Pirate AU it is! Thank you everyone who voted. I have the plot figured out as well as the main characters and the setting. The bonus is that since it's going to be set in Runeterra, I will actually really get to sink my teeth into some of the magic within LoL lore, but it won't a super heavy magic story. Pirates will still be the main course.

What I'll have to figure out is how pirate-y I want to make it. Pirates did some pretty horrific things IRL (still do) and I don't want to make our characters out to be monsters. I'll have to figure out how to write a more anti-hero, romanticized pirate story while still making it exciting and the stakes high for something as crazy as a pirate adventure can be.

Maybe I'll start watching and reading some pirate stories for inspiration. Give me some suggestions if you have any!

So it’s been an insane week at work and I haven’t had much time to write Low Lays the Devil in Me. Hopefully I can get some done tomorrow and Tuesday (my weekend) 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I've read chapter 10 of Low Lays the Devil in Me and it's been one of the most interesting because of the information that has my attention and how Mohan's role will be, will it be a great help or a disaster because of his sense of justice.

Like:

1: This plan was devised by Cassandra, Vi, Caitlyn, Vander's family, Grayson and half of the council (Shoola and Mel) in collaboration with Noxian spies, a clandestine operation (the stories remind me a lot of the Black Ops games if you know the Call of Duty saga).

2: Will the next chapter be about Vi and her time in Stillwater and Section 41 or Room 41? (correct me if I'm not wrong).

3: Will there be a romance between Jayce and Mel like it happened in S1 of Arcane?

4: Will Renata Glasc (if you know the character) appear in the future?

PS: Thanks for reconsidering if Gloria will be a vastaya, I imagine her as a Kitsuné like Lest and Ahri (sorry for my lack of knowledge of the Ionian species, I'm new to LOL lore and there are species that are very unknown and some have hardly any information).

1. I haven’t played COD in literally 20 years so I’ll have to take your word for it 🤣

2. Next chapter will not be from Vi’s POV at all.

3. Not sure if there will be an actual romance or just have it be a running gag.

4. I don’t think I’ll have Renata Glasc in this fic, but not ruling it out. We already have some enemies established so not sure if I want to add another one at this point. We’ll have to see.

This is such a weird world and I have no idea how my brain came up with it. I'm not sure if anyone will actually find it interesting, but I'll still write it because it's a such a fun concept to play around with, even if it incredibly strange.

If you want a hint: I have corporatized the world of the gods and asked myself what would happen if the God of Death wants to retire.

Mentioned this in a reply on a different post, but thinking about doing a Hades/Persephone CaitVi oneshot, but definitely with a twist (definitely not focusing on the original Greek version lol). Maybe after the next chapter is out 🤔🤔

Okay, so I've started writing the beginning of the kind of world I'm creating for it and I am almost giddy at this concept! It will be inspired by Hades/Persephone, but it will be veeeeery different than the original story. Excited for you guys to see it!

Ch. 10: The Alliance Part III "Low Lays the Devil in Me" CaitVi FanFic

Caitlyn was surprised to see Vi actually facing the mirror, but then felt her heart sink when she saw why. Her brow was furrowed with frustrated concentration as she carefully attempted to apply concealer to her face tattoo. She growled in annoyance when the black ink peaked through what looked like one of several layers. Vi huffed and threw the concealer brush onto the counter, which bounced harmlessly into the sink. “Fuck,” she whispered angrily and hung her head in defeat. Caitlyn stepped in and slowly put a hand on Vi’s shoulder, which made her whip her head up in surprise. “Cupcake, I didn’t hear you. I—” she said, then as she remembered what she had just been doing, went to wipe off the make up with the back of her hand, which only smeared it across her cheek. “Damn it. I—I’m sorry, I should have asked to use it—” Caitlyn put a finger on her lips and Vi silenced herself. She patted the counter and Vi pulled herself up to sit on it. Without speaking a word, Caitlyn grabbed a washcloth and wet it before she gently wiped the smeared and ineffective makeup off, tenderly cupping Vi’s chin as she did so. Vi closed her eyes, either in shame or to accept the comfort Caitlyn offered her, and let out a shaky breath. “I don’t want your mom to see it,” she quietly confessed.

I honestly got so caught up in just enjoying writing that I didn't realize I was so close being done with the next chapter 😂 I just have to edit and will hopefully have the next part of Low Lays the Devil in Me up soon!

This is kind of weird to think after writing 260,000 words in just under 3 months, but I think I am only just getting started with writing again. While I still plan on ending "I Will Give You My Rebel Heart" series after Low Lays the Devil in Me, I still want write something after, even if idk what that will be yet. Maybe I'll focus more on writing prompts and one shots or maybe do whole other long fic that will be totally different than these have been. I'm not even sure if I'll only stick to CaitVi or try something else out or maybe even dip my toes in an original idea.

It's been amazing to sink my teeth into something this kind of creative process again and I'm excited for what I'll do next!!

“Gods I’ve missed you both so much,” Vi said with such tender sincerity, Caitlyn would have been jealous if her girlfriend wasn’t talking to her breasts. She wanted to laugh at or tease Vi, but she was currently still focused on getting the feeling back in her legs and oxygen to flow through her lungs properly. While she did so, Vi kissed the objects of her affection, careful to avoid overstimulating Caitlyn. Caitlyn couldn’t blame her, as amusing as she found it. She had missed Vi—and her body—so much that she also wanted to worship every inch of her and the evidence of that attempt littered the other woman’s skin.

Not sure if I should post the next chapter yet. I said in an earlier post that if I found a natural break, I would be done and I think I'm at it and i would be happy with it if if this was the whole chapter. It would mean a slightly shorter than average chapter (which is still pretty long considering the word count on some of these chapters lol). But I know there's one specific scene that won't be in it yet that everyone has been waiting for.

It's always so wild to me how quickly words add up when I write. I don't try to make the chapters as long as they are, but somehow they end up that way. Right now I just finished the beginning of the next chapter by setting up a certain scene and then had the scene play out. Then I'm like, cool. That's about 1/3 of what I wanted to get done this chapter. Then I check the word count and it's over 3500 words long and I'm like wtf?? How?? 😂

Anyways, suffice it to say the next chapter of Low Lays the Devil in Me will probably be another long one unless I find a natural break in what's going on.

I think it just really hit me how niche Low Lays the Devil and Heart Made of Glass are since I just I replied to a comment saying my CaitVi fic is a steam punk Romeo & Juliet inspired spy story 🤣😅

Sometimes I have to go back to “Heart Made of Glass” to double check someone’s name or a description or lore or something. When rereading whatever part I need, especially in the beginning chapters, I’m like “oh, look at my babies. They have no idea what is going to happen to them.” 🤣

Caitlyn put a hand on the door handle and turned it, only to find it locked. Oh, she thought. She didn’t have a key to the Lodge. She never had to worry about it. She pushed the small gold button next to the door and heard the doorbell ring throughout the building. Caitlyn adjusted her backpack and tapped a thumb against her thigh. Finally, the door opened and she was greeted by the sight of bright blue hair in long braided pigtails and light blue eyes wide with surprise. “CAITLYN!” cried Powder so loudly that it made Caitlyn’s ears ring. She suddenly scrambled to hold up Powder, who threw herself at Caitlyn and lifted her legs to wrap them around her waist. Careful not to drop her, Caitlyn hugged the younger girl close, her heart singing with joy at seeing Vi’s little sister.

Okay, the next chapter is done but I still need to edit and I’ve run out of time to do that. I can probably get that done tonight or early tomorrow. We’ll see how work goes. I gotta say, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out 😁

I'm going to try to get the next chapter of Low Lays the Devil in Me out before Saturday afternoon (US time), but no promises. I have some plans this weekend and I also work, so there's a chance our reunion chapter won't be out until sometime Monday. I'm going to try to not make you wait that long, but I also am not going to rush such an important chapter! It'll be worth the wait, I promise, if that's how it shakes out.

Work was not good today (happens when you start the day breaking a piece of equipment that costs $300 😬) but everyone's kind comments on here and on AO3 on Low Lays the Devil for the last chapter has me cheesing like an idiot. Thanks for reading and commenting and just being so nice!

They needed to expand the prison since they threw so many Zaunites in it.” Caitlyn felt rage flare up in her and her lip curl in disgust at the idea of the desperate Zaunites clawing up from the mass grave of the fissures only to be thrown in prison for just trying to survive. “I’ve dreamed of dismantling Stillwater brick by brick as my first act as councilor,” she practically growled, her knuckles turning white as she gripped the edge of the table. Cassandra chuckled darkly. “When I lie awake at night thinking about what those Wardens are doing to Violet, I entertain the same fantasy.” Caitlyn met her mother’s gaze over the blueprints and suddenly felt a strong sense of kinship with her over how much they both cared for Vi.

INCOMING! I have some edits I need to do for the next chapter of "Low Lays the Devil in Me" and I'm hoping to get it done in the next few hours before I have to go to work. You guys wanted a Vi rescue mission? You will soon have 11,500+ words worth of a chapter on it 😉 just know that it gets pretty dark given the situation our characters have found themselves in, but not too graphic.
