Nah because this is absolutely true. G1-g3 toys were so much better. And the shows feel like a warm blanket,
Still thinking about g1 ponies. Such good quality, easy to clean, decently cheap for the time. $10 or less, with accessories. The accessories sucked quality wise but you got what you paid for. The hair does fade and dry over time but theyβre easy fixes. You can reweigh and reshape the vinyl too. As well loved as g4 was, the dolls could never compare to previous generations. Even g3 had embedded rhinestones or clothing packs you could buy separately.
I honestly find the cartoon pretty comforting too. If I want story I go to Friendship is Magic but if I want safety and gentleness nothing beats g1. Even the colors reflect this.
Anyways I might post some pics of my 5 ponies, including Sweet Stuff and I might do some plushie stuff too. Iβve been putting off a commission for a pony plushie for a hot minute so this might be my time to get off my ass
I WANT TO COLLECT MORE PONIES AND WATCH THROUGH ALL OF G1 CONTENT BUT IM STILL ON G4 AAAAAHHHHHHH
I haven't watched any g5 content yet. However, during a rant about the MLP franchise doing call-backs to gen 1-3 ponies, I found this!! Posey from g5!!! Same cutie mark and everything!
I had no idea they did this. It's probably common knowledge among g5 fans, but it's super cool to me. I'm excited to see if they have more instances of this after I finish my g4 rewatch.
G5 leaves a sour taste in my mouth without even trying (let me be gate-keepy about my ponies in peace) but I'm willing to give it a shot and I will attempt shelve my nostalgia for FiM I'm order to give an honest review. Stay tuned folks π«‘
I was watching a movie the other day and I heard the word "everybody" but my brain autocorrected it to "everypony". I think I'm cooked.
Hi!!! I would love any advice I could get on the restoration of this cute lil Half Note pony I recently got. She came with paint and a couple marker stain on her, all of which Iβve been able to get off, but I have this weird stubborn stain right in the front on her bent hoof.
I have tried most things I have seen online, (dawn, warm water, acetone, vinegar, baking soda) but I have had not success, not even a budge :/.
Are there any other suggestions on what I can possibly do for her? Advice would be sososososo appreciated!!
