Wow, the event in 2016 seems so far away. 381 days, countless meetings, even more phone calls, 15 pounds, 23,000 kilometers driven, and a beard. Looking through the pictures revealed a few things, mainly; the oceans of wine and abundance of talent, training, and fulfillment of spirit (both meanings) that went on over the event. I am still thankful and humbled to have been selected to be part of it. Sitting at dinner, and tables that with senior executives, directors and peers from companies over 100 years old to ones just starting who were identified as emerging leaders, in Montréal, was an experience I'll never forget. Missing my time in New York with my family. New York itself is a crazy yet exciting city to be in. Broadway shows are crazy expensive for the unaware. The Subways are surprisingly cheap. Protip: heed AirBnB host's words, "the subway platforms are ovens and the cars are fridges". I was genuinely sweating waiting for the subway, but freezing once aboard. The Brooklyn Bridge was completed in 1883 and is one of the oldest roadway bridges in the United States. Lower Manhattan is the present-day Financial District. It is also the point at which the city of New York began in 1624. Couldn't decide between the color and black & white versions of the Lower Manhattan skyline.
