So... is it just me or do Levi (Attack on Titan) and Perry the Platypus (Phineas and Ferb) have the same vibe?

Finally setteled on one re-design for the Venus spy i was roleplaying as since 2019-18? on jeja.pl meme site. And my friend asked me to again draw the dream his brother had about them in maid dress and brain-controlling snail on head .

I used to draw them every month heh :p Down part was supossed to be more alieny since the start, but i never designed it before. Overall new design is more Venus worldbuilding and story heavy then for silly drawings, but personality stays the same, the drama-loving dumbass who seriously shouldn't work at the research station with soft spot for human humor.

Listen to me. Listen. There's a quiet wonderful family thing about Perry pretending to be completely dumb and mindless around the boys and yet they have flawlessly assimilated to A LOT of his character traits/quirks. Like he's leading this double life, but the life he shares with the boys is still HIM, and they've clocked onto how he ticks very well.

They trust him implicitly to get himself out of situations when they see he's gotten into them. They can tell he runs on some sort of Platypus schedule and subconsciously follow it until there's a deviation and they start to worry. They are totally respectful and give him lots of space to laze around and nap without bothering him directly. (couldn't be me)

They also can tell when he's having a bad dream based on the sounds he makes while sleeping. They know the exact right way to pet him for maximum enjoyment. They have an automatic awareness of his proximity while they're asleep because he likes to switch cuddle buddies during the night. They can even tell that he loves music - which, hardened secret agent or not, he actually does. I mean he will even dance by himself in his lair if good music is playing.

Perry likes to jump with them on trampolines!!

That one wasn't relevant to the discussion I just wanted it on the table because it's happened a few times I think, and that boy ACTIVELY participates.

The ironic part about headcanoning Perry the Platypus as intersex is that the opposite of intersex is actually called perisex

I think the fandom tends to depict Monogram a bit too harsh sometimes. I mean, sure, he doesn't pay Perry well enough and doesn't give him much free time, but that's not necessarily up to him. He's constantly praising and congratulating Perry even for smaller accomplishments like making a cool entrance into the lair or wearing a good disguise.

He worries for him and asks him to be careful during missions.

He organized a birthday party for him even if he got the dates mixed up.

He was literally bawling his eyes out when Doofenshmirtz made all those clones and framed Perry for evil, and he was crying in happiness when Perry proved his innocence.

Sure, he's far from perfect both as a boss and as a person, but he is trying, except maybe the way he treats Carl. That's pretty messed up. But I think he genuinely cares about Perry. He knew him since he was a little baby platypus and watched him grow into the best OWCA secret agent. Of course he's proud of him.

Also, Perry is far from submissive. He respects Monogram to a certain degree, but he won't hesitate to let him know exactly how he feels. Monogram knows what each sarcastic look and side eye Perry gives him mean and acknowledges his opinions and objections.

My point is, Monogram and Perry might be boss and subordinate, but in a very casual, chill sort of way.

Sometimes I think how Phineas and Ferb get Busted might have my favorite Canderemy dynamic, and then I remember this was all Perry's dream. And the funny thing is that it's actually pretty obvious. Candace and Jeremy drove a flying car, scaled walls, wore disguises and went undercover. You can definitely see how Perry's spy mind came up with this, even the academy style summer school setup might be reminiscent of his training days.

Especially here they both have that Perry vibe and look in their eyes, and they seem a bit more athletic than usual.

So yeah, this is essentially Perry's subconscious Canderemy fanfic.

Also, gotta appreciate how Candace leads the dance and Jeremy's massive golden retriever energy.

In conclusion, Perry has impeccable taste and headcanons, and is one supportive platypus.

Rethinking Phineas and Ferb episodes in any human Perry AU is kinda wild because sometimes you get funny little moments like when Perry drew the map of Hawaii using the sand in his litter box.

Human Perry could just say: "Yo, fam, let's bounce to Hawaii!" Ooooor he could spread wet toilet paper in the shape of Hawaii all over the bathroom floor like a crazy little maniac. The funny thing is both are equally in character because yeah, he's that extra.

No no no. Quickly, Perry or Candace, one of you do the Ryan pose! He was my favorite. Don't leave my boy out 😭

I think it's mostly because Perry is technically paid to visit Doofenshmirtz every day and listen to his evil plans. Yeah, I doubt OWCA expects Perry to provide actual comfort or support for his nemesis, which he does anyway, but it's still his job to stop Doofenshmirtz by whichever means he sees fit. Perry knows when to use force and when to use empathy and that's why I always loved his character.

People who have the "Perry the Platypus is Doofenshmirtz' therapist" headcanon , Do you never had a friend that you think therapists are the only people who listen to you? So fucking sad...

I rebloged this before, but I thought I'd also share my human Perry separately

My version of human Perry is a bit different than most. He's about 22 years old, Phineas, Ferb and Candace's older brother and Linda's adopted son.

He's acearo, completely verbal (mostly for plot-related reasons). He's somewhere on the ADHD spectrum and gets bored very easily even in the face of life-threatening situations if it's something he's seen before.

He doesn't mind blood and has an incredible pain tolerance, yet he's a big germophobe and really hates dust.

He is Monty's role model and Monogram thinks of him as a son (much to Carl's frustration). He's also an honorary Doofenshmirtz. He loves Vanessa like another little sister and Doctor D's crazy antics always manage to put a smile on his face when he's having a particularly bad or dull day. No Perryshmirtz though. Heinz is really more of a quirky, fun-loving uncle we all wish we had

Yes, finally someone said it! Listen guys, I'm all in for representation and all, but I think people who make human Perry short and mute are kind of missing the point. Perry is short and mute because he is a platypus, not for a platypus. He is at least avarage size compared to the other platypuses we see in the show and he definitely can comunicate in the usual way with other animals.

Like that one time he asked that beaver to free him from his bubble.

Even Layla seems perfectly able to understand what he's saying for some reason.

And if it's because of that time Phineas and Ferb built an animal-translator, I'm pretty sure he was just trying to keep his cover so he just made a random noise.

So yeah, I don't see any reason why human Perry couldn't be verbal.

Why's perry the human always mute? Dudes always talkative as an ANIMAL people just cant understand him. Its more realistic if human perry speaks only Ferblatin or something like that with doofenshmirtz to fuck with him and then goes home and speaks normal english with the flynn fletcher family
