I don't normally think of Monte Vista as a place for gardening/farming but it is so lush and gorgeous IDK why I didn't do it sooner.

Sorry for the Al Simhara spam, but I think this world is gorgeous. WA is definitely one of my favorite expansions.

After a while I start feeling antsy to get back to regular gameplay though.

I like to use MC to age up everyone in town by a few days when I return home so that my traveling sims' lifespans don't feel soooo long compared to everyone else's.

Apparently I don't know how to have my sims cool down when they're too hot, because they keep catching on fire and almost dying when traveling to Egypt. xD

Frida: *angrily* Why don’t you ask your boyfriend if I’m all right, Pauline? And maybe convince him that I’m not a damn murderer while you’re at it.

Pauline: Frida... I’m sorry for everything that’s happening, and you know I’m here for you, but that’s not a fair thing to say to me. I’m not Hank’s handler. He’s just doing his job.

Frida: I know, I know. I’m just exhausted. I’ve been up all night. I’m sorry, Pauline. I’ll call you later, okay?

Frida’s Residence

Frida: This is just too much. They’re saying Erik was murdered… my brother is missing, which means he’s a possible suspect or—or he could be hurt! And Jared got shot right in front of me…

Xander: Shit is fucked, I know. What can I do to help? Do you want me to leave, give you some space?

Frida: I can’t handle any of this right now. I... I don’t want to be alone. But you can leave, if you want to…

Xander: I’m not going anywhere.

Xander: But shit, Frida… I have to tell you something. I fucked up big time. I did something… bad. Like, really bad. I’m worried you’re never going to forgive me.

Xander: … Frida?

*soft snoring sounds*

Xander: *sigh* Fair enough… you get some rest.

Xander: I’ll be fine… I can get out of this… Yeah, everything will be fine… right?

Monday, 8:13am

Frida: Hank, I’ve been up all night, and I don’t know what else to tell you; it was a guy in a ski mask, he had a gun—

Hank: Let’s talk about Erik Darling.

Frida: Erik Darling? Why?

Hank: As you can imagine, your history with Erik, and the fact that you’ve just returned to town only a month ago, are all major red flags.

Frida: *sigh* Hank, what is this, an interrogation? You know me—I didn’t hurt anyone.

Hank: Seven years ago, you were arrested for assault and battery. You attacked Erik Darling in broad daylight outside of Sunset Valley High School.

Frida: Oh c’mon, I was 16, and he had nearly gotten me killed the week before that! I think I had a right to be upset.

Hank: It says here that you told him, and I quote, 'If I ever see you again, I will fucking kill you, you rat bastard.' Did you say that, after breaking his nose?

Frida: I… well, yes, I’m sure that’s accurate… wow, I could have come up with a better insult… but—but I was reacting to him hurting me!

Hank: Frida, you should know that there’s no documentation of Erik ever hurting you. We have no police records of it. What we do have are records of you attacking him and threatening to kill him. Now you and Erik both returned to Sunset Valley within a couple months of each other, and he winds up dead.

Frida: Spit it out, Hank. Why are you trying to say? Am I under arrest?

Hank: I’m saying that you better lawyer up… and you might want to find your brother, Frida. Him running off like that the same night that Erik was killed? It’s not a good look for either of you.

Madison: Are you all right? I came as quickly as I could! Oh my god, I can’t believe you were shot!

Madison: I was so pissed at you because I thought you were blowing me off again. I’m so sorry— Jared: It’s okay. I’m fine, Madison, I’m fine!

*Door shuts quietly. Muffled voices coming from inside the room*

Frida: *heavy sigh*

Frida: Xander? What are you doing here?

Xander: Shit, I must’ve fallen asleep. I just wanted to make sure you were all right. And Jared?

Frida: Yes, we’re both okay. How long have you been here? You look like shit.

Xander: You look like shit too, doofus. C’mon, let me take you home. I’ll make you chocolate chip pancakes, yeah?

Frida: You, cook? I don’t think so, Clavell. Last time you burned the shit out of them. Xander: You’re still holding that against me after all this time?

*phone rings*

Frida: Cornelia? Sorry, I know you’ve been trying to call. My phone was dead, and I’ve just had the worst night…

Cornelia: Where the hell have you been? I’ve been trying to reach you all day and all night! Frida: I’m really not in the mood for a lecture right now, Cornelia—

Cornelia: Frida, I don’t know how to tell you this… Gunther’s missing. No one has seen him since the wedding. And Erik Darling’s death? As of a few hours ago, it’s now officially being investigated as a homicide.

Frida: WHAT? Cornelia: Frida, I think… I think something terrible has happened to your brother.
