Chapter Three

Day Three

Your bank account begged you to stay at home but you couldn't help the temptation of a certain coffee shop and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. You quickly took your bag with your things in it and left your apartment building. You took the tube to go to that shop. If we were to look at on the bright side... you finished your assignmnet yesterday and sent it to your prof before any of your class mates did.

When you arrived you walked in, it was cold outside again, as soon as you walked in you saw that blue eyed gentleman on his regular spot, Jessie was serving him tea. The sound of the bell on the door caught his attention, he saw you walk in, you thought you saw him smile, without giving a second thought you went to your spot. You could feel his gaze burning your body but you kept your cool. You cursed yourself for not wearing anything fashionable, you had a oversized hoodie, grey pants and white shoes.

When you looked up you saw him talking to Jessie, she was smiling dumbly, you wondered what's the topic of their conversation. You just rolled your eyes and waited for her to come to your table but she didn't even look at you, just ignored you completely and went to the kitchen of the coffee shop. ''That's odd.''

Few moments later Jessie came with earl grey tea and a slice of a cake. ''But I didn't order these.'' You began to protest, must be someone else's order, you saw the light blush on Jessie's cheeks. ''Courtesy of that gentleman over there.'' she pointed the blue eyed man, your mouth was a gap, you have never experienced a gesture like that before. ''Close your mouth sweety, it looks unattractive.''

You looked at the man with wide eyes, saw a cocky smile on his place face and he raised his hand to wave at you, you waved back.

You immediately texted your bff, unfortunately he lives in America so there is the time difference. You wished you could see his face when he recieves your text.

You took a bite from your free cake and it tasted so damn good, -maybe because its free- the earl grey tea washed the cake down your throat gently. You didn't know how to thank the blue eyed gentleman, when you looked up to face him, he had the same cocky smile, you pointed the cake and made a okay sign, his smile grew wide.

Later you tried to focus on your new assignment, you were struggling because his presence - even though he sits few tables away from you- could be sensed from anywhere. He noticed you, acknowledged your being and on top of that, he sent you these delicious things.

When you mustered up the courage to get up and thank him properly he was already gone.

Chapter One

Day One

It was a cold and rainy Landon day as usual, you sometimes wondered why you choose to stay in this city. Instead of going to your regular coffee shop you decided to just walk into a random one, it was cold and your regular one was far away. As soon as you walked in, the smell of fresh coffee hit your nostrils, you loved it, plus it was warm inside and not too crowded. You sat near the big window which was facing the street, you watched the busy street. You took off your jacket and gloves, soon a waitress with a warm smile came to the table. She looked and talked friendly, ‘’Can I get hot chocolate please?’’ whenever  people heard your American accent they would stop for a second, even though it had only been a month since you moved here, you got used to the reaction. After the cute waitress left, you opened your books and notebook, yes you were in London because of the university. You studied in America and then -thanks to your professor who put you on a student exchange programm- you came to London.

You liked studying or reading in a coffee shop, because you get to observe people and draw them, yes you could draw but you never thought you were talented. The curse of our society is that when we’re good at someting  we become blind to our talent. Even though it had only been a week since your school life started, you wanted to study because these professors here are demanding. You loved your field, which is literature, but it could be hard sometimes. On top of that, you applied for Art History course as well to torture yourself more.

The lofi music at the coffee helped you to study hard, you thought maybe you can visit this place again.

When you decided that it was time to take a break you closed the books and looked around, took a sip of your now cold drink and you saw a man sitting few tables away from you. He was writing something on his Macbook laptop, so furiously focused, you could only see his dirty blonde, gingerish hair and his blue eyes. You noticed he has Airpods, he looked so focused on the screen of his laptop that it made you question whether you are that into your field or not.

You started to draw him, it was easy because most of his face was covered by his laptop, he lost his focus for a second when the cake he ordered came and in that split second his blue eyes met yours. Your first reaction was to look on the page of the notebook, your free hand went to your hair to play. You really didn’t want to make him uncomfortable, sometimes when someone notices that you are drawing them, they get angry and ask you to stop, so you didn’t want him to come to your table and make a scene. Minutes passed by quickly and no one came to your table, you thanked the Gods and Goddesses above.

You had a quick bathroom break, when you came back he was still there so you still had time to finish the drawing.

As you inhaled the scent of freshly brewed coffee you closed your eyes, when you opened them again you saw the blue eyed man staring at you. You decided to focus on your books and study guide, trying to ignore the blush creeping up to your cheeks. Was it weird that you wanted to talk to him? Anyways, you had to study, so you shrugged the thought away and turned the page of your Shakespeare’s guide book.
