking him and while standing in front of a mirror, uses his own magic to override the illusion. Only to be met with a terrible sight.

Lodroid is met with mechanics, metal, and two green, glowing camera shutter optical lenses. (I imagine it looks similar to a mixture of C-3PO and a terminator.) And now he can see it: ‘Self awareness protocols disengaged’... ‘System procedures visible’...  ‘Information overload in progress’... ‘Emotional levels reaching critical’...  ‘Systems crashing’...  ‘Oxygen levels compromised’...

This is the point he’s found by Odin, who finds him staring at his uncloaked appearance in the mirror. ‘Meltdown in progress’. However in this version of events, due to his not actually being organic, he’s disallowed the throne by default as he’s not recognized as Odin’s ‘real son’. (”Was I just some toy for Thor to play with until he grows bored of me?! What would you have done had you no use of me, would you have thrown me into a scrapyard?!”)

Frigga tries to get him to calm down, oh how she tries. But Lodroid, unable to access the destroyer’s might, is basically forced to confront Thor on his own. Thor doesn’t recognize him at first, as he’s still uncloaked here, but Sif and the warriors definitely do. It’s a shock to the senses for Thor, who up until now was also in the dark about it. Sif and the others are convinced that Lodroid is irreversibly off the deep-end, Sif even mentioning in passing that she ‘saw this coming a long time ago.’ (Insert Darcy making a robocop or terminator joke, you choose, lol.)

The fight is way more emotional than you might think it is at first. Lodroid and Thor basically ending in a tie as Thor basically tells Lodroid that regardless of what secrets may be hiding, that he’ll always be his brother. (He deserves a semi-happy conclusion to this, you can’t tell me otherwise.) Big difference in this timeline: Lodroid doesn’t go back to Asgard. He says he will once they try making the trip home (with some side eyes from Sif and the others.) but when they arrive in Asgard from the bifrost, he’s not there.

Nope, Lodroid left sneakily. He’s off to try and figure out what to do next after this huge revelation/identity crisis. But that doesn’t mean he won’t end up appearing for ‘The Avengers’. Thor is kind of bummed out, because he can’t find his brother, but hey, at least he can visit his girlfriend here instead of just disappearing, eh?

This post is getting long so I’ll leave this here for now. If people like it enough I might make a sequel for ‘The Avengers’.  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

No thoughts, just marvel crossover AUs

Okay, I cannot stop thinking about a ‘How to train your dragon’ AU for Marvel.    Would Thor have a Thunderdrum or would he have a Skrill?    Loki with a Changewing perhaps? (Or maybe throw a Nightfury at him for the ‘misunderstood’ points?)    Hela might have a Wooly howl to replace Fenrir? or maybe a red death for the boss battle points?    I’m also fixated on the idea that Tony has a Sword-Stealer.

That and a Pokemon AU:    My immediate thought for that being Loki having a Suicune, Thor having a Raikou, and Hela having an Entei. On top of that, they each also have a legendary bird? Loki has Articuno, Thor has Zapdos, and Hela has Moltres?

My thoughts on the 'Happy ending AU’

As much as we all like to imagine a universe where Loki survives Thanos and joins the Avengers in some ‘good ending’ plot line... I genuinely don’t think he’d be an Avenger for very long, if at all.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he can’t ‘be a good guy’ or anything, but I can’t see him being an Avenger. Not only because of his bad rap with earth, not only because Thor is involved and their relationship is rocky at best, but because of the other characters.

I have no problem believing that Bucky, Steve, Thor, Vision, and maybe Bruce (Seeing Ragnarok) would be willing to give him a chance. Strange and T’challa... maybe, if simply because they weren’t really involved with/aware of his ‘mishaps’ in New York. However, the others? ...I genuinely can’t see them being too welcoming to him. Especially Tony, Clint, Pietro, and Wanda.

The situation with New York I imagine would hit a little too close to home for Wanda and Pietro, so they’d at the very least be wary of him at first. Tony and Clint on the other hand, would be unabashedly cold to him. I can see Tony even borderline bullying him sometimes. (Using him as a punching bag because he was the root cause of his trauma from NY? Maybe not purposefully, but I can see him subconsciously targeting him for that reason.)

Other characters like Sam, Peter P, and Scott would probably only have known him through the news and other things detailing the events of the disaster, so would most likely see him as a terrorist. I don’t think I need to explain why that would cause some issues.

Because of this animosity, I don’t see Loki being able to be an Avenger. Not because they wouldn’t try, but because Loki just wouldn’t be able to stomach the treatment he’d be levied.

Honestly, he might be similar to Natasha in that regard. Wanting to ‘clear his ledger’ and believing that joining a group of ‘heroes’ would help him redeem himself. Only this time, instead of it being filled with hydra members, it’s filled with people who treat him just like everyone in Asgard did when he was growing up.

A chance he’d be given, but some characters would give it reluctantly, and some would keep treating him like a criminal until he eventually just gave up and left.

Dunno, that’s just how I see it. Don’t let me ruin your fun though, a ‘happy ending’ is definitely deserved for all of these characters, so feel free to disregard this little angsty headcanon of mine, lol.

Also, if you disagree and think I’m mis-characterizing someone or missing a piece of info, feel free to explain why. I like having discussions about stuff like this, haha. ^v^

Incorrect marvel quotes

Thor, approaching the massive fortress of ice Loki constructed, followed by a small army: Brother! I am here to reclaim my place next to you! As we used to have in the old days!

Loki, addressing the Jotuns with him: Hold your fire, boys.

Thor: Tell your men to lower their weapons, I mean you no harm!

Loki, shouting: Thor, put your hands up so I know which one is you!

*Thor puts his hands up*

Loki, turning to one of the Jotuns: Kill the one with his hands up.

Avengers AU crack headcanon/scenario:

Steve decides to start incorporating team building exercises, with the real problems being Pietro and Wanda’s trust in Stark and the mutual trust between Loki and Thor. (As well as Loki and everyone else, except Peter P.) However, Peter decides to suggest another way of doing things after noticing everyone’s starting to get really bored of the old methods from Steve’s era, as well as many of them getting into fights during the exercises.

So Peter decides to suggest to Steve that they do something else, at least every other time they do these exercises. The suggestion is a bit strange to Steve at first, but after encouragement from an eavesdropping Sam, they decide to go through with it.

Next thing the public knows, word goes out that the Avengers have a YouTube channel. Sure enough, a channel featuring everyone doing miscellaneous tasks and challenges could be found.

Most of the team were hesitant about it at first, that is until some of them started getting fanmail and gifts sent to the tower.  Tony gets letters from people who look up to him, Bruce gets letters from people giving advice on how to keep calm and empathizing with him in some cases, Loki even gets a few letters from people about how ever since he became an Avenger he’s become their hero, etc.

They basically end up becoming internet personalities by accident, and their team building goes from rocky and hating being on camera, to suddenly becoming more of a team and gaining trust with one another subconsciously while being preoccupied in trying to entertain the audience/fans.

-And that’s how the Avengers crew ended up getting into social media.

It basically ends up being like ten minute power hour, lol.

Pietro x Autistic!Gender neutral!Reader Headcanons

-Sometimes he gets carried away in the moment and doesn’t realize if he’s bothering you. Being loud and having super speed can do that. However, he’s also quick to notice your discomfort and will often make an attempt to rein in if he’s being a bit...too much. (That and Wanda will also make a habit of reminding him if he’s not remembering.)

-He picked you up and ran off with you once. The result really depending on your reaction to it.

If you found yourself overstimulated, he ends up being incredibly hesitant to use his super speed with you again.

If you really enjoyed it and are sensation-seeking, he’ll most likely use any and all opportunity to pick you up and run around with you again.

Either way, he tries to warn you in advance just so he doesn’t catch you too off-guard.

-He definitely has stolen fidget toys for you before. And he’ll do it again.

-If you’re touch adverse, he might need some time to get used to that, he’s a very physically affectionate person. But he is very willing to show his affection in other ways.

If you aren’t touch adverse, be prepared for a lot of PDA.

-Someone’s being ableist to you and he sees? Two seconds later, they’re stuffed into a trash can. He’s very very petty about ableism towards you. When you look at him afterwards, he’ll look at you with this big smile.  “I bet he didn’t see that coming.”

-He obviously finds it really hard to sit still, so most of the time, he doesn’t even notice your stimming. In a way, you could say he stims as well, so he’s probably the most casual about it out of all the Avengers.

-His first instinct, whenever he sees you having a meltdown, is getting you away from wherever you are and taking you somewhere isolated and quiet. (Whether he uses his super speed to do this or not depends on your reaction to it as stated above.) From there, he’ll attempt to calm you down and help you relax.

-Talking about your hyperfixations is something that generally happens mostly in the gym while you two are training. Pietro may seem like he’s not listening sometimes, but if you stop talking he’ll instantly ask why you’ve suddenly gone quiet.

-Not getting sarcasm and sass is something that Pietro and you might need to work through considering... I mean, he’s Pietro, his first language isn’t Sokovian, it’s sass. This is also the one thing that kind of frustrates him, but he’ll usually brush it off, after all, it’s not more important to him than you are.

-Pietro finds it much much easier to sleep when you’re with him. If you have trouble sleeping due to your Autism, he’ll often make little ‘nights’ with you, where you’ll both stay up and just spend time together until you both eventually crash. Maybe not the healthiest of strategies, but it usually works.

Loki: General romantic headcanons

I’m using ‘you’ for simplicity. Honestly, these are just my thoughts/headcanons as to what a relationship with Loki would be like in general, so it’s not really specific in terms of who it is in the relationship with him.

Feel free to discuss or give your own opinions/headcanons if you’d like.

This is also gender neutral, I imagine he acts the same with a S/O of any gender. Because Asgard just be like that.

-Whether you’re an enhanced being or not, Loki is very ready and willing to take up arms for you at the first sign of danger. If someone threatens you, he’ll tap them on the shoulder with the scariest expression imaginable, “Would you mind repeating that?”  If you get kidnapped, there’s a 60% chance that Loki’s on his way to kick some ass (With a 40% chance that one or more of the Avengers are trying to hold him back so they can assess the situation first.)

-If you know how to fight/are enhanced, you two often end up being a combat duo and honestly make the most effective badass power couple in the Avengers, besides Wanda and Vision, of course.

-Loki, at first, if you’re midgardian, will end up being extremely careful around you. He’ll basically treat you like you’re made of glass, any wrong move he makes might hurt you in his mind seeing as, from his experience, midgardians are so fragile. Regardless of whether you’re enhanced or not. It takes a lot of convincing and reassurance to get him to relax. (This is a hurtle you have to jump before he feels confident in fighting alongside you as well.) This, of course, does not apply if he’s already well aware that you can handle yourself in battle. (For example, you’re an Avenger and you two have fought side-by-side multiple times, or sparred with one another.)

-If you ask to come to Asgard, he might bring you along. Don’t be surprised, however, if he ends up using his magic to make you look like an Asgardian if you’re from Midgard. (Because he was very vocal about judging Thor’s relationship with Jane, and he’d rather not be made fun of for the ironic hypocrisy.) As for the other realms? He may take you to see them depending on which realm we’re talking about. (Alfheim and Vanaheim in particular are ones he likes to visit. Jotunheim on the other hand? Over his dead body.)

-If everyone knows about it, he will gladly show off. He flaunts his relationship with you, and you yourself, to everyone like you’re the finest treasure in the universe. Basically saying ‘They’re my partner, not yours. Jealous?’

-If you’re in a relationship with him, I cannot imagine you haven’t already seen his Jotun form by that point. The biggest hurtle(s) for any relationship with Loki are his secrets, insecurities, and fears. Thus, if he really does love you and trust you, it’s because he knows you accept him wholly and completely. Thus, you’ve seen it. (Note: He’s still not going to take this form often, he just wants to be sure you wouldn’t believe him to be a monster and/or abandon him.)

-Once you break through the above barrier, this man is probably one of the most compassionate people out there. If people prove their fidelity and care for him, he’ll treat that person like gold. Though most of the softer moments happen behind closed doors, as he’s not very into PDA. (Though that’s not to say he’ll stop you-)

-He’s not the kind of person to make you jealous. After all, he’s your partner, you chose one another for a reason.  If you try to make him jealous though, he’ll realize what you’re doing and take it very personally. The only time he’d ever make you jealous on purpose is if you attempted it on him, because this man is petty. Though do bear in mind he will confront you about how immature you’re being regardless of if he takes the petty route in that situation or not. hypocrite

-He doesn’t really care about appearances. Sure, having a pretty S/O is nice, but that doesn’t really matter to him when compared to genuine care and compassion. This extends to aliens and mutants with major appearance changes too. Neurodivergence and disabilities are also something that doesn’t bother him generally. Though you’ll probably have to explain some of them to him, as he doesn’t really know that much about modern midgardian terminologies/diagnoses for things like that. Autism? DID? Tourettes? Deafness? Muteness? He doesn’t care.

-What he specifically looks for in a partner is loyalty especially, with compassion, empathy, and a decent sense of humor. (Some impishness is also up there on his list.) Common interests are another plus, and will usually be one of the first things he notices.

-Things that will usually make him nope out of a relationship are actually pretty low-bar standards if I’m being honest: Abuse, General lack of care for him, Extreme entitlement, Insert hate-based group, i:e racists, transphobes, etc.

-I’ve already mentioned before that I headcanon one of his love languages to be physical touch. He’s touch starved, please give him affection.  However, at the beginning of a relationship, he’ll find the idea of...actually having a loving relationship to be very hard to get used to, so he probably won’t initiate any physical affection at first regardless of if it’s in private or not. But, gradually over time you’ll notice him being a bit more physically affectionate and bold in regards to touching you. He’ll stand closer to you more often, he’ll put his hand on your shoulder randomly, he might even start kissing you on the temple or forehead on occasion, etc.

-If you cannot fight, he will teach you how to defend yourself. This is non-negotiable. His mother was murdered in his absence and that fact haunts him well into any ‘real’ relationship he forges, friendship or otherwise. So, he’s certainly not going to let you waltz about without knowing how to defend yourself in case something happens when he’s not around. If you already can fight, he’ll train and spar with you.

-He will stick to you as much as possible. He wants to spend a lot of time with you (Another love language), so don’t be surprised if he ends up popping up every so often to check on you, or asking you when you’ll next be free for some quality time together.

-Dates with this man are immaculate. He pays a lot of attention to how you feel and what your interests are. He’ll then take this information and use it to construct a date that he thinks you’d enjoy.  You like sci-fi? Well, he knows a beautiful alien planet you two could explore! Gemtones? Oh, you just so happened to stumble upon a crystal cave with him!

-He does a lot of silent admiration from afar. During those moments, there’s a lot that goes on in his mind. Specifically, wondering how you could possibly love him when he’s done so much. New York, Helping Thanos, Attempting to destroy Jotunheim, the multiple attempts on Thor’s life, etc. The fact that you can even accept his Jotun ancestry, something even he himself can’t truly accept, amazes him. He really doesn’t know what he did to deserve someone so accepting and loving in his life.

-It’s not always sunshine and smiles of course. Communication of his own emotions is not his strong suit, but he’s very perceptive of the feelings of others, so he’s very willing to talk to you about your issues or concerns. He’s very good at recognizing when something’s wrong as well, so often, you won’t even need to ask him to talk, he’ll already be sitting next to you, patiently waiting for you to begin the conversation. Meanwhile, he has a habit of pushing his emotions down and thinking that if he ignores them they might go away. He’s also very good at hiding it, so that’s certainly something you two need to figure out. Arguments happen, but rarely last long, as he’s good at recognizing when he made a mistake.  “I understand, I’m sorry I made you feel this way. I promise I’ll try to be more thoughtful of you from now on, [Name].”

-He doesn’t really do anniversaries? It’s an Asgard thing, there’s no real ‘milestones’ for relationships, so if you want anniversaries, you’re going to have to explain it to him.

-He really tries his best to be as good a partner to you as possible. He places your needs squarely above his own, especially in dire circumstances.

-Pet names. He will use them, and absolutely melt if you use them too. Call him ‘your prince’, ‘sweetheart’, ‘darling’, ‘luv’, any endearing little name like that, he’ll love it. (He also doesn’t care if you call him those things in public either.)

-He’s such a tease. He’ll flirt with you in hushed tones when nobody is looking, his goal being just to see you turn red. If something ends up happening after as a result? ...That’s just a happy accident.

Cynophobia (Bucky x M!Reader)

Trigger warning: Mentions of blood, implied dog attacks.

It wasn't supposed to be much of anything. Just get in, get it done, get out, nothing more. But the moment the 'winter solider' walked in, things seemed to get out of hand instantly.

Suddenly, he was running as fast as he could down a hall, his heart pounding in his ears. Blood poured from a new open wound on his leg, but he was so hyped up on adrenaline that he didn't even notice.

He could hear them, the growling, the roar-like barking, the sounds of their paws hitting the ground as they rushed after him. He stole a glance for only a moment, seeing the blood-shot beady eyes, the saliva, and sharp fangs still coated in red. It was like he was being pursued by demons!

Finally, his leg caved in under him. As his head hit the ground, blood started to seep from his nose. He looked up just in time to see the four monsters leap for him and-.

Bucky awoke with a start, jerking himself up into a sitting position as his mind reeled and his heart raced. It took him a moment to register where he was as he realized the mattress was drenched in sweat.

He took in a deep breath, the following exhale trembled as a shiver ran through his body. He could practically feel their hot breath on his skin again as he reflexively gripped his leg. The bite was gone, nothing but a slight mark left behind that was barely visible. Though knowing that didn't make it any easier to swallow with the lump in his throat.

He got up from his bed and left the room, wandering down the halls of the tower until he found himself in the kitchen. He took a glass, but as he went to get some water, he paused. God, how much better he'd feel if he had a strong shot right now.

It wasn't good to do it, he knew that, but waking up in a cold sweat after being reminded of one of the most terrifying moments of his life? It made the taste of Tony's stash of liquor seem so sweet.

He turned, convincing himself that he wasn't actually going to take any; he was just going to look.

"What are you doing up so late?" (Y/N) was suddenly standing in the doorway. It never ceased to amaze him how easily this guy could just appear without being detected; Almost like he had some kind of silent teleportation.

"Nothing." Bucky muttered. "Just getting a drink." The man leaning against the doorway raised an eyebrow.

"...Then get one." He nodded towards the sink, clearly very aware of what Bucky was about to do. Bucky sighed, turning to do just that as (Y/N) continued. "What's wrong? You look like you were running from the grim reaper."

"Nightmare." Bucky's voice was hoarse, his body was covered in sweat, and he had deep bags under his eyes. All of that came from a nightmare? Definitely not what (Y/N) expected. (Y/N) uncrossed his arms and walked a bit closer, letting his steps sound as not to spook him when he reached out.

Bucky felt (Y/N)'s hand gently touch his shoulder as he practically inhaled the water. "It was about your time as the soldier, wasn't it?" An exasperated sigh left Bucky's lips, putting the glass on the counter.

"What else would it be about?"

"Maybe your fear of dogs?"

"I don-" Before Bucky could get the words out of his mouth, he paused. He looked back at (Y/N), who gave him a little smile back. "How did you-?"

"I make it a point to learn all I can about my co-workers. Especially the good-looking ones." Bucky rolled his eyes. "You're pretty secretive about that in particular, though; It kinda makes me wonder why." Bucky turned, attempting to pass (Y/N), only to be blocked with an arm to the opposite shoulder. Bucky looked to find a surprisingly empathetic expression on his usually sarcastic and childish face. "Y'know, this type of thing just proves something." Bucky raised an eyebrow. "Monsters can't feel fear, neither can weapons. So, since you're afraid of something, that just proves you're more than that."

Bucky's expression morphed a few times but settled on a subtle smile. "Besides." (Y/N) added with a chuckle, "It's nice to know that all we have to do to snap you out of it is throw a pomeranian at your ass." As bad-taste as that joke might've been, Bucky couldn't help but chuckle under his breath. Bucky and (Y/N) split in opposite directions as they entered the hallway. "G'night, tin man!"

"Goodnight." Suddenly, the nightmare was far from his mind. The joke about Bucky's fear forcing away the panic and the comment about it proving his humanity made him feel... better. ----------------------------------------------------------

Author’s note: My very first time writing for Bucky, how’d I do?

D’you know what we need?

A Merlin TV show-style series about Thor, Loki, Sif, and the warriors three in their adventures before the events of the Thor movie. Please.

Even if it’s just a mini-series, I need this in my life.

Adventures in Asgard and the other nine realms, the team of six going on quests and battling to keep the peace within them. Odin and Frigga behind them to send them on those journeys, all the while cutting back to them every so often to show some political intrigue, the tense atmosphere of their relationship, and just to what extent they favored Thor over Loki.

Showing the daily lives of Asgardians and, hell, maybe cut to Laufey sometimes and show the events going on in Jotunheim as well? Maybe that point when Loki showed them how to get through to Asgard in the Thor movie wasn’t the first time he’d ever helped the Jotuns? The others just never caught onto most of it, or if they did, they just never told anyone for fear of Loki being exiled or something?

Maybe even show Loki having a thing for Sif, then eventually confessing his feelings only to get rejected as Sif fell for Thor? That’d be interesting! Especially since Sif was in love with him in the comics. (I know people don’t like love triangles, but seriously, they can be done well.)

I mean, especially the warriors three, at the very least. Because we BARELY knew them from their short time on screen, and they definitely deserve some love.

Maybe you could even show a few flashbacks of things that happened with Hela and Odin? That’d be interesting to see! Gives her a bit more character fleshing-out while also possibly giving some context for stuff that happens later? Cutting back between Hela’s time with Odin and the Brother’s time with him?

Bottom line: Someone at Marvel, or Disney, or whoever else- please, make this happen! (Bonus points if, because Marvel was bought by Disney, the series has musical elements to it. Seriously, I will die on this hill, a marvel musical would be amazing.)

“IronStrange shippers ship because they hate Steve.”

Ok so this might be long but I want to get my point across. People don’t understand that not all IronStrange shippers hate Steve Rogers. I am an IronStrange shipper but I am also a Stony shipper because, considering the facts about what happened in Civil War and what he did to Tony, that was unforgivable, yet, I still adore Steve. He is a great character and a source of motivation to younger children, so he shouldn’t be hated like this. What I am about to say goes for both Stony and IronStrange shippers. Stony shippers shouldn't accuse IronStrange shippers cause they hate Steve because some of us don’t. We ship this duo for a reason. Tony and Stephen deserve to be together. Both humans have had some trouble in their lifetime. Both have lost something dear to them and they love so much. Tony - His parents, Stephen - His career. Both trying to find a way to get themselves back on their feet, leading them to be great heroes and saving many lives. Although they are arrogant, deep down inside they both have their soft side which they hide from public eyes. They both need someone who understands each other, someone who will be there when they break down, someone there when they need little cuddles of comfort once in a while. Both have been mentally, emotionally and physically hurt in their life and both deserve happiness with each other. That is why IronStrange is a beautiful ship. Basically, if you love this ship as much as I do, you consider the reasons why you should put these two characters together and that’s what makes IronStrange move loveable by the second.
