A slightly late anniversary gift to Violet and Zach, @jokerislandgirl32, Happy Anniversary!!

Daphne was buzzing with excitement. She considered herself as someone who had a flair for romance, even though she still hadn’t found her true love yet, and as a dramatic person, she knew that she had to go the extra mile for Zach and Violet’s anniversary. Vallen and Vera had both reached out to her weeks ago after realizing they couldn’t do their crazy idea without her, and Daphne agreed immediately. She knew that Zach and Violet were going to be so surprised when they saw their vision.

Violet was a little apprehensive to go to the tip of their penthouse. Six perfect little gremlins, aka her children and Daphne, were practically dragging her to the roof, something that was exciting and a little terrifying at the same time. She gave a quick nervous to her husband Zach, also being dragged onto the roof, and felt a sense of gratitude to have been able to push through all the rough parts of the past year together and celebrate another anniversary together. As Victor and Victoria opened the doors to the roof, Violet burst into tears with happiness.

Hundreds of candles and a plethora of snacks lay onto of a blanket, pointed towards a screen playing some of Zach and Violet’s favorite romance movies. Zach and Violet were touched by the kind gesture. Violet gave her children and watery smile and gave each of them a hug, including Daphne of course, and sat down next to the love of her life, Zach Varmitech.

Day 8: I’m Good (Blue)

So this is more of a “vibe” song for Zach and Violet. I imagine them together in their pre relationship phase and this song is playing in the background as they fly down Outer Banks’ oceanfront Highway 12 on a motorcycle. Why? Because in my AU Zach can drive a motorcycle. It’s a very attractive concept to me…And this song, like riding a motorcycle is representative of a feeling of freedom.

Note on my OCs listed here: Todd is Koki’s cousin, Paige is his wife/Violet’s cousin, Nathaniel is Paige and Todd’s little boy, and Amy is Violet’s aunt/Paige’s mom. Also I’ve never drove/ridden a motorcycle so I hope this all seems accurate!

“Whose is this?” Zach asked pointing his thumb toward the motorcycle parked in the driveway at Amy’s house. 

“It’s Todd’s,” I replied cocking my head at Zach in curiosity, “why do you ask?”

“It’s nice is all…” he whispered looking closer at the chrome work. 

“What? Do you like it?” I question, surprised that he was so interested in it. 

“Yeah, I do, oh come on, don’t look so surprised, I’ve had one since college…” Zach grinned, winking at me. 

“I don’t believe it…” I whispered. 

“Why not?” His voice rose in aggravation. 

I sputtered, “I-I-I, ummm, You’re just so….scared of things and unsure of yourself….I thought you would be scared to death to even look at one.” 

He balled his hands into fists, “don’t think I know how to ride it, huh? We’ll see about that. Zachbots bring me my motorcycle gear!“

“What!?!?” I shrieked, and within seconds the robots obeyed his order and he was dressed in full motorcycle gear, all in his signature colors and with his V logo. He pulled the helmet on and flicked the visor up to look at me before he took a seat on the motorcycle.

Zach sat on the motorcycle and looked at it to get his bearings, then he grinned mischievously at me, “Do you think he’d let me ride it? Just so I can prove you wrong, you’re welcome to join me.”

“ARE YOU CRAZY!” I screamed. 

“No, I’m dead serious,” Zach replied turning to me, admittedly he did look comfortable on the motorcycle. 

At that moment Todd happened to come out of Amy’s house, he looked at Zach and me suspiciously, “hey, what’s going on you two?”

“He wants to prove he can drive a motorcycle, and he wants me to join him!” I shrieked. 

Todd started laughing, he patted Zach’s shoulder enthusiastically, “oh this I’ll pay to see, it’ll be better than when I took Paige the first time!” He fished the keys out of his pocket and gave them to Zach.

I huffed, digging the toe of my shoe into the dirt, “I can’t, I’m wearing a dress!” 

Todd laughed and spoke up, “I’ll get Paige’s riding stuff for you to borrow, Violet!”

“Todd, Todd! Oh no you won’t, I’m not going on that thing!” I screamed after him, but he soon disappeared into my aunt’s house and reappeared with Paige who starting hollering at me from the doorway, drawing the attention of the neighbors until I caved and followed them inside.

I emerged a few minutes later decked out in Paige’s riding outfit and holding her helmet at my side, I glared at Todd who walked along beside me. Paige, Amy, and Nathanial followed us giggling, “you just had to open your mouth,” I growled.

Todd smirked and patted my head, “go on little cousin, I wanna see this, and you have an audience now…”

I stood hesitantly beside Zach and the motorcycle, looking from Zach to my family, Zach was becoming impatient and he bit out, “are ya coming or not?”

“If you kill me, I expect to have a nice spray on my casket!” I groaned pulling the helmet on. I hesitantly swung my left leg over the back of the bike. 

“I’ll notify my mom, she’ll prepare a stunning arrangement for the occasion. Now put your arms around me, and let’s go,” he flicked the visor to his helmet down and I did the same, then I wrapped my shaky arms around his thin waist, holding on to him for dear life.

Zach grazed his fingers over my arms before returning his hands to the handlebars, “you’ll be fine, I won’t hurt you.” 

“Okay…” I agreed, burying my head against his back and scrunching my eyes shut as Zach turned on the engine and the motorcycle roared to life.

Ten minutes later we are flying down Highway 12, I’d screamed for the first couple minutes of the ride, but I soon became accustomed to the motion and realized Zach truly was a skilled motorcyclist.

I felt comfortable enough to lift my head and look to the ocean to our left, the sea breeze was blowing my hair behind me under the helmet…so this is what freedom feels like, I thought to myself.

I love them so so much!

The Birds and The Bees

Zach, Gourmand, and Violet see an interesting sight while trying to enact their latest scheme…TW for suggestive topics, or in other words mentions of animal mating practices.

Zach: Why are those two snakes wrestling, are they fighting over something?

Violet: Zach…they aren’t wrestling….They are husband and wife…if you know what I mean….

Zach: Husband and wife? So…are they having an argument over who gets the mouse for dinner?

Violet: No…they are doing something else husbands and wives do…something they do when they want to have children…

Zach: Ohhhhhh, are they arguing over names?

Gourmand: Is that triangular head of yours screwed on right, Zachy? They are clearly *bleeping*

Violet: Gaston! Zach…what he means to say is that they are trying to make a new generation of baby snakes.

Gaston: No, I said what I said, they are *bleeping*

Zach: 😳…I’m going back to the jet…

Who wants to bet this man knows nothing about the birds and the bees…or he’s so squirmy when it’s mentioned he wants to curl up and disappear me core.

Posting this a day late, but oh well!

Since yesterday was my birthday I decided to include a fic excerpt from one of Violet’s birthdays! It’s either her 19th or 20th birthday, I haven’t decided yet. But I hope you all enjoy it! Putting it below the cut due to length and mentions of alcohol consumption, a few crude comments, and references to a toxic relationship.

I had barely opened the menu when the sound of people singing happy birthday caught my attention. I looked into the restaurant, and saw the girl I was looking for: my Violet. 

Violet’s long hair was pulled back in a braid, and she was dressed in a simple off-the-shoulder, lilac sundress with a black apron around her waist. She smiled and blushed as her family and the patrons of the restaurant sang happy birthday to her.

The waitress in front of me huffed and rolled her eyes. I sensed she did not like Violet very much, and I was more than ready to get rid of her, “I know what I want,” I announced. 

She pulled out a notepad and looked at me expectantly, I fished out my wallet and produced a $20 bill, “I want the birthday girl to serve me, here’s something for your time.”

The girl’s brown eyes widened, and she stuffed the bill into her apron pocket, “of course, thank you, I’ll go get her!”

I was busy thanking everyone for the impromptu birthday song when Nicole ran up to me out of breath, “I’ve got a customer for you, he’s a very good tipper, he just gave me 20 dollars to seat him, and he requested you!”

Nicole usually did not speak to me because she claimed I’d stolen Travis from her, which was far from the truth. I figured she was setting me up for embarrassment, but part of me was hopeful that there really was a customer who wanted me to be their waitress. 

I smiled and said, “okay, here’s to hoping he tips me well too!”

“Yeah, you can treat yourself to a nice birthday present,” my cousin Paige winked at me, having overheard the conversation. 

“I guess,” I whispered, fixing my hair and going to the table where the gentleman was seated. 

When I arrived he sat holding the menu up, covering his face, “good evening sir, can I start you off with something to drink?”

He responded in a gruff, hateful sounding voice, “do you recommend anything? I usually prefer alcohol, but there’s none listed. What type of an island restaurant is this if you can’t get alcohol?”

I felt taken aback by his comment, “I apologize sir, but it is the preference of the owner of the restaurant to not serve alcohol.”

“Why’s that? Is she a prude?” He snickered and something about his voice was oddly familiar. I stood on my toes to peer over the menu covering his face, but he held it closer to him and raised it slightly.

I tried to bite my tongue, but it was no use, I would not stand for whoever this was insulting the aunt who had practically raised me, “Sir, I respectfully disagree with you, the owner is my aunt, and she prefers to host a restaurant where good food and fun can be had without the negative impacts that result from alcoholic consumption. If that is a problem with you, you can go to a neighboring restaurant or bar that does serve alcohol.”

“Ohhh, that’s a bold statement, but I should expect it coming from a sexy little minx such as yourself,” I could hear the laugh in his voice, and I’d had enough. It was one thing for Travis to make crude comments about me, but this man was a stranger, this was unexceptable. 

“Sir, I am sorry, but I do not appreciate your comments. They are making me very uncomfortable. If you cannot refrain from saying such things, I will have to ask you to leave.”

“Awww, come on, you can’t ask your friend to leave,” he pouted, lowering the menu enough for me to see jet black hair. 

The gears in my mind started turning, who did I know with black hair? And before I could stop myself, I asked, “who are you?”

The man lowered the menu and took off a pair of triangular sunglasses at the same time, his voice returning to normal, to a voice I'd wanted to hear for so long, “happy birthday, Vi.”

I felt a few tears fall from my eyes as I looked at his smiling face. I approached him and he stood up quickly, gathering me into a hug without me initiating it. I threw my arms around his neck as his head fell to the crook of my neck, “I’m so happy to see you, Zach,” I whispered.

TW: abandonment feelings

Daphne was excited to finally learn how to play the piano. Her father was an excellent pianist, along with her aunt Violet along with Varina and Vera. Music was literally in her blood, it was how her mother fell in love with her father and how her father paid the bills. Henry Lopez was a world class musician before he transitioned to producing music. Some of Daphne’s earliest memories were seeing concerts, watching Varina and Vera flourish in piano, and watching Henry and Violet play music together, before Henry moved out and never spoke to Violet again. It was expected for Daphne to be another musician, especially by her father. Daphne could feel him pulling away from her, so she couldn’t fail or mess this up. Daphne took a deep breath, steeled her nerves, and walked through the door. 

A couple of months later, Daphne knew she was completely out of her league. She practiced for hours after class every day, but she was still the worst in her class by far. Her fingers couldn’t move quick enough and she always seemed to forget where the notes were, no matter how many times everyone seemed to tell her. She could see her teacher sigh, out of the corner of her eye, as she walked into the classroom. She waved to Vallen, a star student and brother of Vera and Varina, and sat down next to her teacher. When she started playing, she could feel the waves of judgment from her teacher and the pain of all the other students, suffering through her ‘music’. Daphne was red from embarrassment and could feel everyone else’s eyes on her, wondering what she was doing on the piano. 

After Daphne’s lesson was finished, she waited on the curb for her father to pick her up. He didn’t even look at her as she climbed into the front seat and just started driving, pointedly ignoring her. Henry didn’t think Daphne was trying hard enough in piano and viewed it as sheer laziness. “I just wish you would be more like Allison, she was playing in concerts at your age. I’m disappointed in you, Daphne” Henry told her as he drove down the highway. Daphne didn’t respond, she couldn’t convince him that she was trying either way. Daphne could see that Allison was coming up more and more recently. They had never met, but her dad seemed to really be in love. Daphne wanted to be happy for him and she was, but the feeling of abandonment was getting stronger every time Allison came up and the chasm between them only widened. Daphne stared out the window until her father pulled up to the Varmitech Industries building, where Daphne would be spending the night while her mother worked. Henry was supposed to spend the night, just the two of them, but he decided that he instead wanted to go with Allison, causing Donita to frantically text Zach, asking if he would be able to watch Daphne. Daphne was excited to spend time with the Varmitechs, she really was, but she couldn’t help but feel the familiar twinge of disappointment that her father had let her down again, something that seemed to be getting more and more common. Daphne sighed and started walking towards the building, feeling like a burden.

Violet was disappointed in Henry. She could tell that Daphne was upset that he didn’t spend the night, and frankly so was Violet. She was always happy to watch Daphne, viewing her almost as another daughter, but was annoyed by the extremely short notice and complete lack of acknowledgement from Henry. Once upon a time, they were playing music and singing together, but then Henry and Donita got divorced. Violet was upset about the way that Henry chose to handle the news and felt bad for her friend, but was more surprised by Henry never reaching out to them. She sent a few texts to him in the beginning, asking how he was and that she was always there if he wanted to talk, but he never responded. Violet felt disappointed in Henry, yet again, he had thrown away years of friendship and kinship, never speaking to Violet again after the divorce. He even seemed to actively avoid her, never looking her in the eye, something Violet definitely noticed and did not approve of. Henry seemed to be disappointing in every category recently, he was a bad husband, friend, and seemingly father. Violet sighed and opened the door as Daphne walked through the elevator doors, wanting to be the parental figure Daphne deserved.

what is each Varmitech’s coffee/drink order?

Thank you so much for this ask! I know it took a while to get to but I hope you enjoy reading about the Varmitech Crew’s favorite drinks! I wrote descriptions for everyone’s favorite drinks “in character,” which was very fun.

This ask also helped me figure out that 2 of the kiddos have food allergies, so thank you for adding to my world building process 😊! See answers below the cut!

Zach: Anything black and with extra caffeine….My preferred drink order is Black Eye Coffee, just listen to the name! It’s perfect! It has black coffee and two shots of espresso, the perfect combination for a busy businessman, inventor, and family man such as myself. I do add quite a bit of sugar to the mix, though. I like it black, but I can’t deny my sweet tooth.

Violet: As someone with overactive bladder, I can’t really enjoy drinks. Anything but water or blueberry juice and I’m in misery 😭. But, if I am adventurous and decide to get a drink (rare), I am going for McDonald’s Mango & Pineapple Smoothie. I cannot drink anything with caffeine due to my medical conditions, and I dislike caffeine drinks anyway, so this is the perfect compromise, as I LOVE fruit and cold drinks!

Varina: Ohhhhh, so many good choices, but I’ll have to say my favorite drink is Caffé Mocha! I just love the combination of the coffee and chocolate/mocha flavor! It’s like an ultra caffeinated hot chocolate to me 😋. I’m not a huge coffee fan, but this combination makes it manageable, and it just tastes delicious! I prefer to make it at home because I can add even more chocolate to it in a dusting on top of the cream!

Vera: I do not enjoy the taste of coffee by itself, so I prefer to have coffee drinks that are so full of sugar and sweet flavors that the coffee taste is virtually unrecognizable, or it is at least masked in such a way that it’s palatable. I personally prefer cold coffee drinks and my favorite is the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino from Starbucks. I adore the caramel flavor, drizzle, and the crunchy topping. It seems more like a milkshake than coffee, which I love!

Victor: Red Eye Coffee. Dad, much to mom’s horror, had Vallen and me taking sips of his coffee as far back as we can remember. That was exactly what grandpa Tyler did with her so she was sure it would scar us for life like it had her. It didn’t for me, I grew up to crave strong, black coffee. But, I don’t like it as strong as dad, so I prefer the Red Eye Coffee with only one shot of espresso as opposed to two shots like Black Eye Coffee. Unlike dad, I cannot stand any sugar in my coffee, I want it black and unsweetened…as the coffee beans intended.

Vallen: Welp I am the Varmitech with the peanut allergy, so I’m honestly too paranoid to order coffee, drinks, or food out. I am the person that makes my coffee at home, or I’ll have a Zachbot to prepare it for me, so I can ensure I don’t have to make an impromptu visit to the ER. Dad, Varina, and Vera taught me the art of at home coffee making, and my taste for coffee fell somewhere in between their preferred beverages. I am still traumatized by black coffee from when Dad gave it to me and Victor, but I like it sweet like him, and I like it flavorful like Varina and Vera, and iced/cold like Vera…so, I prefer flavored Iced Coffee. My personal favorite is Coconut Iced Coffee. I am checking the labels for each ingredient like a hawk, but I enjoy the cold coffee and sweet coconut flavor combo.

Victoria: Guess who inherited mom’s overactive bladder and can’t enjoy drinks…me! It’s all for the best though because, like mom, I also find most drinks unpalatable. Add in my dairy sensitivity and that cuts out A LOT of options. But, if I am going to try and enjoy a drink, I will usually have the Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino from Starbucks. It HAS to be a nondairy version, but I really enjoy the vanilla flavor and little bits of vanilla beans!

Daphne goes on vacation

Daphne was excited to finally go somewhere. She hadn’t been on a large family vacation like this since she was a little baby, but after weeks of convincing, she was finally going to the beach with the Varmitech family. Her mom had to work, so she wouldn’t come. Daphne was excited to go somewhere completely alone for the first time, even if it was with a family friend. They were going to the beach, a place Daphne loved but went to less often than she’d like. Once she had double checked her packing and spoke to her mom about what to do, she left to go to the beach with the rest of the Varmitechs.

Daphne was pleased to discover she had her own room, close to the Varmitech’s suite, where everyone else would be staying. She was happy to have her own room but still be close to everyone else. She plopped onto her bed and then began to unpack. After she had changed into her swimsuit, a yellow and purple bikini, she joined Zach, Vera, Varina, Vallen, and Victor to go down to the beach. Violet and Victoria opted to stay in the hotel and meet them for dinner in a couple hours.

Daphne had fun running in the ocean with the other kids and playing, but she wasn’t used to the chaos that came with them. She was an only child so she wasn’t used to the craziness that came with siblings. But, Daphne had a ton of fun in the sun with everyone. She managed to convince Zach to be ‘buried’ in the sand, which she enjoyed doing. After he got out of the sand, they all walked to meet Violet and Victoria for dinner. Daphne was worried about dinner, she was a picky eater in general and had a shellfish allergy. She managed to figure it out though, and had a nice dinner with the Varmitechs. They insisted on paying for her meal, even though she brought money from her mom, because she was the guest.

When everybody got back, they discovered that they forgot to put on sunscreen, much to everyone’s horror. Daphne was significantly tanner, and everybody else was red as a tomato. Zach got it the worst, he looked more like a lobster than a human. He was whining to Violet, and Daphne went to her room as Violet began to apply aloe vera to everyone’s burns. In that moment, she felt grateful to not really burn as easily.

The vacation was overall great, and Daphne felt grateful to temporarily be a member of the Varmitech crew.

Daphne’s Intervention

AN: I didn’t write an actual intervention because I don’t have enough experience with them. This also has no intention to be anything but a ‘check in’ for Daphne to improve her behavior.

Daphne knew something was up. Her parents were acting differently and everyone seemed to be tiptoeing around her. She noticed Zach’s jet pulling in, and knew something was up. Out walked Zach and Violet, looking solemn. Gourmand was in video call, something was going on and Daphne could guess what it was. She knew for sure when she was called into the ‘fancy’ living room, something they only ever used if there was something serious happening. As she sat down, her family started explaining how to use the internet in a healthy way. Daphne didn’t really care at first but she actually learned a lot, and felt much better about everything after the talk was over. Her family loved her, really, and their opinions and her own were more important than the trolls online. Daphne decided that she would take a small break from social media, and start doing other hobbies, once she found them. Her grades were also awful, so maybe this tutoring thing isn’t such a bad idea. It could be nice to spend more time with the Varmitechs, she would never admit it, but it gets lonely sometimes in the huge pink mansion, her parents aren’t around as much as she would like, and she doesn’t have any siblings that she sees often or are close in age. Vera was also super nice, and is a great role model for Daphne. 

Vallen would be lying if he said he wasn’t worried about Daphne. She had always been someone he really cared about, and to hear she was struggling made him so upset. He couldn’t believe that his parents wouldn’t let him go see her, they were friends!! He wasn’t dramatic, he didn’t know what they were talking about, plus he never said anything that wasn’t true, it was their problem if they didn’t want to listen to him. He was right pretty often. But when he was around Daphne, he got all tongue-tied and weird. It was a shocking feeling, considering he had never been like that with any of his boyfriends or girlfriends. Vera claimed that he had a crush on her, but Vera was totally wrong. Right?? Yeah she was pretty and outgoing, but she was in a relationship and so was he. He wasn’t the type of guy to hurt someone like that, they would have to both be single for it to happen. It would never happen. He was content with just being her friend. Picture this….a 1920s Gatsby AU where Zach is Jay and he’s pining over Violet who’s Daisy, but Violet’s not an ass and leaves Travis (Tom). Violet owns up to her feelings for Zach and commits to him. She lets her husband Travis have his side chick in return for a quiet divorce and custody of their daughter.

And… Zach doesn’t die! They end up together living happily ever after…oh and the daughter Daisy had, well with Zach and Violet that’s actually Zach’s child, Travis never knew it. And Nick’s character is Jimmy Z or Chris or Martin, and Jordan is Aviva or Koki.

Yes this is an outlandish idea, but I like it. This movie means the world to me, and the book was one I hated in high school but have come to appreciate as an adult…I’d be butchering the storyline but I hope no one will hate for it!

I can just imagine Zach throwing all these elaborate parties hoping Violet will show up….he buys the house across from Violet, and the scene with the shirts 😭, oh it’s beautiful…

I love the idea of Zach and Violet trying to help Chris and María get together despite Martin’s reservations, and this results in Violet and María bonding! I love to think that they will spend time together, enjoying each other’s company and being there for one another!

Well, it wasn't gonna be more shocking than this

It had been a long week after their hot relaxing trip from Ski Resort. Life was good for a few days, but Varina was starting to get really bad nause every morning for a week, though she may have thought it was a bug for a while even tried to take some medicine but throw up every time she had a pill in her mouth than started to felt tried and dizzy for almost two weeks in crave cupcakes and chocolate covered grapefruit that when her friend (Ellie) was starting to peace the puzzles together asked if she could be late that made Varina slightly more nervous than usual. The next thing that she had in her hand was a store-bought pregnancy test, and for almost five minutes later, the results were very clear and it was really clear for JJ who (of course he fainted like father like son 🤷🏽‍♀️) heading that he going to be a father. They were having a hard time about telling their parents about the news it didn't take any time for her sickness to spew out in front of her mother, and then a suddenly call to JJ's parents was all that took a while to make a decision to tell them that ~

A/N: I do not own Violet or any of her children, they all belong to @jokerislandgirl32, I tried my best to write from her POV but any mistakes on context/accuracies/characterization are entirely my own. Also, the names used from the haters are meant to be funny and are not reflecting of anyone with these usernames

Daphne’s life was perfect. She was finally happy. She had to be, her life was as good as it ever had been. It didn’t matter that her dad didn’t say goodbye before he moved in with his new girlfriend Allison, who she doesn’t think likes her very much, and lives in another state now. Who cared that all of her ‘friends’ don’t seem to include her in anything anymore and say things behind her back. She didn’t mind being alone all the time, she had her phone to keep her company. Her internet followers were never mean to her and always seemed to multiply every time she checked her social media pages. They loved Daphne and she had nothing to worry about. Her life was truly a daydream. This is what Daphne was thinking about when she opened her Instagram page to see what the most recent comment was.

@/ImATrollWhoBulliesKids thought she was annoying. Maybe Daphne was a little bit annoying and nobody told her. @/IHateSuccessfulPeople thought she was an ugly attention seeker. Hundreds of comments flooded Daphne, nitpicking her for everything. There were anonymous comments too, telling her how awful she was without ever revealing themselves. Maybe Daphne wasn’t as good as she thought. She really wasn’t good at anything. Daphne decided that she would change herself to be what she thought her perceived audience would want her to be, and changed who she was. It would make the world love her more, it was worth it. It was worth it and Daphne was happy. It was what she always dreamed of. She had to do something drastic, something no one could expect, something different. Then she would be happy and be able to finally be who she had always wanted to be. She would be perfect.

Violet Varmitech was worried about Daphne. She knew the power words could have on somebody and how they could affect them, especially at a young age. She was no stranger to criticism, working in The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama. Her ex boyfriend, Travis, further contributed, nothing she ever did was good enough for him. She began to spiral, going into a dark place, until she met Zach again. He was able to remind her of the amazing parts of the world, and taught her to love again. She loved him and her life more than she could imagine now. Violet worried that Daphne was spiraling headfirst into that dark place, and nothing anybody said would get her out of it. She loved Daphne since the day they met, with Daphne arriving four days later than Donita’s due date. “Fashionably late” as she said. She loved Daphne’s determination and tenacity, and how she can get so focused on a task, much like her husband. Violet even secretly ‘shipped’ Daphne with her youngest son, Vallen. She could tell Daphne was changing. She saw her spending less and less time with her family, and more and more on her phone, alone, reading comments. The comments could be a vile place, and Violet could only imagine the horrid things people were saying about Daphne, someone so kind and determined, and what she was absorbing. She knew she had to figure out a way to teach her about the internet more and fast.

Name Significance: Donita found a model named Daphne in a fashion magazine, who she thought dazzled every photo she was in, and she wanted her daughter to be like that + alliteration. Catalina was Henry’s grandmother who taught him to play the guitar’s name. Daphne got Donita's last name due to a game of rock paper scissors she won.

Nicknames: Mi Narcisa by Henry, Daffy by her younger siblings (They couldn’t pronounce Daphne); Daphne was never a huge fan of nicknames, preferring to just go by her name

Style/Signature Colors: Daphne prefers bold bright colors, like yellows and pinks, she likes to stand out in a crowd, and will wear whatever is trending at the moment, but her mother dresses her most of the time.

Height: 5’8; Her parents are both tall and she inherited those genes, but she is still slightly shorter than them both

Personality: Daphne is very career and fame oriented, almost to the point of obsession, but she isn’t shallow, often sacrificing for others when they need her help. Daphne is a very sassy girl, and would like you to think she doesn’t care, but it’s actually quite the opposite, with her gauging the reaction to everything she says. She has always been a very funny person, with a kind of dry humor, something she becomes known for on her social medias. Daphne is a very kind and ambitious person, but she is also very insecure about herself, often believing everyone hates her, even with evidence to the contrary. 

Family Relationships: Daphne, Dabio, and Donita are like three peas in a pod. As Daphne has grown older, they have only gotten closer, and Daphne views Donita and Dabio as her greatest inspirations to become a success story. Daphne’s father has pulled back from her a lot as she’s grown up, but she is determined to try and fix their relationship, if not for her sake, for the sake of her half-siblings. Daphne loves her half-siblings, and although there is a large age gap, she calls and texts them as often as she can, and is as enamored with them as they are with her. Allison, Daphne’s stepmom, hates her and has never had a meaningful conversation with her, so Daphne has begun to pull away from that toxic relationship, in favor of better ones. 

Love Intrests/Future Family: Daphne had a couple boyfriends in high school, nothing serious, always ending after a couple weeks/months, but she has always been looking for ‘the one’. She began to question if they even existed, after seeing people around her fall in love so quickly, and and questioned if she was even worthy of someone’s unconditional love. She eventually finds that in Vallen Varmitech, Zach and Violet’s youngest male child. (Ill add how they met at a later date, @jokerislandgirl32, if you have any ideas hmu)

Career and Talents: Daphne has been focused on becoming famous her entire life, eventually finding it through being an online influencer. As a result, her grades in school, while okay, were never as high as they should have been, with her really struggling in math and sciences, barely passing those classes. The only reason she passed was through extensive tutoring by Zach and Vera. Daphne also tried to become a musician like her father, to quickly realize she had no talent musically despite her best efforts, a big insecurity and disconnect from her father. 

A few years after high school, Daphne is invited to join a content creation house (Think Hype House etc) which she accepts the invitation. It is here where Daphne finally gets the worldwide fame and recognition she always craved. She stayed there for a couple years, before leaving and going on a trip to Greece to try and meet her grandparents and uncles. It is in Greece where Daphne realizes she doesn’t like where her content has gone, with the quality decreasing significantly from when she first started, and started to return to her roots of fashion and travel, with a bit of comedy skits mixed in. Daphne finds comfort in her new life as a superstar, and began to branch out and started her own PR company that she owns and operates.

Fun Facts:

Daphne’s favorite holidays are Fourth of July and New Years because she is udderly obsessed with fireworks

Her diet consists of almost anything, with an emphasis on sustainable sourcing of her meat, with a notable exception of shellfish and nuts, as she is deathly allergic to them both. She is a notorious picky eater though, making mealtimes difficult at times.

Daphne loves country and latin pop music, with her favorites being Shakira, Bad Bunny, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs, but she will listen to almost anything; she isn’t picky about music at all.

Daphne loves all nature except for bugs. She will scream when she sees any type of bugs (incuding moths and butterflies) and will run in the opposite direction. Other than bugs though, Daphne is down to hang out in nature, loving to take pictures of all the interesting wildlife. Her favorite animals are starfish and flamingos

Through her family and travels, Daphne has become fluent in Greek, Spanish and French in addition to English, a fact she will brag about to anybody who will listen

As a child, she didn’t watch much traditional tv, opting to watch reality tv, like The Real Housewives and Love Island, which her parents agreed to due to lack of knowledge of what they were. Her favorite movies though was the Barbie franchise, watching all of the movies and shows religiously, almost memorizing parts of them. She wanted to be Barbie so badly as a child, dressing like her for 5 Halloweens in a row.

Hi!!! Thank you so much for this question! I’m going to let Zach answer this one! This answer technically has two parts, so I’ll post part 1 here, and I’ll tag you in part 2 as soon as I finish it!

Zach’s Response

Well, we technically have 2 proposals…and I proposed both times. The first time was March 16st, 2014. Violet and I had just found out we were pregnant with Alexandria, and I wanted to ensure the safety and security of Violet and the baby if anything were to happen to me.

I had been planning to propose to Violet for a while, I’d made a ring for her and had it hidden in my closet, waiting for the right time to propose. I tentatively planned to propose to her on her 23rd birthday, on April 22nd, 2014.

But one unexpected, high-risk pregnancy later, and I knew it could not wait. I wanted to propose to her, I wanted to marry her, I wanted to take care of Violet and the baby, I wanted to properly start our lives together. So, I knew the first step was proposing.

I was an absolute mess when I proposed. I wanted to make the moment so romantic and special, but I panicked…I just had to do it. So, I walked into the closet, pulled the ring out…and walked into our master bathroom…where Violet was experiencing a horrible bout of morning sickness.

I should have just walked out, left her alone and waited until she was feeling better, but she looked up at me from her curled position on the floor by the toilet and saw the triangular ring box I’d fashioned for the ring.

“Zach? What’s that?” She croaked, shakily pulling herself into a sitting position.

I tried to hide the box behind me, nervousness creeping into my voice, “I…uhhh, it’s nothing…”

Violet started becoming annoyed with me: “Zach…I can see it, if I can see it that means it’s not ‘nothing,’ what is it?”

I hesitantly pulled the box out from behind me, and I lowered myself to the bathroom floor in front of her on one knee, “I wanted this to be perfect…But…I can’t wait…I wanna take care of you, I wanna take care of our baby…I wanna be with you forever…”

Violet was staring at me with tears in her eyes and her mouth dropped open as I opened the box and said, “Violet Virginia Tyler, will you marry me?”

Violet couldn’t get any words out for a moment, she just started crying and looked between my face and the ring. She finally choked out, “yes, of course I’ll marry you, Zach! Ohhhh, I’ve dreamed of this for so long, Zach! Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I love you, so much!”

I shakily pulled out the ring and slipped it onto her finger, then she threw her arms around me in a tight hug. She cried and mumbled about how much she loved me against my chest as I stroked her hair, crying into her shoulder, professing my love for her, too.

We remain like this until…well…she became sick again. She pulled away from me and I had to fight the urge not to become ill myself, but I refused to leave her in that moment. I just rubbed her back, and we waited for it to pass.

After she finished being ill she looked at me with a weary expression, “Zach, I’m so happy, please don’t take this the wrong way, but…couldn’t you have waited until I was done being sick…”

I smirked at her, cupping her chin in my hand, “you’re sick all day, if I waited I would never have proposed.”

Violet snorted, “well, that’s true, we wouldn’t want that, and honestly, I don’t care…we’re engaged, we’re gonna get married, we’re having a baby, we’re gonna be a family, and I couldn’t be happier.”

Zach and Donita

Donita Donata didn’t need anybody’s help, especially not some annoying tech billionaire who probably never worked hard at anything, she just happened to meet. So why couldn’t she stop thinking about the conversation they had the night before? He seemed genuinely interested in her designs and introduced her to some of his clients, meaning for the first time since she moved to America, she had clients. Donita was still grappling with her opinion on Zach, when she walks into her cheap apartment and sees none other than Zachary Varmitech himself and about 5 Zach-bots, milling around. Zach somehow managed to convince her to accept a loan from him to start her empire, in exchange for her help in defeating the ‘Wild Ratts’, two brothers Donita had occasionally seen on the news. Donita reluctantly agreed and the two got to work.

Over the years, Zach and Donita became closer and closer, with Donita and Zach viewing themselves as business partners and very close friends. Donita was there for all of Zach’s biggest achievements. She had designed and sew Violet’s wedding dress, handmade clothing for Zach’s children, and was always there to listen to Zach, even when he was whining to her. Therefore, Zach couldn’t understand why he was seeing a picture of Donita and Henry, a man he is convinced won’t last and isn’t good for her, outside a courthouse in Vegas. He was always the impulsive one with Donita and Violet talking him out of his craziest schemes, and now he’s finding out that his sister friend and business partner got eloped in Vegas without even telling him, talk about hypocritical. He was shocked, hurt and wondered about why they were moving so quickly. 

Once Zach found out about Daphne, he understood why they got married so quickly, but was still upset he missed their wedding. Once Daphne was born, Zach and Violet were quickly enamored with her, insisting on buying way too many toys for her. But Zach never was able to warm up to Henry, even at his wife’s insistence to at least pretend to like him. When Donita’s marriage began to fall apart, Zach tried to get her to ask for a divorce everytime he saw her, much to Donita’s horror and annoyance. Right when Zach decided to give up, Donita told him she was going to get divorced, and asked him for a good lawyer. 

Zach knew that Donita deserved and still deserves better than Henry. He wants her to find a love like he has with Violet, but is content with her being happy and single alone. He is eternally grateful to Donita for all she has done for him, and the bond she has established with his children, something that makes his heart swell. All he ever wanted was for her to be happy and if that was being single, he was fine with that. Besides, Donita Donata didn’t need anybody’s help.
