🎶 Cuz mama I’m in love with a criminal 🎶

Zemo was definitely making some points in the last episode. Pardon the first image, I didn’t use a reference until I was almost done with it, which seems counter intuitive.

While I do think there are some inherent similarities between mcu!Sam and Steve, I also think there are some big, key differences that is going to make Sam!cap so interesting. Sam is actually a soldier. He’s been a part of the military. He’s seen the not just the horrors of war, the idealistic kids being killed or turned into killers, BUT he’s also seen just how bad the military complex is. He’s seen how poorly the VA is funded, how many vets are left behind. He saw people who joined the military simply to murder foreigners, or had misplaced and racist ideas of the war in the middle east. His experience and perspective on it is, I believe, a lot more nuanced than Steve’s is, and a lot more realistic. A bit of a side note on this, but I was just thinking about Sam’s perspective on Bucky in winter soldier - he’s seen how war transforms men, he’s seen the aftermath in a way Steve hasn’t, and knows that sometimes people can’t come back from it. He’s not wrong to point out the dangers and disagree with Steve on how to approach the situation (this is the point! Sam has different reasoning + opinions than Steve! regularly! They share a lot of similar morality and characteristics, but they’re also very different!).

I think Sam, while still headstrong and even a bit reckless at times, is more conscious of his decisions (and the potential consequences of them), mainly because he has to be. He’s a black man living in America, he doesn’t have the luxury of just doing whatever the fuck he wants, whether he’s cap or not.  Plus he actually understands the experience of being marginalized (and specifically a black person) in modern america in a way Steve just can’t. He has more patience, and has more to consider when making decisions about his actions as cap. Moreover, he likely feels more responsibility, and every decision bears more weight. He is absolutely carrying the mantle as his own, but there is a legacy before him that people will compare him to no matter what. He’ll also face far more criticism for each mistake, and every decision will be picked apart in a different way than Steve’s ever were. That’s got to impact on his character development and his story as a whole, and thats going to be interesting to watch unfold. 

This doesn’t mean though that he holds back, or that he won’t step in when there’s something wrong going on. He still has his own moral code and set of values that he sticks to strongly, even in the face of danger/ostracization (exhibit A being him adamant against the accords, and being the first member of the avengers to argue against them). I think it’s more that he has to be diplomatic about certain things, or at least that he’s aware of how his actions will be perceived differently than Steve’s would, and that influences his decisions. 

There’s also some obvious differences too, like Sam has a far different family dynamic than Steve did/does (pls can we see this @ Marvel), and of course different personality traits, life experience, and so on. We haven’t seen nearly enough of Sam as an entity on his own, and I hope we get to experience that more in TFATWS. There is still definitely strong parallels between Steve and Sam’s ethos, but they’re still distinct characters and I want to see Sam Wilson explored!

Anyways I was just having some thoughts (and honestly I’m barely scratching the surface on this topic) and wanted to write them out so feel free to tell me i’m wrong and why, and honestly pls discuss your opinions (and what you want or are looking forward to with Sam as cap)!

The MCU: 2014-2021

For real, this movie looks sick. And FINALLY they’re giving a villain a R-Rated movie. Ugh, I can’t wait for this.

I beg tho, please don’t be as disappointing as Morbius or Venom. They had great trailers but let’s be honest, they weren’t the best (especially Morbius).

But only time will tell. And if I have to watch this movie for Aaron alone I will do so without shame!😅

So my week is going very bad. I’m calling it my “emotionally damaged week”.

On Monday I rewatched Squid Game and was emotionally damaged by Ali and Sae-Byeok’s deaths.

Then on Tuesday I’m more than excited for the Better Call Saul’s episode and I am utterly destroyed by Nacho’s final stand. That broke me and I’m crying for the rest of the day.

But for Wednesday, I was expecting laughs from Moon Knight especially how Ep 4 finished. Then … Steven 😖.

I’m emotionally damaged and I’m only halfway through the week!😭 How can things get any worse?

I swear …… TO GOD!

Tobey Maguire Entrance, No Way Home (Theory)

So this is my theory to how Tobey Maguire Spider-Man could enter No Way Home. And it involves Doc Ock. So in the trailer one of the last shot is of course the MAGNIFICENT Doc Ock rising up with a grin saying “Hello Peter”.

But I don’t think he’s talking to Tom Holland Spider-Man. After all this is a new universe. Doc Ock doesn’t know anyone here. He doesn’t know Peter (Tom) and could possibly assume he’s an imposter. I think this is when Tobey Maguire will arrive!

So here’s my theory. Peter (Tom) is gonna be travelling somewhere to fix what’s happening. With the help of Green Goblin sh*t will inevitably go down. I believe Goblin is in this seen is if you look in the background the bomb is near some cars and the bridge exploding.

This is when Peter (Tom) will donn the Iron Spider suit and fight. Maybe by this point Andrew Garfield Spider-Man might’ve showed up as well and in this fight will take on Green Goblin.

At some point Doc Ock will gain the upper hand, have Peter (Tom) pinned down and one of the claws in the air ready to strike him down.

When suddenly it will be stuck to the ground with some web. Both Peter and Doc Ock will be confused as the other Peter (Andrew) is too busy with Green Goblin. That’s when Doc Ock will turn around, the confused look melting off his face and breaking into a grin as he utters the line:

“Hello Peter”

Que the original Spider-Man music, the camera is panned down at someone’s feet as they charge at Doc Ock. They shoot out a web, narrowly missing one of the claws and kicking Doc in the face, helping Peter (Tom) get away. We only see the back of the stranger and the front of Octavius as the person lands at a height and distance away.

“Good to see you again, Doc” the person quips as the camera slowly pans around, revealing the OG SPIDER-MAN!!!!! Tobey Maguire!!

Then the fight continues and either the villains or Spidey’s retreat.

But that’s how I think it could happen. Like I said, Octavius doesn’t know Peter (Tom) is the Spider-Man of this universe. He only knows his Spider-Man (Tobey) and would only say hello to him.

Now seeing how we have Doc Ock, Green Goblin and Electro confirmed in the trailer, all we need now is Lizard, Vulture, and Michael Mando in a Scorpion suit and we got Sinister Six!

This is just what I’d like to see happen. Oh boy this is the best Christmas present ever! See you on the 17th of December SPIDEY’S!!

This scene killed me. It’s SO goddamn powerful and heartfelt. I cried.

When I first realised they were at the museum I was like ‘oh my god!’ and Isaiah’s face as he saw what Sam had done for him, uh, tears were just flowing.

Such a powerful show that deserves to get the love and recognition that Wandavision gets!

Spider Man Far From Home (Mister Negative) Theory

So this is something I noticed.

In Spider Man Far From Home, Aunt May works at a homeless shelter for those who lost their homes due to them being gone via the blip.

In the game, Aunt May is doing the same with boss or coworker (I can’t remember at the moment) Martin Li, who later turns out to be the villain Mister Negative.

So here is my theory, what if the MARVEL is going to introduce Martin Li into the MCU to, later on, become Mister Negative and face either Peter or another hero.

steve: tony's been in his workshop for four days straight, what do we do?

peter: don't worry, i've got this.

peter, yelling: SPIDER-MAN IS A USELESS HERO AND WILL NEVER BE GOOD FOR ANYTHING

tony, crashing through wall: nOW LISTEN HERE YOU FUCKING JACKASS

Tony: Isn’t it supposed to be “you saved my life, now I owe you”? Peter: Nope. The other way around. You saved my life, and now I’m your problem. You don’t like it? Kill me. Okay i know steve isn't alive anymore (sobs) but when that shield got thrown in that truck fight scene before it panned to walker, i actually thought it was steve and i am sobbing😃
