đĄď¸| just an idea Iâve had in mind for a long time, fluff, john is the captain of the royal army and youâre the kingâs niece, of course laaaaarge age gap as always, john is in his mid 40s and reader is 21, innocent n obviously virgin cause yeah
your fingers moved like a gentle, intimate lover against the pages of your book, bestowing your gaze to the the following chapter as you turned the pages â the early afternoon sun was your favorite, casting a golden and bright glow inside your room, shining over the walls like sunlight tapestry, and wrapping you in a blanket of warmth.Â
a hand tapped against the back of your door, a feeble sound that pulled your eyes towards it like an invisible hand on your chin â you waited for the maid to let her presence be known, but only her voice echoed through the wooden door.Â
âYour majesty, the Captain of the royal army is here, heâd wish to be attendedâ
you blinked your eyes, as sweet as a spring apricot, and carefully closed the book, placing it on the shelf of your window seat. Your uncle wasnât home, meaning the Captain shouldâve waited for his return, to be received â you were alone, reading in your chambers and spending your time between the loving hugs of your books, but as the only member of the royal family present at moment, you were expected to receive anyone who asked to be greeted.Â
you were the youngest, barely even legal, and as the first niece of the king, who didnât have any children of his own, you were loved as his own daughter, earning the title of princess âÂ
you walked nervously towards the living room, mentally praying your uncle could come back soon, having absolutely no clue what you could possibly serve the Captain with â the only things that occupied your mind, heart and free time being books, people from the village, animals and dresses. You had hoped a chaperon lady would accompany you, but rather you found yourself attending your duty alone.Â
the creamy walls of the living room would have usually caught your attention upon walking through the room, with their soft and delicate color you liked so much, but this time, your eyes focused solely on the man standing right in front of the large window.Â
your heart stilled, blood rushing through the quickening beats of your young, innocent heart and flowing into your cheeks, painting them a bright shade of red.Â
âYour Majesty,â his voice rumbled like the far call of a distant thunderstorm, gruff and husky, and that roughness only fueled your blush as he walked closer, âCaptain John Price, at your serviceâ his hand, large and warm, gently took ahold of yours, bowing ever so slightly and pressing a light kiss on your palm, never adverting his gaze from yours.Â
Captain John Price, a seasoned veteran of the Royal Army, stood as a paragon of discipline and unwavering resolve. His grizzled appearance, with a salt-and-pepper beard and weathered features, spoke of years spent on the frontlines, facing battles far from the safety of the royal halls â he reminded you of a grizzly bear.
clad in the dark, ceremonial armor of the kingâs elite forces, he bore the weight of his rank with quiet authority â standing tall and broad-shouldered, he exuded the rugged strength of someone who had spent decades in the service of the crown. His build was muscular, honed from years of battle, and you, a young and blooming little girl, thought that he resembled the âbuffâ body your many romance books told of..
his face was a map of his past: weathered and scarred, the lines of age and experience etched deeply into his skin, and you found him to be attractive, rugged in a charming way, with his thick, graying beard and mature lines â his hair, once a dark brown, had begun to turn a slight silver at the temples, he was clearly much, too much older than you, old enough to be your own father, seemed to be the same age as your uncle (little did you know, theyâd known themselves for years)
âyouâŚâ your eyes flecked over his, seemingly starstruck, a naive awe that made you stare at him, blushing heavily, heart almost pounding out of your chest, briefly forgetting about your manners â but you quickly tried to regain your composure, shaking your head lightly and giving him the hint of a shy, sweet smile, lashes blinking delicately at him.
âplease, sir, no need for such formalities, Iâm not my uncle,â
he straightened his back, allowing his gaze to travel slowly, appreciatively along your whole body, such a young, pretty thing you were.Â
âIâve heard youâve been looking for my uncle, but heâs not here unfortunately, soâŚâ you nibbled on your lower lip, tilting your head âI donât think I could be of any assistance with any of your questions regarding the, uhm, army.â
âIâm aware of his absence, princessâ the corner of his mustache twitched slightly, âI was told upon my arrival, but I must make the most of my time no less, cannot go back to my soldiers without a royal summon, it is important for the upcoming missionâ
you blinked, twice, dumbfounded, âyou need a..royal report?â
âyes, princess,â he replied, authority and confidence dripping from every word, making a warm, unfamiliar tingle fill your belly, a knot that made it hard to breath âthe king and I have decided that I shall come here to gather decisional informations about his will, before having my army carry their swordsâ
âI, well, have no idea what his will is, the king will definitely be more useful with his own judgment,âÂ
he looked at you with an unreadable expression, entertained by your humble tenderness, politeness and sweetness, he could practically taste the inexperience and innocence dripping off you, and it made something stir deep inside of him, a growing, illicit hunger and desire
maybe it was your dress, how it ended slightly above your knees, it wasnât long and luxurious, but rather short and modest, your long hair didnât carry a large crown, but a thin, sparkling tiara that possibly weighed less than his sword. âwhat about you, princess?âÂ
âme..?â you hesitated, slightly lifting your brows, you? what could you possibly know about war? âpersonally..in my modest opinion, I ween you should simply interrupt the warâÂ
stupor crossed his intense, calculating eyes, and you expected him to laugh at you, but a spark of amusement came by his gaze, curiosity even â how odd, for a princess as young as you, to reveal such a drastic measure
âInterrupt the war, you say?â
âI, uhm..â you timidly shrugged your shoulders, your fingers fidgeting with your ring â his eyes fell on it, awareness grew into his war scattered, old heart: a purity ring.Â
âI must admit I keen nothing about the current war, but if I have learned something, is that it can never bring anything good, and people should simply cease them, just as easily as they start them,â you dared a glance towards his unmoving stance, his eyes bore focused on yours, and youâd ever felt so seen or listened before.Â
âtheyâre unnecessary, just an arrogant and terrible way to prove strength, and..wellâ you swallowed on your own words, shyness wrapping around you like your so loved lace ribbons, and gave him a gentle smile âIn my humble opinion, that course of action may not be the best, im a firm believer and defender of kindness, even between enemy legionsâ
he smirked, dozens and dozens of years behind his back, and heâd never come across such a pure innocence before â oh, dear, protected by the nightmares of this world, the reality of war, so naive it made him almost undeserving to stand in such a pure presence.
he only shifted his position, unclenching his jaw and regarding you with slight tilt of his head, âwell, princess, Iâll make sure to take your advice at heart, though I must admit, if it were this simple, I would not still be fighting battles since before you were even born, your highness,â
âi admit it might sound juvenile coming from me, i know my uncle owes you deep respect, and although this is my first time seeing you, Iâve heard about the many conquers under your name, sir,â you blinked again, your big, doe eyes tantalizing the hunter inside of him â youâd never seen him before, only heard about his reputation in the army, and wished your uncle had introduced him to you. âtherefore, Iâm flattered to be able to stand before you, Captain Priceâ
who knew the king had such a young, sweet little niece? you looked like a trembling fawn underneath his gaze, a fragile bunny wrapped in innocence, someone who could use his protection, whoâd look good sitting on his lap, who could be the perfect trophy and gift for an old, experienced, weary soldier who served the crow his entire life.
he grinned, knowing what to answer the king, next time he asked him what he desired as a offering gift for his service to the crown.

âËŕż Fairy Tale Love đđËâ
You walk around the ball room in your long sparkling gown, the color matching the theme of the room. Music plays along to your slow stride as you look around bored bowing your head to new guests as you continue your way to any type of entertainment.
You were of age to find a suitor and your father was holding a party just for that, much to your disputes it was set in stone. Being the daughter of the Overlord you had to learn to hush and go with your fathersâ schemes, being his only heir as your motherâs unfortunate passing at the age of five you became a puppet on his strings. Too dull to fight against him and his cruel ways, however, you kept your motherâs heart. Being kind to your maids and butlers, showing generous acts to your citizens away from your fathersâ eyes. You enjoyed giving to your subjects promising to the day of your fatherâs death bed that you would turn this kingdom into your motherâs image.Â
You just had to get through each day and not slowly lose your sanity.
You sigh as the fifth guy comes your way grabbing your hand much to your annoyance, âmy arenât you gorgeous~â the man kisses your gloved knuckle as you huff a forced smile. âThank you thatâs very kind of youâ the man seemed to enjoy that as he continues to speak much to your displeasure.
âI am prince Shade of the Shadow kingdom it is a pleasure to meet you princessâ you hum as you keep up formalities trying to you look for an escape. âOh yes, the pleasures all mine, now excuse me I have to attend to some things, please enjoy the party!!â you spoke quickly twisting your hand away from him as you rush out.
Prince Shade calls for you, but you keep going, running out and closing the door behind you.
You take a deep breath, the sound of muffled music behind you had you sigh with relief.Â
You walk down the dark hallway, large windows being the only light as the moon shines. Your heals clack down the hall as you reach further down towards the garden doors to your quiet place, you open the doors as you slip your shoes off, feeling relaxed as your feet didnât ache anymore from the uncomfortable shoes.Â
You follow the bricked path as you drag your fingers over each flower you passed, feeling its soft petals kiss the tips of your fingers making it to the center of your motherâs garden. Looking up the moon shined so pretty tonight, the glow in your eyes starts to gloss over as you finally felt safe to let out your emotions.Â
âIâm surprised to see you out here.â you gasp looking to the voice that broke your safety net, you glare at the guy in front of you.
âAre you lost?â you cock your head getting a good look at the guy, he looked to be your age. You knew every guest coming to your party, but him. You couldnât place a finger on.
âAre you? Thereâs a party happening for you in your honor and youâre missing itâ you huff, who was this guy, âmy affairs are none of your business now, go enjoy the partyâ you wave him off as you walk out the garden the boy following you.Â
âI apologize for offending you⌠Iâm not used to partiesâ the boy chuckles awkwardly as he scratches the back of his head looking down at you.
âI can tell.â You look away still walking,Â
âBut you did look bored, I canât blame you though, no offense but this party is a drag...â the guy looks around at the many paintings for your family, seeing a childhood painting of you and your mother smiling made him smile.Â
âThen why are you here?â you questioned, âno choice, was dragged here Iâm at the age of marriage and take on my fatherâs placeâ the guy shoves his hands in his pocket shrugging seeming a bored at the idea as you. You look at the guy and raise a brow, âwhatâs your name?â the boy stops and grins, âwouldnât you like to know~â the boy sticks out his tongue and walks away, you blush at the armature answer.Â
âH-hey! Get back here!â you race after the boy as he starts running down the halls away from you laughing, the dress you were wearing was not made for running. But the beat of your heart didnât want you to stop as the boy turns the corner, you chase after him as you catch him,Â
âAh-hah-mmph?!â the boy grabs you and covers your mouth you look up about to kick him when he points to a guard. You instantly stop as you both remain quiet; they mutter something about being their imagination as they walk away.Â
Your back was pinned against the guyâs chest, you were so close that you could hear the racing of his heart. You try and calm the blush in your cheeks as you look down at the hand covering your mouth.
Youâve never been so close to a boy before; it made your stomach do flips and your heart flutter at the same time.
He smelled like pine needles and very small hint of rosemary.
You hear the guy sigh in relief that you both didnât get caught, but then he starts to laugh, you jump at his playfulness as you push yourself away from his hold. âWhat is your problem?!â you jab a finger into his chest, he only laughs as he doubles over trying to catch his breath. âs-sorry, but the way you were running, haha-you looked like a toddler, haha!â you blush as you watch the guy continue, âh-hush, running in this is difficult!â you hiss, but after a while his laugh becomes contagious as you laugh along with him recalling how awkwardly you were running.
âWas I truly that bad?â you giggle covering your mouth, âyou were hilarious!â the boy and you continue laughing that it hurt you hold on to his shoulder for support as you shake your head.
You finally calm down as you look up to the boy who had his hand out, you stare at it for a moment before placing you gloved hand in his. âThe names Lloyd of the dragon kingdomâ you pause as Lloyd shakes your hand, âyour father is Lord Garmadon, h-he has a son?!â you spoke in disbelief as Lloyd chuckles.Â
âYep, I was kept a secret for protection, but now Iâm older and know a few moves and got knights watching my every move. Which is why I walked out from the partyâ you hum thinking the guard you saw must have been one of Lloydâs knights. âI understand, the party was too stuffy for me, I was getting an ache in my back every time I had to bow.â Lloyd laughs at your joke as you blush, feeling something fuzzy in your chest liking how Lloyd laughed at your humor.Â
âThat I can agree onâ Lloyd looks for a clearing as he grabs your hand leading you back to the party, âyou got good music playing though, would you like to dance?â Lloyd looks back at you waiting for an answer as he still had his hand in yours. Your voice was gone as your lips parted like a fish trying to find the words Lloyd smiles tilting his head as you watched his hair follow.
Before you could answer the doors swing open, to reveal a boy a bit older than you in red armor. âHey, there you are, you had us chasing you around.â The boy spoke in irritation as Lloyd scratches the back of his head chuckling, âjust went to get some air Kai.âÂ
âyea yea whatever.â Kai looks to you then stands straight not expecting to see the Overlords daughter, âpr-princess.â Kai bows as he takes Lloydâs wrist forcing him to let go of you as his knight drags him back to his group,
âIâll see you on the dance floorâ Lloyd calls as he was dragged away, you stare back at him as he reunites with his family Garmadon scolding his son for running off as Lloyd just looks anywhere but the old manâs face.
You knew where he got his looks from now, Lloyd follows to your gaze and waves to you getting slugged in the head from his father earning back the boyâs attention as they squabble. You couldnât help but chuckle as you look to their dynamic you could tell there was love in Lloydâs life with caring knights and father. You wished for that as well,Â
â(y/n).â a deep voice rung through your ears as you jump your father at your side with crossed arms, âI have been searching for you, how dare you waste everyoneâs time with your absence.â He snaps as you look down a quiet apology escapes your lips. âGo for the next event and donât disappear this time or Iâll burn that wretched garden down.â Your father seethed, you look up and frantically nod as you raced to the circle where prince and princesses danced, you took the hand of a guy and begin to dance pushing in and out to each other following the beat of the music he twirls you to the next person as the music continues.Â
You look away for a second to see Lloyd twirl a girl in his arms his eyes looking to you with a smile, you blush as you were two people away, the anticipation in your heart made your hands sweat. Before getting to the next person, you take off your gloves feeling them grow damp, the guy seemed to notice as he grimaced making you self-conscious. You try and fit your glove back on, trying to keep on beat. You could feel your fathersâ eyes burn the back of your head making you even more nervous.
Without realizing it you bump into Lloydâs chest you gasp as he takes your hands, and smiles, you feel your tense body settle.
He twirls you but he doesnât let you go, making you blush, he brings you closer to his body you felt warm, dare even say safe.
As the song comes to an end you both bow putting a close to the dance. Lloyd looks up as he lifts his body before yours, he brings your bare hand up to his lips and places a quick kiss on to it.
You felt your face and heart explode as you swoon, a smile on your face as you lift your body.Â
âLl-âÂ
âEnough!â you jump at your fatherâs cold voice, he stands from his chair as he stomps your way, Lloyd scowls as he puts you behind him making you even more nervous. His knights were quick though as four of them came in front to protect Lloyd, âGet away from her, your kind isnât worthy of sharing my heir!â your father points to Lloyd as he just glares at your dad. âsheâs not some object, she can make her own choices.â Lloyd rebuttals seeing your father glower made your hands shake.
âThis doesnât concern you boy.â âheâs right Dark Lord, I thought you were looking for a suitor?â Lloydâs father came in now on common grounds with you father, ânot with darkness like you, youâd just take whatâs mineâ âIt wouldnât be much of a surpriseâ Lloydâs father snaps back his red eyes showing a challenging glint similar to Lloydâs making your father red in the face,
âAll of you out, get out before I do something rash, I never want to see you in my presence ever againâ your father hissed pointing to Lloyd as the guests flood out the room not in the right of power to challenge your father.
Lloyd was pushed by his knights much to his reluctance staring back at you. you couldnât help but try to reach for him as your maids come and usher you to your room. Being forbidden by your raging father to have guards on the lookout for any presence of dragon citizens as none were welcomed into the kingdom.Â
âŚ
Itâs been days since your fathersâ outbursts, sitting in your room you refuse to leave and face him. As he was the reason for another good thing leaving your life, you sit with your legs close to your chest as you look down at your feet. Your maids becoming concern as you refused another plate, you then hear a clack against your railing then a caw of a bird?
Looking up you see a falcon flapping its wings as it had a letter in its talons you jump up to the bird and gently unwrap the letter.
You look at it instantly peeling off the wax to see what was inside, it was from Lloyd! You gasp as you look at the bird seeing that it was still there tilting its head you smile as you read through the letter.
Your smile only grows wider as you push the letter against your chest as if wanting to absorb the words, the bird looks ready to leave until you spoke,Â
âw-wait! Can you deliver something for me to prince Lloyd!â you desperately try and find a piece of paper and pen in your desk drawer.
The bird watches you race around getting the proper materials as your write frantically, pausing only to think of what to say next. Once you finished you seal it with wax blowing on it to have it dry a bit faster, âh-here, please make sure this makes it to Lloyd, oki?â the bird flutters its wings as you wave to the bird hoping it a safe flight.
A few days later it returns with another letter, and thatâs how communication with you and prince Lloyd went.
Back and forth letters by bird or occasionally from the red knight who would risk his life to deliver letters, you never felt so excited to receive your next letter as you always had one ready to deliver back.Â
But what truly made your heart skip was when you saw Lloyd sneak into your room through your balcony, it was once a month visits as you both would catch up or lay on your bed together talking about recent things or let out stressful occurrences.
Each day made you wish for the next, as you slide the box from under your bed and lift the lid to find all of Lloydâs letters. Reading them each day, telling you how beautiful you are, and how your laugh was the most addicting sound to him, or how he wishes to be next to you every night and hold you.
You never felt so loved.
âŚ
Lloydâs father was getting sicker with every passing moment, violent urges raced through his actions and orders,
Cruel punishments stack upon the daily and his subjects trapped in their own capital unable to escape their homes feeling like prisoners under the shadow of lord Garmadon, there once beloved king now a heinous overlord.Â
âI canât take it anymore, lord Garmadon has to be stopped!â
âBut weâre powerless under him.â
âWe have a duty to protect the hierarchy.â
âMy protection ends when my family canât even leave their house.â
âEnough, you are knights, we can find a way.â
General Wu, now ex as his brother had striped him of that title for his defiance in slaying neighboring kingdoms hushed the knights frantic try for solutions.
âWell do you have anything?â the hot-headed knight knits his brow at his general strokes his beard combing for answers. He hums as if having a thought that might lead to a solution.
âGeneral, what do you have in mind?â the nindroid queries as he tilts his head walking to his mentor.
Wu grabs his cane and walks over to a shelf, moving bottles filled with different herbs and tea leaves to retrieve a map.
âWe must leave.â The knights gasp,
âWhat?â
âFor real?â
âBut weâll be leaving our families, our citizens we swore to protect.â
Wu holds up a hand, âI understand that, however knights, we do not have much of a choice, we have a prophecy to protect, if Lloyd stays here any longer, I fear that the influence of his father might corrupt him.â The general unrolls the map and points to a small island, âwe will stay here, hidden in the shadows, we will come to help when needed but we use this time to train Lloyd and harness his powers to defeat his father.â
âThe fight between good and evil is the only way to eradicate the venom inside my brother and retrieve the king that we once knew.â
âBut what about queen Misako, sheâll be all alone.â Cole frowns,
âI can handle myselfâ the boys turn to the queens sadden but determined face. âGeneral Wu is right; Lloyd and his father are so much alike. I hate to admit it, but evil is coursed through my sonsâ veins. But I know there is good in him, please knights, train my son to defeat his father, I want my husband back. The books I have read give me nothing. I fear for the day when I watch the two people that I love so much fight. But I know there is no other wayâ Misako lowers her head as she pleads for the knights to take on the challenge.
Zane was the first to lower his head, followed by the rest. âWe will do our bestâ Misako smiles to the boys, âThank you.â
âThen it is settled, we leave tomorrow night gather your things and meet back here.â
âwoah woah wait, what about Lloyd, what if he doesnât want to come?â Jay interjects, Kai looks away, âweâll just have to force him.â Misako shakes her head, âno, we must convince him, Iâm sure he will be willing toâ however Kai looks knowing well and good that leading a love struck prince away from his princess will be much harder than it will be.
âIt wonât be easyâ Kai sighs dragging a hand down his face. âWhy do you say that?â Misako squints as if trying to read Kai, âBecause your son is in love with the enemy.â âŚ
Lloyd sits on his desk the moon shines on your letter as his own personal lamp, he reads over your words repeatedly. He smiles as he grabs a sheet of paper and pen to write down another letter for you, thinking of ways of how to convince Kai to deliver it to you.
âknockâ âknockâ
âCome inâÂ
Lloyd doesnât move his eyes away from the paper as he writes from his heart in fear if he stopped, heâd forget what he wanted to say.
âHey lover boyâ it was Kai, Lloyd snorts at him as he got out a sentence before putting the pen down.
âHello knight of fire, what brings you here?â Lloyd teases formalities as Kai rolls his eyes,
âCanât I see my favorite princeâ Kai sits back on Lloydâs bed as he looks around the room. This isnât gonna be easy Kai thought,Â
âHey, yâknow things are getting a bit tense in the kingdom, right?â Kai was beating around the bush, trying to find angle that would make the conversation go smoothly.
âYea, Uncle Wu and my dad arenât as close as they used to beâ Kai hums as he lets the prince continue.
âDad isâŚscary now, he doesnât feel like the same man I used to know, heâs different.â
âItâs the venom Lloyd.â âI know, but still, I fear for my people, and I fear for my kingdom, my father has gotten cruel, and I donât want my community to fall spell under his wrath.â
âGood, so youâd be willing to do what it takes to help fix it?âÂ
âY-yes! Did my mom find something?â Lloyd stands as Kai follows him, âno, your uncle did.â
âThatâs great, what is it? Is it an elixir from Mystake? Or a jewel?â Kai shakes his head,
âYouâll have to fight him, Lloyd.â Lloyd looked as though he saw a ghost. âFight. My. father? N-no I couldnât I-â âI know itâs messed up, but this is the only way, your uncle is talking about you in a prophecy, a prophecy that you hold the power to, you just got to unlock it. And once you do you can use that power to save your fatherâ Kai explains slowly so that Lloyd is able to digest the information told to him.Â
Lloyd takes a moment, âAlright, when is my training, where is it?âÂ
âWe have to leave, itâs too dangerous to train here, General Wu found an island for us to stay thatâs far enough from Garmadonâ
âWhat? But (y/n)!â âLloyd, itâs your duty to fulfill the prophecy and defeat your fatherâ âbut I canât leave (y/n) sheâs too close to my dad, heâll hurt her!â
âLloyd, we must, Iâm sorry but youâre gonna have to forget about he-â
âStop talking, Kai.â Lloyd spoke firm as Kai glares at him, âIâm only trying to tell you whatâs what, youâre not a child anymore Lloyd, you gotta start acting like a future king.â
âBut Iâm not so leave me alone.â
âLloyd!â âKai I said leave!â
âknockâ âknockâ
Both Lloyd and Kai turn to the door, the door cracks open to reveal Wu and Misako,
âMom, uncle, what are you doing here?â Lloyd was already defensive as he tries his hardest to not turn away to seem disrespectful.
But one word might just set him off.
âLloyd, come hereâ his mother spoke so calmly it almost lulled Lloyd and his anger, but he turns his head ignoring his mother,
Misako sighs as she walks over to him. âLloyd, your father is sick, he needs you. There are times at night where he is in pain. You need to go with your uncle, and you need to train under the knights to get stronger and reveal your true potential.â Misako spoke softly as she drags her soft hand down her sonâs cheek, âI know leaving is hard, and leaving the ones you love is harder, but you will see her again. And when you do, you can see her on a brighter day, with her by your side.â Misako smiles at her son as he finally looks her way.
âBut sheâll get hurt I canât leave her; I donât know what Iâd do if I lost her.â Lloydâs voice was breaking as Kai looks away not wanting to be seen a weak as he hated seeing his friend upset. He wished things were different for him. But Kai knew that this is what he had to do, âI will stay and keep watch of herâ Misako smiles as her son looks back.Â
âWhat! Mom no-â âshe is special to you, and I must stay and protect the peopleâ Lloyd closes his eyes as he tries to come to terms with everything.
âWe leave tomorrow night Lloyd, you must decide.â General Wu stares down at the floor his cane in hand, Lloyd nods as he stares down at the floor, âwe will give you time.â Misako silently ushers the two out of Lloydâs room leaving him alone with his thoughts.Â
Why did he have to leave the only good thing that he felt was going for him?
Did he have to leave you?
Lloyd rushes out his window climbing down the vines as he avoids the guards, getting too good at sneaking out to visit you.
Lloyd reaches to the stables to retrieve his horse, âhey, hey!!â Lloyd hisses for his horse as it sleeps standing up. âEngine! Câmon weâre gonna go see your favorite~â That got his horse to open their eyes Lloyd smiles as he grabs the lead and leaves with him outside the gates and to your kingdom.
âŚ
You lay sprawled on your bed, your window open as your curtains sway with the wind.
â(y/n)â you jump at attention lifting to find Lloyd sitting on your balcony rail.
âLlyod!â you race up to him grabbing his hand pulling him into your room, âhey princess~â you giggle hugging Lloyd as you nuzzle your nose into his neck.
âWhat are you doing here? My dad could see youâ bringing him in further to your room you make no push to kick Lloyd out as you both lay on your bed. âI donât care, the whole stone army can bust in here and Iâd still lay next to you.âÂ
You laugh as you move closer to him, you both had started your own secret relationship a week ago having known each other for months since your party you both found yourselves unable to be apart from each other.
âLloyd, as much as I love your secret visits, I wish we didnât have to hide.â
âI know princessâ Lloyd looks away as you notice his distance, placing a hand on his cheek you tilt your head.Â
âWhatâs wrong?â You felt uneasy, as seeing Lloyd upset made you worry. You force his eyes to look at you, âLloyd, whatâs the matter?â you lean up Lloyd follows you as he grabs your hand lowering it down to his lap. âI must leave, my father is getting worse by the second, my uncle feels that it is wise for me to train in hiding. Iâm leaving tomorrow night.â You felt as though your world came crashing down as you stared at Lloyd unsure of how to respond. âI-I..this is so sudden, why? Isnât there another way?â you get up from the bed pacing as you try and come up with anything to make Lloyd stay.Â
â(y/n)-â
âYou canât go Lloyd, Iâll miss you too much, I already dread having to wait for your messages but now I have to wait for you to return safely to me?â Your voice cracks as you try to keep your voice from getting any higher, but you couldnât help it.
Why were the gods being so cruel to you?
âI donât want to leave either⌠But I have to save my father, I know heâs in there fighting that venom, and if I donât go and at least try..I know Iâll hate myself forever.â Lloyd looks down defeated unable to see your glossy eyes as you try not to let your tears fall.
âLloyd-â you rush over to hug him pulling his body close to yours as if trying to mold yourself inside. â-I donât want you to leave-â âthen Iâll stay.â âNo.â âbut (y/n)-â
âA selfish part in me wants you to stay, but the logical side is telling me to push you out and go get ready for your fight, youâre right, you need to save your father. The faster you do it the faster you can come back and marry meâ tears run over your smile as you try and hold a strong look to Lloyd you slide your hands down to his. âI know you Lloyd, youâre a good man, with a heart that shines so much light it could brighten this entire region, you will make a strong king because of this, donât let me hold you back-â
âYou could never hold me back!â Lloyd rips his hands from your hold and cups your face you gasp as Lloyd dips down to kiss you, it was your first kiss, your eyes were wide as your hands were stunned unsure of where to put them.
But your body soon melts as you hum with content, wrapping your arms around Lloydâs neck and closing your eyes deepening the kiss as you tilt your head.
Lloyd letâs go gasping for air along with you as you stare each other.
âYou will never be my burden, you are the reason why I want to do this, to come back to you on a brighter day and make you, my queen. When I stop my father, I want to be by your side picking out a pretty dress and seeing you walk down the aisleâ Tears come flowing down again as you try your best to keep your smile up.Â
âoki, then you better come back soon, if not Iâm coming for you and Iâm gonna to make you marry me during your trainingâ Lloyd laughs with you as he holds you tight.Â
âItâs a promise then.â
You nod, âyes, promise me under this moon that we are under, make sure the gods can here you so they can mark the date of your arrival and marriage day.â You were firm as if in the same room with those said gods with pen and paper forcing them to sign.
Lloyd grins as he kisses you again taking your breath away,
âI promise to the moon and gods, and my soon to be bride that I will come back to marry you. I will fight my grandfather just to have the moment with you.â You giggle softly as you both sway unable to part away from each other,Â
âLloyd, I donât wanna let goâ you whisper, you felt as if you spoke any louder you truly wouldnât let go.Â
âThen donât, keep holding me, let me stay with you tonightâ you smile into his neck, âbut if you do, I might do something embarrassingâ you blush as you hold tightly to Lloydâs shirt. Your heart picking up speed as Lloyd moves his hands down picking you up and placing you on your bed.
His arms trap you underneath him as he smiles down at your blushing face, âweâll just cuddle thenâ Lloyd lowers his head down as he kisses your forehead, trailing down to your cheek and landing on your lips. You straddle his waist and your arms wrapped around his neck. You hum as Lloyd lifts away and goes down to your neck, you felt as though the world was spinning. As Lloyd traces his teeth down your neck, he stops at a place that made a shiver run down your spine, âthat night I met you at the party, I knew you were the one. Seeing you surrounded by flowers and the moon shining down on your face I had to make you mine.â His voice was gravely as he rambles on with praises running down his tongue and onto your neck as he slides his muscle up your collar bone.
You hum turning your head up to give him more room, âLloydâŚâ you whisper his name making Lloyd shutter over top of you.
âDonât do that princess, or I might not be able to stop.â The way you said his name was new, the passion that dripped from your voice onto his name made Lloydâs heart spike.
Lloyd finally nips down on your neck making you squeak as you hold onto his shoulders, it was a dull pain but the sensitive spot on your neck tickled as Lloydâs teeth nipped down on you.Â
You gasp as a shudder leaves your mouth biting your bottom lip as Lloyd drags his hands up and down your body. You feel him suck on the spot as a high pitch whine tries to escape your closed mouth, when Lloyd was satisfied, he letâs go. His bright red eyes stare down at you, your chest rising, up and down bright red cheeks and a nervous smile plays on your lips as you finally look up at Lloyd.
You try and hide it behind your arm, but Lloyd grabs it and pins it above your head, âuh-uh, lemme look at you princess, I gotta burn this image into my head if I canât do this to you tomorrow.â You whine as a small laugh escapes you, âYouâre soâŚdumbâ laughing as Lloyd laughs along with you. âYou canât blame me when you look so pretty under this moon⌠under me~â Lloyd leans down to kiss your cheek smooshing your face into your pillow giggling at his affection.
Opening your eyes again you try not to let the bad emotion cloud your good time with your lover, âI canât stop thinking about you leaving. I wish things were differentâ your voice was quiet as Lloyd lays on top of you, your fingers run through his blond hair,Â
âI know love, I know.â That was all he could say as he closes his eyes,Â
you close your own not able to sleep you continue dragging your fingers down Lloydâs scalp lulling him to sleep.
Thinking back on the promise he made to you and the love bite he gave you; you try your best to swallow down the lump in your throat as you let Lloyd sleep.
But your thoughts prayed for this to be a dream, for you to wake up with another letter being delivered to you by Kai from Lloyd.
However, the next morning Lloyd was gone but your bite stayed, huddling your knees close to your body to sob quietly as you hold on to the promise that Lloyd made to you under the moon and to the gods above.Â

âž knight!jimin who drops to one knee and bows his head every time he addresses you, even when you beg him not to be so formal.
âž knight!jimin who always stands just a little too close, hand on the hilt of his sword, eyes scanning the crowd like heâd fight off an army for you.
âž knight!jimin who calls you âyour highness,â but it burns on his tongueâbecause he wants to say your name like a lover would.
âž knight!jimin who bowed so deeply his forehead nearly touched your slipper the day he was appointed your guard. you gently told him to riseâand when his eyes met yours, it was the first time he ever forgot to breathe in full armor. he swore loyalty to the crown, but it was you he meant in his heart.
âž knight!jimin who sharpens his sword when suitors arrive. youâll hear the angry thrashing of steel against stone echoing through the ballroom form a nearby armory.
âž knight!jimin who secretly teaches you how to wield a dagger just in case he isnât there to protect you someday.
âž knight!jimin who refuses to leave your side when youâre ill. not for food, not for sleep, not for orders. when you wake, pale and weak, he kisses your hand softly while you pretend to still be asleep.
âž knight!jimin who turns away when you undress for a royal fitting, face red and jaw tight, even though your lady-in-waiting assures him itâs routine. he simply says, voice low and strained, âi dare not look upon her in such state. âtis not mine right.â
âž knight!jimin who would carry you through mud, over rivers, into fireâwithout hesitation. when your carriage breaks, and you jokingly say âwell, someone must carry me,â he doesnât laugh. he simply lifts you in his arms, voice low: âas thou commandest, my princess.â
âž knight!jimin who steps in front of a lordâs outstretched hand when the man tries to touch your waist. the man scoffs, âi meant no offense.â and jimin bows, cold and sharp, eyes hard: âand yet, offense was taken. her highness is not to be touched without leave.â
âž knight!jimin who sees you in a gown stitched in gold. that night, he dreams of unlacing itâonly to wake before his lips ever reach your skin.
âž knight!jimin who walks a step behind you in the gardens, carrying your cloak, your books, a flower he picked just in case you liked the color.
âž knight!jimin who falls asleep seated at your bedside when youâre unwell, fingers curled loosely around yours on top of the covers, armor long since abandoned.
âž knight!jimin who trains beside the royal pond, shirt discarded, hoping youâll pass by and noticeâbut never bold enough to call you over.
âž knight!jimin who when youâre away for a week, his bed remains untouched. he trains until his knees give out, collapses in armor, dreams of the way your fingertips grazed his cheek months ago.
âž knight!jimin who would give you everything. his sword. his life. his soul. but the one thing he wonât takeâunless you command him toâis your heart. because he still believes a princess deserves a prince, not a guardâs love.
