Thinking about the fact that Aaravos’ prison being placed under the sea of his own tears in his daughter’s remains basically symbolizes that he’s drowning in his own grief
Aaranyxstrid posting because I adore them dearly and have been shaking them in a jar in my head
I have nowhere else to post these actually so they will go here for now because I love aarastrid :3
Pointing out something about Leola and Aaravos cause I’ve had yet to see people talk about it.
Here before Leola’s death/Aaravos falling from the heavens you can see that the like half circle thing (idk what it’s called, I forgot) around Aaravos’ main star is pointing downwards.
However after Leola’s death/his falling from the heavens, you can see that the half circle around his main star is now pointed upwards.
Now Leola’s main star used to have it’s half circle pointing upwards just like Aaravos’ after Leola’s death/his falling from the heavens.
But when she falls to the earth/dies, her main star’s half circle is pointing downwards just like Aaravos’ before her death/his fall from the heavens. (Also I find it interesting how Aaravos is the only thing in the background that’s visible although that could just be a choice to make the scene look more interesting rather than having a deeper meaning.)
I think that the way these changes to their main stars are that they could symbolize how Leola took the kind Aaravos with her when she died and how Aaravos is how Leola lives on through him since he is the only one to remember her and he helped give humans magic like her (albeit dark magic) even going on to say that he’s doing what he does in Leola’s name.
Or maybe since Leola doesn’t seem to come from the stars but instead having been birthed (because Startouch Elves can choose their forms and I don’t think a baby is smart enough to do that), maybe she shares some of Aaravos’ stars and they returned to him when she died? (this one is a crack theory that I don’t particularly believe in but wanted to note anyways.)
Something I’ve been thinking about lately is the fact that the Cosmic Council had said something along the lines of "Leola teaching magic to humans would plunge the world into chaos" and the fact that the chaos could very well have been Aaravos??
Like the (I forgot what it’s actually called, my apologies) future vision that comes from the star primal seems to come in more of a prophetic riddle than a play by play scene of what happens so maybe when they were looking at the future of what would happen they didn’t realize the chaos was Aaravos taking his revenge and they realized too late which is why they didn’t stop him because the chaos had become the Cosmic Order after the event of Leola’s death?? Just a thought that’s probably way off mark though
Since Aaravos went back to the heavens when he died and the other Startouch Elves up there can watch all the life on earth, I’m assuming Aaravos can do the same so like do you think he keeps an eye on Claudia from up there till the seven years are up?
"How does Aaravos care about Claudia when he’s manipulating her?" The thing is that Aaravos, for as much as he clearly does care about her and views her like a daughter, is way too blinded in his revenge for Leola to not continue having Claudia as his pawn in his grand scheme of things like he does care for her but his vengeance for Leola will always be his topmost priority.
Aaravos has even said that Claudia is his only light in this world and I do think that since he was trapped in a mirror for THREE CENTURIES without anyone nor knowing when anyone would come and find him plus his clear longing for wanting his daughter back plus the fact that everyone else hates him and fears him would make him desperate enough to the point that he literally drove Terry away from Claudia to make her dependent on him so she– really the only person he has left– wouldn’t leave both because he’s genuinely attached to her and because she’s an important pawn besides it’s clear that the father daughter dynamic had caught him by surprise/wasn’t planned and you can tell from the early seasons that she was always meant to be a pawn that he can’t afford to lose.
Something I’ve been thinking about lately is the fact that Aaravos didn’t know where his prison was. He states in the ep 'thunderfall' that he didn’t get told where his prison was kept. And his prison was literally placed in the sea created by his OWN TEARS where his daughter’s carcass laid plus (I think at least?) placed where her heart would’ve been. Like I wish we got to see his reaction to that because it would have been so interesting to see
so much happened this season holy shit. like the way it feels like every episode had some sort of parallel with the alternating scenes. i’m in shock.
THIS. THIS IS WHAT I FEAR FOR RAYLLUM AS WELL. 😳😳
This season changed by perspective on Aaravos as a villain
I thought he was a master manipulator…..
someone who just pretended that he could bring Viren back to use Claudia for his escape
but he apperantly he isn’t like that……….he keeps his promises
He was gonna bring Viren back…….. he was gonna help Claudia…….
which brings me to the conclousion that he wants to test people……he gives them what they
..and he also wants to see how far people will go in their love for eachother..he uses them but never betrays them
Because love is something beautiful but it also can be distructive and far more dangerous than he is
(An example for this would be Karim who endangers the live of his sister and makes a pact with a banished elf and a bitter dragon out of love for his people)
i just had a thought that aaravos was, for when he wasn’t doing ear grub shit, somehow watching the kiddos little adventures like he too was one of us.
Damn, not much Aaravos but he really made his one scene stand out.
Aaravos: All these kids are trash. *Proceeds to dress the first three down individually*
Me: Well what about Callum? You missed him.
Aaravos: Oh he’s mine. Not even going to hide the ball on this one. He’s my absolute favorite.
