You know something I think is overlooked a lot in mdzs is Wei Wuxian power. I'm not sure if it's because of the way he views himself or the way he acts but he I've seen his actual power get overlooked a lot. Like especially when he just comes back from the burial mounds, likely cause we don't really know what happened down there. But from an outside perspective it has to be crazy because this guy has been missing for 3 months, comes back with a never seen before type of cultivation, and is just killing people left and right with new and horrible ways. On top of that wwx tends to kinda not make a huge deal out of it which you can really see when he traps Jin Ling in book 1. In an actual combat situation that tailism would be crazy good cause it immobilizes someone rlly quickly. Wwx is also crazy smart and ppl overlook that a lot too but that's a different post lol
So I finally got his husky and so far I'm really enjoying it! The plot is super interesting, the characters are great, and everything flows really nicely. I love chu Wanning and mo ran has such nice writing. I'm pretty much done with the 1st book but I have the second, which I'm looking forward to! I'm looking forward to see how mo ran discovers his feelings for chu wanning and how their relationship develops
Shout out my cousin who just listened to me talk about mdzs for 4ish hours. She's so great but the brain worms are so bad. She got a little confused w/names but I can't blame her lol. By the end she was wishing for Jin Guangyaos death and rllyyyy hated xue Yang
So I recently finished the mdzs donghua and while I rlly enjoyed it, despite the minor changes from the books plot, I am also shocked with the seemingly lack of censorship. Like they got married. I am not sure how they got away with it, but I am glad they did. They did rlly well on the final episodes imo.
Something that legit shocks me is how many ppl actually have actually like- dumbed Wei Wuxian down. Like how ppl manage to somehow forget how smart he is. I can get it, he does act dumb sometimes, but the key word is act. Because Wei Wuxian did in fact manage to create an entirely new cultivation path. And made inventions so incredibly useful that despite the cultivation world's hatred for him they still used them. Idk it just always makes me sad to see ppl portray him as someone who just goofs around and simps for Lan Wangji. While yes, he does that, but it's not the only thing he does!!
Also Xie Lian calling Yin Yu average looking to his face was hilarious. Justice for poor Yin Yu
I finally got to reading some of tgcf book 5 and I'm sooo glad I did. Hua Cheng going to save Xie Lian is great but it's also hilarious if you think abt how Hua Cheng basically got dresses up for his crush and learned a new trick just to impress him. Man Hua Cheng is so cool but he's just sooo pathetic for Xie Lian I love him sm. Also him and Xie Lian having a nice romantic stroll as the ceiling caves in? So funny. Especially bc everyone was like "get a room." They're so lovely man

So my mdzs book 5 finally arrived today and I love all the little stuff that came with it (my sister has mixed feelings abt the wangxian wall in our bedroom now but it's fine) but holy shit Wei wuxian I'm not sure if that was the best or worse love confession I've read. Dear lord my stupid stupid son he needs help. I'm glad he gave an actually sweet confession after but still. Wei wuxian my stupid son.
I need to like continue to show my bestie characters from the books I'm reading to get her into them as well because as of right now she's become obsessed with at least one character from each series. Mdzs? Jiang Cheng. Knows nothing abt him but will affectionately call him "purple guy" (accurate) scum villain? Shen Qingqiu and tianlang-jun calling them "fan man" and "the father" respectively. Qjj? Xiao Chiye who has only referred to as "fine man". Works like a charm.
I've just started the ballad of sword and wine (qjj?) and oh my God is it off the a violent start. I have just finished the 1st chapter and we already have 2 confirmed deaths and poor shen Zechuan is being tortured within an inch of his life. This is in no way a complaint btw, just a rlly interesting start imo (I do rlly enjoy it so far!)
So I was reading tgcf book 5 today and honestly the most shocking thing that has happened so far is that apparently Feng Xin has gotten with a women before. That's weird. Granted I'm not very far in the book yet but still- very jarring, very bizarre
Also where else other than scum villain will have your biggest enemy know about you because he's read the popular shut novel between you and your disciple (his son)? Honestly it's impressive how we get moments like that and also some rlly deep scenes
Svsss is so unserious and it's soooo great. If you had told me a character gets punted and then a really big important fight happens immediately after I would not believe you if it was for any series other than svsss. Also, justice for Shang Qinghua the poor guy just keeps getting it

My sister has gotten back into reading mdzs and it's gotten to the point where I'm either straight up lying to her or giving half truths. Like she just got to the part where wwx was thrown into to burial mounds and she's like "did wwx get his core dissolved? It never says if it did" and I'm like "...it didn't get dissolved..."
I recently watched ep 15 of the untamed and like. I knew it was gonna happen. I still cried. A lot. I think it was the acting but still
I've been reading a bit of svsss lately (I just started book 3) and I've forgotten how every new page is either gonna hurt me in some way OR make me laugh so hard I'm crying. Truly a lovely book serires
I JUST started watching the untamed and NOW Netflix wants to take it off??? I'm like so upset. First they take tgcf off, now this??? Netflix hates me
Ive had like the biggest urge to reread mdzs and it so weird cause like...I haven't even gotten the 5th book yet?? Like I'm just so obsessed I'm resorting to like the only form of content I know?? Like???

So the thing I have with mdzs is that I absolutely love wangxian (They are my bby boys and I love them dearly) butttt I rlly hate the miscommunication trope ngl. So I've spent the past 4 books yelling in my head "noooo, Wei wuxian he loves you!!!!" And I have I feeling that the same things gonna happen when I get book 5. Sigh I love you wangxian but yall need to get your feelings together!!!!
